Horrible experience!

Horrible experience! I wanted to walk off the lot but they were blocking me! They advertised Toyota gold certified but they have no clue what that means! Dings and scratches all over the car. They offered to paint 2 pieces . I just gave up and bought the car after being bullied and felt that I couldn’t leave. My anxiety was through the roof. I was supposed to go get the 2 pieces painted but I’m scared to go up there . Just going to sell the car as fast as I can. I’m supposed to go get the free oil changed but I have a fear of dealing with them. Avoid if possible!

Absolutely cheaters and liers

There sales person doesn’t let you walk out the door without buying a car, doesn’t matter how your credit score is doesn’t matter if you have an income, putting the wrong information on the system getting you approved for a loan with a very high interest rate, doesn’t give you correct information about the car, as they get the information from internet not checking if the car they are selling to you have that features or not, I bought a fully electric car from them, i was told the car driver 270 miles rang when i fully charged the car it doesn’t run over 150 miles, and if you have the AC on it comes to 100 miles, when I went to cancele my contract the next day they told me it can not be cancelled. I am going to sue this company

Service takes forever

I waited 2.5 hours for a visual inspection— not even an oil change. Lupe was kind and helpful, but the wait times are absurd. The waiting room has a child-friendly area which is not adult-friendly when parents let their kids SCREAM for hours.

Avoid, Dishonest Bait and Switch tatics

Put in a deposit here in the middle of February 2022 due to seeing the no markups sign and was told my car would arrive within three months. Followed up Robert Jack Panis (RJ) a few days ago and found out they are prioritizing people with trade ins and i am about 15 MORE months away from receiving my car while my friend who made their reservation at walnut creek around the same time received their vehicle already. Dishonest dealership and would not recommend.

Nice, Technicians not good

The liaisons are very nice. The technicians that wrok on the cars are not knowledgeable. Not able to find issues. I have been back multiple times and they cannot fix the issue.

Thank you Sales Manager Hector

I found Hector Gonzalez, a Sales Manager, at One Toyota of Oakland to be one of the most professional sales managers I have met while I have searched for a used Japanese compact or sedan car for my price range at various brand name dealerships and secondary used car dealers for the past few weeks. He was extremely helpful in addressing all my concerns about purchasing a used vehicle from the One Toyota dealership, went through the quote thoroughly without hassle, was excellent in keeping in contact with me throughout the process, and made me aware of additional warranties and issues that other dealerships never offered to help allay some of my concerns when purchasing a used vehicle. I would highly recommend asking for Hector Gonzales if you are purchasing a vehicle from their lot for his excellent customer service and professional demeanor.

Waste of time and money

Lost a lot of money here and management was completely obstinate when trying to discuss with them. I brought my car in and they performed a "routine" battery test. Within days my battery and starter were failing, they charged me another $500 to replace the starter and the issue still persisted. They took no responsibility when I came back in a third time, and tried to get me to pay more money before they could even diagnose the original problem. Complete scam and they were unprofessional the entire way, especially the manager Tim Regan. Don't waste your time or money here.

Great Car Buying Experience

Fantastic Experience!!!! Just bought a 2014 Toyota Tacoma there on5/6/17, and was very impressed by the whole entire experience. First I was greeted by a very nice young woman before entering and then I met Drake who was my salesperson helping me the entire time. There was absolutely no pressure to buy and he explained everything clearly and answered all my concerns and questions. I would have no problem referring anyone to them looking to buy a great car. I also met Jordan who was very helpful also. Great teamwork they have there in Oakland, and the best part, there is no haggling on price. Thanks Drake and OneToyota of Oakland, Dave Evans

Used car sale

I did the pre-approval through CapitalOne, called to verify the car I wanted was still available, Mini 2012. Spoke with Louis, and met with him 30 minutes before closing. The car I was approved for was not available in a manual transmission, however he did have a similar model slightly older but in great shape. I was in and out of the dealership in less than 20 minutes. He was thorough, and even dropped the price and gave me better financing options than I expected. I highly recommend Louis of Oakland Toyota. He is fair, efficient, and works in the best interest of his customer.
