On April 25, 2025 I called Richard Honda to schedule appointment to have my 2020 Honda Civic repaired. I informed them that I’ll be having it towed because it was the splash Guard undercover. They scheduled me appointment for 1 PM. They did a multi point inspection and they sent me a text with different stuff they suggested I needed with the bill of $3043.82. I advised them no I didn’t want anything but what I sent to the for. They called me back within a few hours and told me my car was ready. I called and I paid for it and I had my car towed back to my house. When the car arrived to my house, I took it for a drive and it was scraping, and I looked under the car and it was something hanging from under the car. I called them back. My service advisor asked me to bring the car back in. and I told him no I wouldn’t because I had a Tow there and towed home. Then the service advisor suggested that I stopped at a dealership near where I live in so they could push it back in the clamps back in. I told him once again no I wasn’t. Then the service advisor suggested I do my body work first. I asked him why didn’t he suggest that before he did the work then I talked to the service manager. She also advised me that I need to get my body work done first I once again ask her why didn’t you advise a suggested before y’all done work so finally the service advisor called me and made an appointment with Maggio GMC for me to take my car over there for them to look at it. I called to schedule appointment and the service manager said no they don’t go behind anybody work and they are not a Honda dealership.. so finally the service manager at Richards Honda called me and told me she could have someone come out there and look at it so a mechanic came out and looked at it and he said he couldn’t get on the ground. I just could pull that from under the bottom of the car. I told him thank you I’ll be calling the Dealership. I called the dealership for the general manager three different times and left messages with no avail. No one returned call. This is my work car and they really put me in a bind!! I don’t recommend service from Richards Honda Baton Rouge

I would rate my purchase A+. I purchased a pre owned vehicle from Richards Honda. Our salesman Alvin Washington was great he made us feel welcome and stress free. He was very knowledgeable about the whole process. Our finance person Jasmin Naylor was also great at explaining everything to us and making the financing process much less stressful than I thought it would be. I would definitely purchase from here again and recommend them to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle. Thanks to all who helped us with this vehicle purchase. Terry Chartier

If you need a new car go to Richard’s Honda off Millerville and ask for Ridge! He’s the best salesman and so helpful. He went above and beyond to find the exact car that I was looking for and in my price range. We had the best experience with him! Thank you for making this process so easy. There was never a feeling of pressure to purchase a car that day. Overall experience was wonderful, and I couldn’t recommend him enough. Even weeks after purchasing the vehicle, I have reached out to Ridge with questions about the car and I immediately get a phone call with him saying “what’s going on Jamee” It’s the little things that make me appreciate him that much more.

Checked in at 8:30 for a 9:00 appt. on 8/12/25, advised (service line tech) several hours to diagnose the AC with cooling issues (repaired on 4/25, $2924.27) will proceed with the oil change in the mean time. Provided with an update, 3 hours wait time (11:30). Updated at 12:30, two vehicles ahead of me, another 2 hour wait time (2:30). Between 2:30 - 2:45 car taken in for service. At 2:47 (from my phone log) called from Honda ((225) 928-6100), while in their lobby, car not able to be service today. I stated the car just taken into service, she indicated she had the wrong number or invoice (she did have the right number and invoice). At 3:00 advised not able to diagnose the AC, more time needed, leave the car (I live in Lafayette) or provide me with a vehicle (decline- 69 years old with a 2009 honda civic and would need a course in the latest technology to drive a newer model vehicle in the traffic and the possibility of rain). Service advisor, will proceed with oil change, stated should have already been completed, as noted at check in. If not, just return my vehicle and will get it service in the Lafayette area. With a lapse in time, indicated to the people in the lobby, they are currently doing the oil change in order to provide me with a bill. Concerning the multi-point service inspection, noted does not want inspection due to having to wait, this was never discussed with me. I didn't want to wait, how long to complete the inspection as my car sat at the dealership for seven hours. As discussed with Lane on 12/4/24 the cabin air filter and engine air filter could be replaced at the next service and this would have been reflected on the inspection, if performed.. Service advisor stated parts on AC are still under warranty. My concern is what about labor cost which I will probably have to absorb if service in the Lafayette area. When employees have to resort to making false statements, what does it say about the company and the working environment. The warm and fuzzy feeling is truly gone as is a valued customer (since 11/2016) and the possibility of a lost sale on a new vehicle. Told to remove me from there system. Sandra Matthews

I am very sorry to hear about your recent experience in our Service Department, Sandra! As a valued customer, please trust we take your feedback seriously and will work to make it right if we dropped the ball! I am going to have our Service Manager Donna Lane give you a call to discuss this matter further and offer her assistance if that is ok with you.

My appointment was for 9:00 am this morning for a recall, oil change and tire rotation. I was here early and after more than 1 hour and 45 min. I am still waiting. What's the purpose of an appointment?

I'm 100% satisfied with my purchase of 2013 corolla and customer service I received. Just wish I could have gotten the mirror repair and the windshield replacement same day.

I recently purchased a Honda CRV from Richards Honda, and I would like to share my experience, which unfortunately had some significant drawbacks. While the overall process went relatively smoothly, there were a few areas that left me dissatisfied and questioning the integrity of the dealership. I must acknowledge that they did have a good inventory of vehicles, unlike some other competing dealerships. Firstly, during the initial discussions, I was given an inaccurate estimate of the monthly loan payment. When I entered the finance office of the dealership, I was introduced to the very limited warranties they were offering and was suggested to purchase additional warranties such as oil change and tire rotation for four years, gap insurance, bumper-to-bumper coverage, etc., all for additional fees accumulated into my loan. It was disheartening to learn that the true payment amount was much higher than I had anticipated. I believe it would have been more transparent and fair if they had provided the exact payment information upfront, prior to me committing to anything or signing any binding documents. This lack of clarity made me question the reliability of their financial estimates. Secondly, one of the advertised incentives was only one year (maximum of two) of free oil changes. However, I was disappointed to discover that other brands, such as Toyota, offer up to two and a half years (maximum of five) of complimentary oil changes. Consequently, I was offered the option to add four years of oil change and tire rotation for an amount that was only slightly less than the out-of-pocket cost without any warranty. After discussing this with the financial agent and her supervisor, who realized the inconsistency, they confirmed that the complementary oil change was indeed offered for two years, making the additional highly suggested warranty unnecessary. Adding such unnecessary warranties to a 72-month loan seemed impractical. This situation further made me question the value I received with my purchase. Clear and consistent communication regarding incentives is crucial to ensuring customer satisfaction. Furthermore, approximately two weeks after taking possession of my new car, I received an alarming letter from my insurance company stating that my insurance policy had been rejected due to the car not being properly registered in the state. Concerned and confused, I immediately contacted Richards Honda to address this unexpected issue. Unfortunately, my initial call was met with a dismissive attitude from the dealership, as they disregarded the insurance company's notification, claiming it to be baseless. However, after conducting a thorough investigation, they eventually called me back to acknowledge their mistake. It turned out that due to the temporary registration status of my car and the fact that my insurance provider was All-State, this unusual situation had arisen. Furthermore, I would like to highlight a concerning issue that arose after we purchased the vehicle before we left the parking. One of the involved parties suggested that we provide a 5-star review, indicating that it would affect their end-of-year bonus, even if we were only satisfied with their performance and not with other aspects of the dealership. This request raises concerns about the evaluation of an employee's performance based solely on customer satisfaction with a particular department of the dealership. It is unfair to put customers in a position where they feel compelled to give a positive rating to the entire experience when they may be dissatisfied with specific processes while satisfied with other areas. While I understand that mistakes can happen, these issues collectively cast a negative light on my overall experience with Richards Honda. As a customer, I believe it is essential to receive transparent and reliable information throughout the car purchasing process. I hope that my feedback helps highlight areas where the dealership can improve
