Very disappointed
Rude customer service and a dirty, overpriced van to test drive. No thanks. We took our business elsewhere. Unbelievable that a business would not have cleaned the car before a test drive!

This review is to share my experience at Platinum Auto Exchange. My Chevy Avao was on it's last days. We all know new cars are expensive so I was looking into a used car dealer. After looking online I found Platinum, and I called about a car I was interested in. "Hello, may I come in to see the Civic LX? Is it available?" Mark was informative and helpful. We planned out an appointment time for me to be able to come in and check out the car and go for a test drive. Upon entering the garage area, it seemed to be well cleaned and maintained. The cars were kept clean on the inside and were smelling great. No smoke stains or any smells like that. Mark had me take the Civic on a test run and it was smooth. The transmission and throttle response were good. The decision to buy the car was made and the paperwork was quick and easy. The price was great and under what a public dealer would make me pay. The insurance for the car was made right away, and there was no need for a trip to the DMV. Taking the car home felt great and now I have a reliable car for years to come. I made sure it was a clean title by running a carfax, and it is, just as Mark said. Would recommend for anyone to come in and out with a solid car.

GREAT - Good deals - Easy buying process
After looking far and wide for a clean Mazda RX8 I thought it was impossible to find. All the RX8s were beat up and surely unreliable to an extent where I cannot daily it. I waited a bit and found that Platinum just got one in. I called Mark and he was ready to make a deal on it. I made an appointment and when I got there it looked super clean and in good shape. I was allowed to test drive it and it ran well. The rotary was nice and the clutch wasn't burnt. Mark was honest with all the work and maintenance that was done with the car. The paperwork was easy to do and I took the car home. Fast forward 3 weeks the car right now has minimal problems and is amazing and super fun. Thanks Platinum, I would come back in the future and would highly recommend.

Do not recommend Platinum!
-did not disclose car was salvage vehicle until I was taking it to my mechanic. Turns out there was frame damage ( making it unsafe to drive and likely uninsurable) and a mysterious oil leak. - when I first called they told me there was a $500 non refundable charge to let me take it to my mechanic! - surly salesman told me the price was non-negotiable ( before I took it to the mechanic or even said I wanted the car)... two days later the price dropped $1000 on their web site. - salvage vehicles are salvaged because the insurance company thinks they are not repairable or are worth less than the repair costs...ask yourself why they would walk away from a late model car? You get what you pay for, so buyer beware!

The car had no issues mechanically, It was under warranty from Honda dealership. We personally drove that vehicle, while it was in inventory. It had no issues. Please contact us at 847-228-1214 so that we could clear this up.

Thieves
This dealer is full of thieves they will ask for money to hold the car for you and take out more than they said and not show you the receipt, when asking for the money back they say yeah come back and we can fix this and then tell you no refunds take this crappy over priced car

What a taste of time. Horrible customer service. I told him I had a loan and he said he wouldn't take it then proceeded to keep asking me how I'd pay before I even test drove it. Had a proper way and he said it'd be $1,000 something to do a loan through their company(which I'm definitely not going to do). Employees suck and so does the business don't buy here. There are like 5 places within 20 minutes to go to where you can actually get someone that isn't a beginner salesman. Very unprofessional

Mack, We have policy to where you can bring the mechanic into our shop, or take it locally. This policy is put into place, mainly so that if other customers would like to see the car, It is not far from our main shop. We are sorry if there was any miscommunication.

So I found a subaru that this dealership had on the market and from the initial contact through email to the visit I was taken seriously. Which you dont see much of that in other dealers. I came to test drive the vehicle and they were really nice to me, answered all my questions and even threw in a free warranty ;) no pressure buying here. no stress. no attitude.
