F-150 Recall Notice
The new Don Wood Ford facility is a modern dealership. The waiting room is very well appointed and comfortable which is important while waiting for your vehicle to be serviced. Don Wood Oil change and maintenance check
We rely on Don Wood for the maintenance of our Ford Explorer. They are well trained professionals and I always feel confident when I leave the dealership that my car has been thoroughly checked.

Excellent overall experience. Entire process was smooth and simple. Everyvody I spoke with from start to finish was polite and helpful. Service department had me back on the road quickly. I would not hesitate to have service performed here again, and when I'm ready to trade up I will be making a visit to Don Wood Athens.
Not Happy! 2020 Ford Explorer ST
The car salesman seems nice, a little pushy, but nice. We decided to purchase an Explorer ST which had to be jumped two times according to this salesman. I?m thinking more than that now. It took three times for the crew to clean this vehicle and still it was a sloppy wash job. Then on the way home, the vehicle filled with a horrible smell. We called the salesman and he said it would go away in 1000 miles. Ummmm NO! The next morning, Christmas Eve day, the car was dead! Not only did I have a horrible headache from battery acid fumes but this car salesman tried to tell me someone was left on. I was frustrated and furious!! This suv was junk! In his sales pitch, he claimed he would drive to our house if ever needed. Needless to say, he told me to have the vehicle jumped. We did then took it to town and had it put on a machine that said the battery was dead. Don Wood agreed to replace it. Remember, I?ve had this car less than 24 hrs. They wouldn?t come to us so my husband drove the car back to the dealership, actually became stranded 10 miles out. The mechanic brought the battery to him. The smell from the hot battery was sickening. Horrible! Christmas morning, I receive a text from my Ford app that my tires are low. All 4! We had to drive around to find an air station on Christmas. SO, FORD AND THEIR ASSOCIATES MIGHT HAVE HAD A GREAT CHRISTMAS, MINE WAS HORRIBLE! This suv wasn?t ready to leave the car lot. Nothing was checked on it. The antifreeze was low blah blah. They wanted a sale but was extremely neglectful. I own a brand new vehicle, 77 miles on the speedometer, with the first 30 hours being the worse experience ever! Not to mention being nauseous from fumes! Merry Christmas!

Service is not what it used to be
I took my vehicle to Don Wood in Athens. They had always taken care of me and my car. They always did great work, and had great prices, until now. I was charged for the inspection fee, only to find out the repairs they suggested weren't even needed. They wanted to charge me for a new transmission at almost 2,000 when it only needed a wheel bearing at 200.00. They never bothered to look for the problem.
