The dealership won’t conduct business with out of town

The dealership won’t conduct business with out of town banks and didn’t mention anything….until my bank sent the drafting instructions for receiving funds. My loan officer contacted the dealership and was transparent from the beginning on drafting process. The dealership agreed and accepted, until they found out I was driving over 500 miles from out of town. The dealership quickly changed their mind and requested a cashier check or no deal. It came down to the dealership wanting me to finance through them or use someone they recommended. My guess is they get a kick-back in return (finders fee) if I chose to finance. So my wife and I decided to conduct our business with a different dealership. Toyota of Richardson should state on their website they don’t accept out of town banks. I’m sure that would save time for other customers who experienced what I did.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go through such a horrible experience. The continued interruptions from the dealership sales person, elevated demeanor tone of voice, and exhibiting violent characteristics by talking over the customer.

I took my 2018 Toyota Tundra in to be serviced at Toyota

I took my 2018 Toyota Tundra in to be serviced at Toyota of Richardson. Check engine light on, engine making noise on acceleration and o2 sensor needs to be replaced. After paying the $359.88 in labor for the o2 sensor to be installed ($177.44 for part) and getting clear code and "car drives smoothly" on report back from the service department, I continue to hear the engine noise upon acceleration. Take it in to a local shop, same description, engine noise upon acceleration and just had the o2 sensor replaced, within 15 minutes technician shows me where the passenger side exhaust has a cut in it where someone was trying to steal the catalytic converter. Wow. The shop welded the exhaust back for free and charged me $60 to diagnose the issue. And to think I went to Toyota thinking they would know best. Complete disappointment in Toyota of Richardson.

deceptive and unlawful practices used

My daughter purchased a car today and after looking at the paperwork when we got home that finance never went over with us. I see she was charged 29,969.00 for the car before any other charges however we were advised and the car is listed at 25,827.00. On top of that my daughter declined the extended warranty and only agreed to gap insurance with the salesman Ryan Boyd last night and was advised with taxes and fees it would be less than 28,000. The next day today I came to cosign because she was advised she would not qualify for the loan. Kurt with finance only went over the payment amount not what she was being charged or any of the documents nor did he allow us to read what was being signed from what we were provided there were no totals of what she paid which included warranties of MPP- 3510.00 Zaktek- 1264.00 and club plus- 1535.00 an additional 6309.00 plus the mark up on the purchase price of 4,142.00 she was deceived into paying an additional 10,451.00 for this car. When we get home and finally have a chance to review the documents we see that she was charged a total of 37,438.79. This is pure fraud with in your finance department. You have signs that all dealings are recorded. I hope this is reviewed and if this is not corrected by the dealership I will be contacting the OCCC to file a complaint as well as an attorney, this is unfair business practices.

When I first messaged Jon, I sent him 2 options of what I wanted and I told him not to call me until he had the exact car in stock. A week later, he called me and I came in. The sun was unbearable and it was hot but his customer service and knowledge was impressive and made it bearable. I walked out of there in my new Rav4 in less than 4 hours. Easy and efficient, I’d definitely come back. Cuando le envié un mensaje a Jon por primera vez, le envié 2 opciones de lo que quería y le dije que no me llamara hasta que tuviera el auto exacto en la agencia. Una semana después, me llamó y entré. El sol era insoportable y hacía mucho calor, pero su servicio al cliente y su conocimiento fueron impresionantes y lo hicieron soportable. Salí de allí en mi nuevo Rav4 en menos de 4 horas. Fácil y eficiente, definitivamente regresaría.

If you’re considering a Toyota, pick a different dealership. Overheard male employees making inappropriate comments about their female coworkers. No one seemed very trustworthy or willing to work with us. Go somewhere else.

bought a car on May 21, a Toyota CHR, I did not like the customer service, the employee looked tired and did not want to attend. They charged me almost 5000 dollars of administrative expenses when I asked him, he said it was to guarantee that the car would be good and complete. When they delivered it to me it had a low tire, I did not find the manual, they only gave me a key, you do not have mats.
