My experience purchasing a 2023 BMW M3 from D & C Motor

My experience purchasing a 2023 BMW M3 from D & C Motor Company was deeply disappointing due to a significant lack of transparency regarding the vehicle's origin and its implications. I bought the car expecting a standard US-spec vehicle with the typical 3-year/36,000-mile factory maintenance plan. However, I later discovered from my local BMW dealership that the car is a Canadian-spec model, rendering the standard US maintenance plan unenforceable for service performed in the United States. This crucial detail was never disclosed to me during the sales process. Had I known, it would have fundamentally changed my purchasing decision. As a direct result, I am now personally responsible for significant upcoming maintenance costs (estimated at over $4,600 for services like oil changes, spark plugs, and brake pads) that would have been covered by the factory plan on a US-spec vehicle. Furthermore, this situation prevents me from extending the factory warranty via BMW's Ultimate Care+ program and will likely make the car more difficult to resell down the road. While the CarFax may have indicated a Canadian origin, simply providing the report without explicitly explaining these critical implications is, in my opinion, a failure of adequate disclosure. Compounding this issue, I have attempted to reach out to D & C Motor Company directly to come to a fair resolution. I contacted their Sales Manager, Finance Manager, and General Manager, but unfortunately, none of my attempts to get a response have been returned. This lack of communication and willingness to address a significant issue is concerning. I believe D & C Motor Company should have been upfront about the 'gray market' status of the vehicle and its direct impact on standard US BMW coverage. This oversight has created unexpected financial burdens and significantly diminished my confidence in the purchase and the dealership's customer service.

I went in just dreaming through their wide selection of

I went in just dreaming through their wide selection of luxury vehicles and came out with a great deal on a Porsche! I am extremely satisfied with the professionalism and customer service from the gentlemen Liam, who assisted me. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who is looking for a beautiful car and non pushy salespeople. Everyone was friendly and any questions I had were addressed with full transparency a no runarounds. You will be in great hands with these guys.

My purchase at D&C was smooth and easy! These guys are absolute pros and treated me like I was buying the most expensive car in the showroom, which is saying something! In reality, it was their most moderately priced car, and shipping to another state. They walked me through the process, set everything up, and were very attentive and timely at every step from paperwork to my concerns about the shipping. Trevor S. was super cool and didn't miss a beat. He got me the exact car I had been shopping for, gave me a great price and got it to me 2 states away. D&C was the car purchase of a lifetime. Totally awesome.

Terrible customer service.

Terrible customer service. No one gets back to you in timely manner (Ethan is who worked with us during the initial buying process). When trying to reach someone to get information, they say they will call back and never do. Spent over a month going back and forth with them to find out where my plates and registration were, and they keep giving me the run around. On top of that, the woman in charge of processing the registrations is incredibly rude and overheard her say rude things while hanging up the phone. Completely unprofessional and would not recommend working with them unless you want a headache and to be treaty poorly because of their poor work ethics. On top of this, when performing maintenance on my vehicle less than a week after receiving it, realize that the basic maintenance listed on the carfax was not actually done. How do I know? Fresh oil that had maybe 20 miles driven on it since receiving the car should not be pitch black with sediment in it if had truly been changed. Overall, stay away!

We had a terrific experience on Sunday, February 23, 2025 working with Ethan at D&C Motor Company. Through the company website we identified the SUVs we wanted to test drive and scheduled an appointment for the next day. When we arrived, we were introduced to Ethan who patiently worked with us over the next few hours, encouraging us to test drive the SUVs we were considering and answering all of our questions. My husband and I had ample time to consider our options and were never pressured to make a decision. This is the second vehicle we have purchased through D&C Motors. This is probably the only place we will ever buy a vehicle. Ethan and the finance representative were total professionals. Thank you all.

Less than a week after purchase and only 254 miles driven, my vehicle requires over $7,000 in repairs. When I brought this serious issue to management's attention, I was met with a concerning lack of empathy or willingness to resolve the situation. I regret not thoroughly checking reviews across multiple platforms, particularly Yelp, before making my purchase. The stark difference between the Google and Yelp reviews is telling. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend D&C Motors to other buyers. A car dealership's true character shows not just in the initial sale, but in how they handle issues that arise afterward. In this case, their response to a significant problem so soon after purchase has been deeply disappointing. You lost a great customer and future business.
