My wife and I visited the dealership the morning of April
My wife and I visited the dealership the morning of April 29, 2025. She's interested in the BMW X5. As soon as we pulled into the lot, we noticed most of the cars were behind the fence. We immediately saw a salesman speaking with a couple. We spoke, he gave us a pleasant greeting and asked if we need help. We stated we were here just looking at the moment but wanted to know if we were allowed to go behind the fence line to look at the cars. He stated yes and to ask if we needed any assistance. He even told us where to look and what area to avoid because that area was for customer cars to be serviced. As soon as we stepped behind the fence to look at the cars an elderly female staff member came from the other building, with a nasty attitude rudely said yall aren't supposed to be back here and asked if we spoke to a sells person. We told her we did and he said we could be there. The issue is the way we were approached. No greeting, no can I help you, nothing. It was just rudeness from the start. Not saying that it was a racial thing, but that's the way it came across. Good customer service goes a long way. The whole encounter should have been handled differently. As to whether or not I would recommend the dealership? Yes, only because of the kindness and professionalism of the initial salesman we interacted with. However, the second person we encountered would really cause me to hesitate on that recommendation. Proper greetings, politeness, being courteous, treating others with respect, and knowing the situation instead of reacting blindly goes a long way to gain new customers.
