Write a reviewThis was my first time bringing my car to Volvo Village
This was my first time bringing my car to Volvo Village Danvers and I couldn’t be happier. Rodents chewed through wires on my engine harness and the car had to be towed in. I called to see if they could take it in on short notice, having never serviced my car there before, and they were very welcoming and accommodating. They even worked with my insurance adjuster to get the work approved. Gladys was my service advisor and she was very helpful and communicates well. They ended up needing the other 2 keys to my car, and she had a technician stop by my house on their way home to pick them up! Really great service! I’ll be bringing my car here for any future repairs/maintenance.

Very good experience
I signed a lease (with option to buy at the end) in November 2023. The dealership honored two significant incentives that had recently expired, and covered the first month due to an issue with the credit card. They have a wide variety of cars available and I am very happy with the car I ended up with. The people were pleasant, explained all the terms and details and worked with our schedule. Very good experience!

Disappointing Experience
I had the worst experience of my life at Volvo Village. Rude doesn't begin to describe how I was treated. My safety features were no longer operating correctly and I reported this to the Dealer and their Corporate Office. Sadly, i ended up having to hire an Attorney and luckily, my case was settled with the Corporate Office and I was able to work out a deal for an early termination. Because the G.M. wrote an extremely rude letter that I am not welcome there after I voiced my concerns, I went to another location to return my lease. What surprised me most is I have heard the worst things about this dealership. After going to another location to turn in my vehicle, it was night and day different. Be wary! False promises, and rudeness. Thankfully, I am done with Volvo and have already purchased a luxury vehicle.

Warranty bait/switch
Bait and switch on CPO warranty! Volvo certified vehicles qualify if under 5 yrs/80k mi, to purchase 5 yr extension (from in service date) with unlimited miles. While we negotiated last minute details, and on the LAST day of Costco discount, Volvo Danvers says they suddenly no longer offer the Volvo warranty/only their own issued through Zurich (which I later learned nets them a greater profit!) Lost out on my $1,500 Costco discount elsewhere bc I was being strung along in Danvers. This is the second time I tried to buy from them, first time they never made minor repairs they stated would be made (buff out scuffs, clean seats, etc.) on another purchase, which of course I had already paid for that car, so I was stuck with it (during Covid so options were few/limited.) This time I requested to see ALL the details, including buff out of door scratches, before signing P&S, which is when-at 4pm- they suddenly no longer offer the Volvo issued/backed extended warranty. They also reduced the value of my trade during the P&S write up by the exact amount of another APlan discount I was using. I called them out on that, they then “approved” the increase in order to make the sale, but then flopped on the warranty last minute. Never again, never again. Boston Volvo is the same organization, would stay clear of them too! Just know before you go, they are unlikely to be 100% transparent. Get everything in writing before you agree to anything. Also heed their two star rating-apparently it’s there for a reason.

Very poor customer service.
Very poor customer service. A man opened a door and said hello and that was it. We looked at all the cars in the showroom and no came over. There was staff in their offices but they didn't come out. We were there for at least 30 minutes.

They Lied About A Manufacturer's Defect
I had a terrible experience with the service department at Volvo Danvers. The intentionally withheld information about a sunroof manufacturers defect that caused catastrophic water damage to my vehicle. They billed me nearly $1500 for a repair that should have been no charge. Volvo has well known manufacturer sunroof defects across many models, defects that cause leaks and flooding. They lied. There are certified class action suits against Volvo for these problems as well as many solo litigation grievances. Do NOT do business with these people. I will never buy Volvo again. Check out the internet.

Terrible & embarrassing experience with finance
I recently went to purchase a used car that I saw online, I met with the sales representative who was very friendly and helpful. He even sent me a nice video of the car the following day to help secure my decision. The issue arose with the finance department. I have never been so embarrassed for both an individual and myself for the way this finance representative acted towards me. I went in wanting to purchase said vehicle and after asking her to run more than 2 scores to secure my interest rate, which she did not like me asking, and having a conversation about a program that was currently listed on their website (they said it wasn't active, but just posted on their website still and they didn't know it was still posted - which is fine, that is all she would of had to say). She stood up mid conversation, stormed into the lobby and screamed to all who were in the dealership that should could not and would not work with someone like me, I was in her office for no more than two minutes. There was no attitude in this conversation and no out of the ordinary discussion that should have moved her to act this way. I have purchased 3 vehicles this year and I have had no one ever come close to the way that she spoke to me. Extremely disrespectful and unprofessional, and embarrassing for both parties. I took my business elsewhere and refuse to do any business with them.

I am sorry for anyone who has to deal with the Finance
I am sorry for anyone who has to deal with the Finance department. They have individuals working there who should not be in customer facing roles. I have never been more disrespected by a individual in my life. Asking standard questions about the buying process, and only about two questions in (less than two minutes) she stormed into the lobby of Volvo and yelled how she cant work with someone like me. Not only was I embarrassed for myself, as I did nothing wrong and am not a difficult person to deal with, I was extremely embarrassed for her. I would never be able to show my face again in that building if I did what she did to me. Completely disrespectful and repulsive. I will not now or in the future do business with this company if they employee people like her.

Dear Allison, Thank you for the candid feedback on your experience with our finance representative. I sincerely apologize for the level of service you received. I realize we are not perfect, and feedback like you have provided is one of the only ways we can improve. I have already set up a meeting with the involved parties to review your experience with them, and see how we can prevent this from happening in the future. I take pride in our customer service and have always put the interest of our customers ahead of our own when possible. You are always welcome to see me directly for what you may need in the future. Truly terrible purchasing experience.
Truly terrible purchasing experience. Was buying a uniquely configured car from out of state and had to rely on their salesman’s photos etc. Asked numerous times to send all pictures of scratches, nicks, dents, road rash etc. They just sent me pics of a perfect car and said there’s no damage anywhere. When it arrived, the cad looked 10 years older and more worn than we were led to believe. It wasn’t even detailed properly. Bruce, the sales manager, promised to make it right. He stopped returning calls and emails shortly thereafter. Avoid this dealership. There are good dealerships out there. You don’t have to use these guys.
