Would not recommend for a few reasons.

Would not recommend for a few reasons. The biggest issue is that I was lied to by the Finance Manager, Greg Souza. He told me I HAD to purchase GAP insurance or Wells Fargo would not give me a loan. I explained I always get gap through my insurance company, he said no they said you have to purchase a plan through us. This added $995 to my purchase price. Once I got the paperwork from WF I called and they said they absolutely were not requiring me to get it. Now I have to apply to have it taken off and it comes off the principal of the loan, they payments don't go down. I am furious and the dealership is making me jump through hoops to get it taken off. I have to SNAIL MAIL a form to them. INSANE. They snail mailed to me and now I have to sign it and snail mail it back - WHAT!?!!?!?! Ridiculous! While I thought my sales person, Johnny Walker,was a nice kid, I realized after I was made a fool of. That is on me for not doing my due diligence with regard to my trade. He showed me a quote from CarMax that was $1500 less than what CarMax they quoted me - come to realize he inflated the miles by 3000 which is why. I had 65,000 and he put in 68,000 and said it was a "default". I purchased a CPO Tiguan, and negotiated to not have the small marks on the rims touched up but in hindsight I realize how badly I was screwed between this and forcing me to purchase Gap Insurance and I never should have agreed to them not fixing up the rims. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED and would say to avoid this dealership if you are single woman, I completely feel taken advantage of and would not recommend them at all. I also had to go back to get the second key programmed, which isn't a huge deal but an annoyance on top of these other major issues. I would give Greg zero stars if that was an option because when I reached out he had the gall to tell me I misunderstood so he is gaslighting me on top of it all. He told me no less than 3 times I could just refinance in a few months and take the GAP off - so no it was not a misunderstanding. Infuriating. 6/27/25 I am editing to add the following: After having some time to simmer, I am adjusting my review of Johnny Walker. I think he is a good salesman and was helpful and the issue I had w the trade and car max was more on me for not doing my due diligence. So I have edited my rating of Jonny to better reflect that. I would consider doing business with Jonny again. However I would never recommend Greg Souza. I would not return to Coastal as long as Greg is there as I am disgusted with what he did and that he has lied about it after the fact telling me I misunderstood.

I do find it funny that I never heard from anyone at the dealership until I sent a scathing email. Even though they respond to every other positive review.

Aside from truly loving the performance of our vehicles

Aside from truly loving the performance of our vehicles and being loyal Volkswagen enthusiasts, the customer service at Coastal Volkswagen has consistently been excellent. My family has purchased four cars from this dealership, all while working with Evan and Joe. Evan and Greg were great to work with.
