I contacted Parks for a car I found online. The sales guys I worked with, Randy and Travis, were courteous and helpful. The remained very friendly throughout the process. They allowed me to have a 24-hour test drive of the vehicle at my request. Once returned, they wouldn’t really budge on price, which I expected for the vehicle (2015 Camaro 2SS with 9K miles) but once we agreed on a price, they kept presenting me with hand-written bank terms and payment amounts on a piece of paper and making me sign them while the finance manager was supposedly looking for better bank rates. That struck me as odd. We then moved into the finance office with a guy named Brian. I felt like I was being sold by an auctioneer. He was aloof and elusive. He started selling a warrantee to us before anyone had given us the final terms and payments of our loan agreement, giving us what our payment would be with the warrantee, without any idea of what it was without it. We had to finally ask to see our loan agreement and that seemed to put him out. And he never seemed very forthright with what the coverage he was selling us actually cost. We eventually had to get out our phones and calculate it ourselves. And even then, it seemed to change as we spoke and he made comments like “Well I could have told you if you’d asked”, which we had. I felt like I couldn’t get a straight answer and it left me with a bad taste in my mouth. We also never got any instruction on how to use our free XM or OnStar trial subscriptions, or what to expect and when with the title, etc. (which I still have not received a couple weeks later). Not a warm fuzzy by any stretch. We received all that at other local dealerships we’ve purchased cars from, one as recently as 8 months ago, so we have something relevant to compare to. I know the ‘slick’ closing routine is part of the traditional used car buying bit, but nonetheless it left us feeling uncomfortable.

I requested information via email about a particular vehicle. A couple of people responded to my inquiry. One requested a phone number which I declined to provide and therefore she did not provide the information I wanted. Another salesperson did provide the information requested. We called the following day to make sure they still had the vehicle we were interested in. They emailed me twice that day encouraging us to come and look at the car. We drove 30 miles to the lot. A salesperson showed us the car and we drove it. It did not drive smoothly. The salesperson took us in her office to look for alternate vehicles. She found some that were a little above our price range, but we looked at them anyway. We then prepared to leave and she asked us to stay while she went to get her business card. We waited a good 5 minutes in the July heat while she talked to her supervisor and tried to find another vehicle to show us. We did not appreciate that tactic and I was more than ready to leave without her business card, but my husband was not willing to do that. We have visited around 10 car lots in this shopping experience and only one other lot was more annoying than this one.

We are looking to upgrade to a diesel. We were told by salewoman that truck was there this morning. Get there and nope mystery! Magically sold last night. Ok we are not financing we have the money. I came in from ph call with insurance (after they tried the switch.. to a 2017) my husband was irritated when i came back in. Well the sales manager wanted to know where my husband got that money from. That is none of his business!!!! Just because we dont sport around in suits and a limo doesnt mean we cant afford a new truck. For Gods sake my husband was wearing a John Deere shirt .... may be we supply wonderful wheat fields for his morning toast... anyway that was rude. We will happilygo somewhere else

I was in a car wreck and needed to find a replacement car. On a Wednesday I ran into the loan officer from my credit union and she told me that if I purchased a car by that Friday I would qualify for a special interest rate they were offering. I found a Dodge Charger on the Parks website and called to see if it was available. The salesman said it was and that he would have it ready for me to test drive. I arrived 30 minutes later, about an hour before they closed. The car wasn't ready, the salesman I had spoken with was gone and it took 3 other guys to finally locate the car. I took it for test drive and really liked the car. They also had another charger that had just come in so the salesman offered to let me test drive it also, which I did. The first car was the better deal so I told him that I wanted it and he printed out the specs so I could drop them off at the Credit Union the next morning. He then offered to let me drive the car home. I declined but explained that I had preapproval for loan and made arrangements to pick up the car during my lunch break the next day to bring it by my mechanic & pick up the money from Credit Union once they wrote up the loan. He agreed. The next morning I got approved for the loan before Parks opened. The car was no longer showing up on their website (it was removed sometime during the night) but I thought it was because I was buying the car. I called as soon as they opened to make certain the car would be ready. The salesman said he would call me 'right back'. 4 hours later I still hadn't heard from him so I called him before leaving work to go pick up the car. He stated that he had called me and left message (he didn't) stating that the car was already sold. Apparently BEFORE I test drove it (and before he offered to let me drive it home for the night....bet that would have thrilled the new owner!). I was not too happy but asked him if they could get the other charger into their shop for inspection ASAP since I really needed to make the deal happen by end of the day on Friday (it was Thursday at this point). Sure. On Friday morning I received a call from Parks. I assumed it was to tell me that the other car was ready for me. Nope! It was a customer service rep wanting to know how my 'experience' was. I told him what had happened and he said he would speak with the staff involved. He stated he would call me right back to let me know what was going on ....that was 3 MONTHS ago. I am still waiting for the call. Obviously they don't care if they make a sale or not - I wasn't just a tire kicker; I had the money and the desire to purchase a car immediately. I had treated everyone with courtesy the evening I did the test drive and apologized that we didn't have much time to get the deal done. I might write this off as a one time bobble but last year I was in the market for a truck to pull my horse trailer. I needed a one ton, long bed with at least an extended cab. I spoke with a Parks salesman who told me that they had exactly what I wanted. I drove 30 minutes to the dealership. When I got there the truck had mysteriously 'disappeared', however he had 2 others to show me that would be 'perfect' (his words). They were both 3/4 tons. I explained to him that they were not powerful enough to pull my fully loaded 40' living quarters horse trailer (granted they would for awhile, but it would take a huge toll on brakes, transmission, etc.) Their max towing rating was at the very limit of what my trailer comes in at. I am a woman but I was raised on a farm and have been pulling horse trailers since I was 16 years old (almost 30 years). He admitted he had no experience towing trailers. Anyway, for the next few months I would get weekly calls/emails from him telling me that he had just got in 'exactly' what I needed.....the truck would always turn out to be a 3/4 ton and usually a short bed too. I finally had to block his number and email address. Anyway, I am very disappointed in Parks.

I have purchased numerous vehicles in my lifetime. I find it curious that all the vehicles from Parks came with only one set of keys. The salesman told me that if I called in a few weeks and told the dealership I lost my keys they would get me another set. Why all the hassle for an extra set of keys? I think it's a crock. I also question how well the vehicles sold are checked for mechanical difficulties. Other than these issues it was a typical car buying experience. The salesman was decent and the owner did fix an issue with price to my satisfaction. The key issue really bugs me so that issue alone would prevent me from buying from them again. Three cars with only one set of keys each! I don't believe it.

Quan was helpful in working with me and finding a truck that came real close to what I was looking for. He was honest when he didn't know the answers and found answers for me. He did keep dodging the question on price until we got into the process after considering trade in. I wasn't impressed with the process at the dealer as once I told Quan what I was looking for, he came back with only one vehicle. I think I would have liked walking the lot a little. I didn't buy because Parks' first offer was ridiculous. Their 2nd offer was more reasonable but by then I changed my mind about the truck.
