Sales team wants to go home early so they lie about the closing time and tell us to come back tomorrow. A few weeks ago I was helping a co-worker (we are teachers) look for a used Acura Integra. Auto City showed one in stock that my friend got very excited about and so I made plans to go with her and my family on Sunday to help hammer out a fair deal. Time went over a little shopping at Parkway Plaza and I called the dealership at 4:55pm. The salesman who answered the phone said they had the car but that, “We are all leaving in 30 minutes today”. I thought this was odd since their store hours showed a 6pm closing time for Sunday but since we were less than 2 miles away I told him we would be there in a few minutes. My co-worker is a little shy and also very accommodating of people. She said she felt bad if the store is closing early today so I told her I would get out of the car first and talk to the salesman first to see if they were willing to stay to make a deal. We arrive at the dealership at 5:05pm and the car is parked in front with someone waiting by it. I get out of my vehicle and introduce myself to the salesman who quickly tells me this is the car but he doesn’t know much about it and that I spoke to someone else on the phone who is elsewhere on the lot closing up for the day. I told the salesman the car was for my friend, she is willing to purchase it today but is waiting inside my vehicle for me to give the signal because she doesn’t want to inconvenience anyone. The salesman told me that they are closing and it would be best to, “come back tomorrow or another day”. We left the dealership and since my co-worker is busy with her own work and family during the weekdays she said she can only look at Integras on the weekend. The next day I get a call from someone else at Auto City asking when I could come in to look at the Integra. When I explained what happened the day prior and that we cannot come back during the week the woman apologized. She said that the store does indeed close at 6pm on Sundays, that it is also not out of the question for salesman to stay after closing to make a deal, and that they had a different sales team on duty on Monday. I relayed all this information to my co-worker but she was rather upset at this point and said she would never go back to a store to purchase an item with salespeople that lie and can’t be bothered to help because they would rather skip out on work early.

BAIT AND SWITCH SALE TACTIC Purchased my vehicle with this salesman thought it was all good till I found an extra 4k on the bill after the sale. The salesman bait and switch the warranty. I had fully intended to use my own financial company for my loan at a lower APR then they were offering... Dimitri came back to me and said if I were to finance with them he would throw in a 100k mile 5 year warranty, and a Life time key fob replacement warranty. I specifically asked multiple times to be clear that if I did that it wouldnt change the OTD price. I got a very clear answer it would not. I proceeded with the deal as presented. It was never presented to me as an option or an add on. It was suppose to be a free deal During the contract signing they talked to me to make sure I missed the change in price on the contract. And when handed the warranty paper copies they were handed to me in a already sealed envelope so I would be less likely to open then up to catch the cost of them. The sales tactic was not only slimy but also illegal and am filing a report with the attorney General,BBB and department of consumers affairs as well as consulting with a consumers lawyer into this matter

Fareez, Franck, & Isaac were super professional and helpful. It really matters who you work with when purchasing a used vehicle and we lucked out with these three individuals. They were accommodating and not pushy. Highly recommend!

Be warned. If you get a failure on your car within the warranty period, return the car. To give credit due, they towed the car and fixed with no questions asked. However, the same exact part failed 2 months later and was now out of the warranty period so nothing they can do about it. $7k later, I believe the business objective to be, install cheap parts that will last enough to get out of the warranty period.

I wish I could give this used car dealership 5 minus. Although used car dealerships don't have good reputation in our society, but hands down Auto City is one of the worst. I would not recommend them to anyone. Totally fraud and dishonesty to say the least.

This is the most efficient experience in all my years of buying a vehicle. Insightful. Not pushy. Helpful when I was in a bad place financially. You guys are the best. I’m going to be buying all my vehicles in the future here. I will be referring all my family and friends.
