Just awful service, overseen by a Service Manager who

Just awful service, overseen by a Service Manager who could not care less that the service is terrible. Sad that I have to post 1 star because 0 is not an option. Had an issue with AC Service, made an appointment to have the car seen and showed up early for the appointment. Was told upon arrival that the issue could not be diagnosed for 3-4 days. Asked what the point of the appointment was, and was told that it's just to "see the advisor so the advisor can then tell me when they can diagnose the problem". Told them I thought that was an awful way of doing business, Kolby, the service advisor, informed me that "400 cars in front of you don't seem to care". Asked to speak with the Service Manager, and told them they'd lost me as a customer, Brian, the Service Manager, responded that he didn't really care and then condescendingly told me to "have a blessed holiday" as he smirked at me and walked off. Went to the front desk to speak with the General Manager, and they couldn't even tell me when they would be arriving. Seems obvious there's no one overseeing anyone at the dealership, and their service is reflective of that. Take your car anywhere else, lots of places that value customer service, Dodge City McKinney is not one of them.

Big talkers, but do NOT trust

Terrible experience. Bought pre-owned 2020 F-150. Had an agreement to fix damaged tire with a matching tire, was told there was a second key, and had written agreement with salesman to fix tail light that did not work. They tried to offer a tire that did not match, wanting me to have a set of mis-matched tires on a $50k truck, later said the 2nd key did not exist, and did not fix the tail light. There was also a whistle at low speeds that the salesman assured me was just the cold air intake and that it was a normal sound, but have since found it is more involved than that and the sound has gotten more persistent. They did offer a settlement, but it ultimately will cover less than half what was agreed to. Will NEVER do business with them again or recommend. UPDATE...I emailed Russell as he requested when commenting to my google review on 10/22 and have yet to receive any type of reply.

Mr. Kennington, I was informed the issue with your vehicle had been resolved when you signed the Release and Hold Harmless Agreement and accepted the $1000 check that was setup originally. I did not realize you would not honor your part of the agreement. Thank you, Russell Hardin rhardin@dodgecityofmckinney.com

Car buyer

After 20 hours of drive time to pickup up the vehicle we had agreed and got approval from bank turns out we wasted our time/money. We showed up to the dealership, started the paperwork and when we got to the warranty/gap we told the finance guy all we wanted was the gap ins and he gave us the new amount with different loan terms which I know is because he was including the warranty we didn't want. I told him if we couldn't get the vehicle with the amount/terms we agreed on before making the trip then we weren't going to make the purchase and he flat out said then there was no deal. The worst experience ever buying a vehicle. They basically wanted to rip us off with purchasing the warranty I clearly that's what they're used to doing.

The day we left a note!!

We came out to the dealership on Sunday. Saw the truck we had seen on CarGuru. We knew we wanted it and so we wrote a sold sign and put on it and left a note that we would be there when they opened on Monday. We were, we did buy it and had a great experience! Very simple very easy!! Mark Whalburg was great!

What a waste of time and energy!

A waste of two years and $100k!! Bought a 2018 Grand Cherokee cash and financed my Ram 2500 Limited the same day, that was the end of anyone going out of their way to help us. I’ve had my truck in for service over ten times for the Ram Boxes coming apart. The Ram Boxes are coming apart again since March. Service and sales will not return messages. I’ve opened a Care Case with FCA about the Ram Boxes and Dodge City. I regret leaving great reviews in the past and trying to be understanding with this dealership. Looking at my truck falling apart after spending our hard earned money with these people! I spent countless hours off work and personal life at this dealership for “drive by so we can look at it and order parts” only to drop my truck off when the parts are “here” and it sit there for months at a time. I’ve asked for help from FCA and Dodge City on multiple occasions to help me get into a Ram without Ram Boxes and I’ve received nothing but the run around. To top all of this off my wife brought the 2018 Grand Cherokee in for a oil change with balance and rotate last week. She calls me while driving home scared out of her mind cause the car is vibrating badly as she is driving on the highway. Now after spending all this money I guess I’ll be left to work on her car again to fix it. Because we live local we both believe in supporting local business especially these days, but after two years of fighting with the multiple service writers, the GM the service director, the sales department, and your technicians who obviously flat rate my truck to death I’m over it all. My steering column still makes a snapping noise, my truck still shakes violently when I hit a bump in the road, the headliner is still coming apart, the ram boxes are coming apart again, I have to replace tires every 15k miles which is unheard of for a straight axle truck, it still doesn’t drive straight, the remote start still doesn’t work from one key,. I should have known how bad this dealership was when I bought the truck and got charged for wheel locks that weren’t even on the truck and when I questioned the service writer he told me they don’t make wheel locks for 2500. Then the next service writer magically found them weeks later and they put them on while it was in for service to fix the back sliding glass that never worked from day 1. Almost forgot about that time.... when I Sat there for half a Saturday while they looked at it with no RO to see what parts needed to be ordered and when I finally get it back there are grease finger prints all over my headliner. Pissed but willing to wait till I bring it back I head back to work and while on the freeway changing lanes the over head control panel falls out of the headliner and almost made me crash!! No one deserves to be blown off like this! The only way to get through to anyone at this dealership is to show up and be in their face which I’ve done many times and what you get is people pointing the finger at other people. The finance department was quick to sell us every warranty available. And we bought them for both vehicles with much disappointment. They do not use factory glass when they replace your windshield. Safe lite cut my wife’s headliner and we had to fight Dodge City to help us get it replaced. Because they didn’t do it they wouldn’t even take in her Jeep and take care of holding safelite responsible. She had a screw in the outer tread of one of her tires, tire warranty paid for.. they plugged the tire. The extended warranty they sold us will not cover the Ram Boxes that are continuously falling apart. The only person at that dealer that has stood by their word has been Anthony Addy in sales! Great man and was a pleasure to deal with. He made my wife and I feel like family. Since then I’ve bought 4 more cars and I have two boys soon to need cars.

Taking advantage of a disabled combat veteran

If you want to pay sticker on a vehicle go to this dealership. They're unwilling to help a disabled combat veteran on a great price and they're wanting me to pay high-end price per truecar.com. I'm needing a handicap accessible wheelchair hitch lift and they also wanted me to pay full price on that also. Great deals would not be at this dealership. I will also say they're not pro-military.

Dealership did not back up what they said.

I could have purchased a car anywhere within a 6 hour radius from me but I chose this dealership because they had the car I wanted. Up to the sale of the car it was a pleasant experience. I made a deal over the phone with outside financing and arranged to drive the 6 hours to pick up my new car. When I pulled into a parking space upon arrival I noticed my new car had a door ding on the passenger side door. I was told in writing that I could get the ding repaired closer to my home since I was so far from them. All I needed to do was send them estimates of what the cost would be and they would take car of it. After sending them two estimates I was turned down to get my car repaired. I was told that I would need to bring the car to them and their experts. After an agreement of giving me a loaner car to drive and fuel expenses to and from the dealership I brought the car to them. Mind you, it's a 6 hour drive there and another 6 hour drive home. They had the car several days and finally when I had a chance to make the trip I went to pick it back up. Upon arrival I inspected the work that was done. They removed the ding in the door but in the process made the paint crack around it. They wanted me to accept the repair and I refused. I talked to the manager and was told I would have to leave the car with them again. Not being able to make that long drive again I refused to leave it. But who would want them to attempt to repair it again after the first time? The manager basically told me that in today's world the car would have dings after a few weeks anyway and didn't know what the big deal was. After much disappointment I accepted a $200 check to cover damages. It was far less than the two estimates I had originally gotten. To top off this experience I did NOT receive any fuel for my trip! If this is how they treat you after the sale then I would stay away from them and do business elsewhere!
