As soon as I walked in the dealership, I was treated like a friend of their family. While no large investment should be a simple decision. Ed Kirby's Adventure... goes above basic standards in"customer service". Making the process of car buying enjoyable. Thanks Austin!
I have had nothing but problems with cars since 2012, and this month, I was ready to venture out from buying older cars with a cosigner, to getting a better... car on my own credit. I had reached out to Adventure Mazda, hoping to find a used Mazda. When I met Jacob Massey and explained my limited monthly budget and my concerns about my not-so-perfect credit score, he started backwards and helped me search out cars that fit my price range. I fell in love with a 2012 Kia Forte and the Adventure Mazda team sifted through 4 different loan options to offer me a GREAT monthly payment that was right in line with my budget. I drove off the lot so happy. Two days later, the transmission suddenly went haywire in my new car. I wasn't upset (I get that wierd things happen to machines, no matter how oiled and tuned they may be) but I was devistated, and super worried that I may have invested in a lemon. I returned the car to Adventure Mazda on a tow truck. They not only honored their "3-day Guarantee no-questions-asked" by taking the car back, but they laid out my options for me (repair or trade), and when I expressed my concerns about taking the car off the lot again, they diligently, patiently, and thoughtfully helped me transfer my downpayment to an even newer and better vehicle for the same monthly payments as before! These guys rock, and Jacob Massey is a great sales rep to work with. This isn't your everyday car dealership. They don't get commissions off of your sale, so they won't pressure you to buy what you can't afford, and they want you to leave the lot happy, not stressed. If you don't want to be pressured, and wish someone would just work with your budget rather than trying to convince you to stretch it even more, and want a dealership that honors their word, ADVENTURE MAZDA is the way to go!
We purchased a 2017 Mazda3 Sport with 20,000 miles on it from them in August 3, 2019. I did extensive research on the car. They advertised the car for... $7,000 to $8,000 under the Blue Book value. Later, we found out why. We drove 2 hours to look at this car, because we thought we were getting a heck of a deal. When taking the car on a test drive, my wife and I noticed that it was awfully bumpy. We even said something to the salesman, Seth, about the bumpy ride, and he said it was because the roads in Chatanooga were bad. This would have been an opportune time for him to disclose to us the actual reason the ride was so bumpy, but he chose not to. Neither did the manager, Kergan. Or the finance manager. Fast forward to October of 2019. I'm driving down the road, and all of the sudden I hear metal on metal with the rear brakes. No sign of the brakes starting to go bad, just all of the sudden metal on metal. I get out of the car to look at the brakes and notice that the rear tires are completely bald. Needless to say, I was fuming. We'd had this car 2 months and the brakes were already shot and the tires completely bald. I figured it was either hub bearings or something going on with the suspension for this to have happened so suddenly. I called Edd Kirby's Adventure Cars numerous times before I could get ahold of anyone. Every time I tried to get an extension, it'd ring to a voicemail that was full and could not take any more messages. Real professional. I finally got ahold of the finance manager who informed me that my car was still under Mazda's factory warranty. Funny he didn't tell us this when we bought it. It's almost like he did not want us taking the car to a Mazda dealership for servicing. Hmmmm... I took the car to an actual Mazda dealership outside of Atlanta and told them what was going on. After sitting in the dealership all day, they come back to me and tell me that there is something wrong with the suspension, but the warranty doesn't cover it. Why? Because the former owner of the car had tampered with the suspension and lowered the car. On top of that, the car came from a "salt belt" state, so the whole underbelly is a rusted mess. Yet we were not informed of any of these little details when we purchased the car. I called and spoke with a manager named Andrew. The whole time I'm on the phone with him, I hear people in the background cutting up like it's some sort of frat house. Saying stuff like "Oooh. Look at Andrew doing his new manager job." He told me he needed to talk to his service manager and call me back. I told him this had nothing to do with his service manager, as I was not going to drive to Chatanooga to have their service department look at the car. About two hours after speaking to Andrew a gentleman named Jimmy called me. Claimed he was the GM. He called the manager of the Chatanooga dealership and they agreed to pay for the brake repairs, and they would "work something out" with me, regarding them selling me a car with a tampered-with suspension. He told me he would call me the following day. I thanked him for paying for the brakes. Before I left the Mazda dealership in Georgia, I asked the service manager how much it would cost to fix the suspension. He said the car is f**ked. He said it would never ride like it's supposed to, no matter what anyone does with the suspension. He and the manager of the dealership told me this car should have never been sold. They told me that if someone had brought this car to their dealership in this condition, they would have given them fair market value, then sold it for scrap or sent it off for auction. They told me the best thing I could do is trade the car in and get whatever I can for it, before everything starts falling apart on it. They told me that fixing the brakes addressed a symptom, not the problem. Like giving someone with a brain tumor an aspirin. What caused the brakes to go so fast and the tires to wear so fast was the messed up suspension, and that
Wonderful experience you will enjoy your time there. My family only spend our my with this dealership and look forward to getting a suv this fall.
We love this place! We got a 2018 Kia from Greg and Aj. First is the staff was so nice and forward. Second The company is very clean and organized. Last... but not least they put us with cars in our range and DID NOT push for a more expensive car.. They worked with us on everything! We could not have asked for a better car buying experience.
Return customer. And I will be again in the future. Drew and Connor are the absolute best! They were kind, funny, friendly, compassionate, and made the... process stress-free. Drew made sure I got exactly what I wanted. We never felt pressured or pushed. It was like buying a car from a friend. Connor worked tirelessly, without complaint, to make sure we got the right financing with a payment we can afford. I will NEVER buy a car anywhere else. I love my new car, and these guys for making it possible!
I will have to say this was the best buying experince I have every had and will be telling everybody I know to come in and ask for Johntan (JB). He was... very professional and polite and did amazing job in helping me get to the right car. He made me feel at home and no stress about the buying process.
My husband and I had a wonderful purchase experience with Josh as our salesman. He was very helpful and considerate. He went out of his way to make use... feel important and made sure all our needs were met. We are so happy to be a part of the Edd Kirby Adventure family! Thanks so much!
I went to Adventure Cars in Chattanooga after hearing their famous radio advertisements. I figured it could not hurt to check & see what they could do... for me. I honestly did not intend to leave with a car at all, much less a new car. I had been told “We cannot help you” so many times at other dealerships that I was a little gun shy & hesitant. From the moment I walked in, I was treated so well! My needs were met far more than I could have ever imagined! I particularly appreciated how Connor sat down with me & looked at what I could afford first, & we looked at cars after that. That alone meant so much to me! As a woman, I am always afraid of being jerked around at any business that deals with cars. However, I was treated like a normal person & not any less- even if I am a girl & have no clue about cars! Connor was too legit! He literally went above & beyond for me! We ran into a few obstacles (on my end financially), but he was determined to work it out so that I would be happy & have the best deal possible. I highly recommend Adventure Cars; you will not be disappointed!
