Well worth the drive to come up from San Diego and deal with Abe. He was a pleasure to work with. I had a light come on on the car during my test drive and he dealt with it promptly and professionally to my satisfaction before we had finished the (minimal amount of) paperwork. I would definitely recommend Abe and Starfire to anyone looking for a quality fair priced vehicle with a minimum of hassle. Abe, I'll be in contact in a couple years when my kid turns 16! Thanks!

Starfire Auto offers a wide variety of cars on their up-to-date website. They have a professional relationship with a lender and a repair shop, which makes getting financing and future maintenance and service convenient. Abe was on time for our appointment, the office was comfortable, and the paperwork was printed out and explained in an efficient manner. I received my registration from the DMV one week after purchasing my vehicle. All in all, a good experience.

We were looking for an inexpensive used car for my daughter - I explained we weren't looking for flashy. Abe made suggestions as well as providing the two cars we were interested in seeing. He was totally comfortable with my request to take the car we chose to a AAA mechanic before we committed to purchase - and he trusted me to take it over to the mechanic I chose. The mechanic gave it a clean bill of health (we may have to replace the clutch in the next couple of years), and we bought the 2001 Golf. My daughter was thrilled. On the way home... the car started flashing the battery warning light. When we pulled over, we had trouble starting the car again, and the gears seemed to be wonky. Oh, no... I called Abe, who was horrified. He called his mechanic and asked us to take the car over right away. We did - it was the alternator, which Abe had replaced (no cost to us). The mechanic also spent a few minutes with my daughter going over shifting in this car (it requires a lighter touch). It could have been a really miserable situation, but Abe made sure the car was repaired and in the condition we expected. He also kept in contact with us while the repairs were made so we knew what was happening. We were really impressed with how he handled the situation and the concern he showed.

Starfire gives you the ease of buying from a private seller with the assurances of a dealer. I was very skeptical of the price of the car thinking that there would be a bunch of fees tacked on. Abe said no, its the price plus tax. I drove all the way from San Diego and would do it again. The whole process was pressure free and hassle free. My Mazdaspeed Miata is still running great, I would definitely make the trip again. Abe is very mindful of the cars he puts up for sale.

A pleasurable car buying experience! Who knew? Abe and K are lovely people who lay everything right out on the table, clear and unpressured. We love our Volvo and our repairman told us we got a very good deal. I would definitely go back for the next car and highly recommend such personable, professional and warm people.

I dont ever do anything well under pressure, so when I came up to Starfire I was really happy to not be greeted by the usual salesman. In fact...they just came and handed me the keys, introduced themselves, and left me alone with the car! I couldnt be happier, I took my time, did my own inspection and the car was just as described. Finally I was happy that my search was over. I did my shopping online so I knew exactly what I was looking for. Everything else went well, I was in and out in just over an hour. Will definitely recommend to my friends.

Looks like a really good place to purchase a vehicle. Unfortunately, the one I was interested in was sold when I sent my request. Site says if I can see the vehicle, then it's still for sale. That was not the case. They did respond quickly to my email, however, so customer service appears to be good.
