Horrible Service Experience

I purchase a 2010 Nissan Titan truck in December 2018 from Kelley Buick GMC in Lakeland, FL. About a year later in late November 2019 the transmission went out in my truck. I had it towed to local Aamco Transmission Company in Jacksonville, Fl. At the time I wasn't too worried because I had purchased the extended warranty for the truck. I figured it would cover any of my transmissions issues I had. This is where the nightmare began with Kelley Buick GMC and the CAP warranty company. The transmission shop submitted the claim to the warranty company for repair of my transmission. The warranty company came back and denied my claim. The CAP warranty company stated that the transmission clutches and valve body components were not covered parts underneath the warranty that I had purchased. The customer service person I talked to on the phone at the warranty company stated that under paragraph G of the warranty contract any vehicle that has been modified was not covered. Well...my truck had been modified prior to purchase, not by myself. The warranty company's denial letter stated that the repairs were not covered due to the transmission company telling them that the clutches and valve body were bad in the transmission. Nowhere in the denial for coverage letter did it state that the claim was denied due to the truck being modified. The warranty company told me one thing and sent a letter saying something differently. I reviewed the the repair order Aamco Transmissions sent me and nowhere on the repair order did it state that the transmission clutches are in need of repair. And in reviewing the warranty contract nowhere does it state that the transmission valve body is excluded from a covered repair. The CAP warranty company based there denial decision on what they said Aamco Transmission told them over the phone what was wrong with the truck. The repair orders says something differently! This decision was made without the warranty company sending someone to physically inspect the transmission themselves. Here comes the issue I had with Kelley Buick GMC. I had called them about the issue I was having with the warranty company. They called the warranty company on my behalf and told me that the warranty company was not going to budge on their decision to deny me coverage. Blaine the general manager at Kelley Buick GMC Lakeland came up with two possible solutions for me. Kelley was going to tow my truck from Jacksonville to Lakeland, they were going to cancel the warranty and apply what I had paid on the warranty towards repairs to the truck. I could choose to do this or trade the truck in on a newer truck. My credit was not good enough at the time to purchase a new truck so I chose to go the route of having Kelley Buick GMC Lakeland tow my truck down to Lakeland and apply the refund on the warranty towards repairs on the truck. FOR TWO AND A HALF WEEKS Blaine the GM at Kelley Lakeland strung I along saying the truck would be towed and it never was. Finally I asked him if it they were going to tow it and fix it or not. He stated that he found out that the warranty refund would be sent to the lien holder of my truck and applied towards the principal owed on the truck. He went on to tell me that he was trying to help me out but honestly, "I HAD PURCHASE A USED TRUCK AND IT WAS ON ME" I got upset and told him I had considered getting an attorney. He then hung up on me. So I then emailed the managing partner Jason Stokes at Kelley Bartow. He called me right back and explained to me that at some point the vehicle was not the responsibility of Kelley Buick GMC to fix and it was my responsibility. I got conflicting information from Jason Stokes at Kelley and the CAP warranty company. The warranty company told me the repair was denied because the truck had been modified and there denial letter said something totally different. It appears to me that Kelley Buick had sold me a warranty that I was never going to be able to use. It also seems like when Kelley Buick GMC found out that the warranty company was going to deny my claim based on the truck being modified...they realized that they had sold me a warranty I could not use and had the warranty company write a denial letter to cover their tracks. Kelley Buick GMC chose to do the wrong thing. What they don't know about me is that I served my country honorably as an Army Ranger. I served in Afghanistan and Iraq both. I was injured in combat and was medically discharged as a result. At one time in my life I was homeless due to my PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury. I got back up on my feet and it was a monumental moment for me to be able to purchase this truck. It symbolized for me all of the hard work I had accomplished to get my life back in order. I am very appalled and disappointed in Kelley Buick GMC for treating a disabled veteran in this manner.

Best Decision of 2019

My Company was in the market for a new truck. Kyle Davis helped me throughout the entire process. He is very professional & addressed all my questions. This is my 1st GMC truck & certainly will not be my last. I highly recommend Kyle for your commercial vehicle needs. I received a great trade in value & financing was a breeze. I had my two children with me, they enjoyed the fresh popcorn and beverages that were provided to them. Kelley Buick GMC has a new customer for years to come. Thanks Again, Douglas Carpeta

Absolutely great experience

Absolutely great experience working with Nathan! For one he is very knowledgeable on the whole experience. Was very helpful weighing out the pros and cons of which vehicle was suited for me. Straight forward and honest through the whole process. The GM Mr. Major was also great! Was willing to do what was necessary to get me into a great truck. I'll definitely be recommending the guys at Kelley to everyone when showingbiff my new truck!
