Very dishonest.

Very dishonest. Do not care about losing their customers. Sneaky tactics. I went in for an oil change and also had an issue with my Mazda CX5 where the display screen kept randomly changing to different stations and screens, all on its own. The assistant manager Mr. Ortiz tells me this is a normal thing with these vehicles. Says that when it gets hot outside, it causes the outer screen to make contact with the inner screen causing it to change screens. I found that very hard to believe because I put my a/c on 65 and even at night with the a/c on it was happening. He went on to say they have a kit that is like a compound that they place between the two screens so they don’t make any contact. He tells me not to worry he can get it covered and gave me a smile and a thumbs up. After a couple of hours I get called up to sign paperwork and there’s no mention of them doing anything about the screen. I wk over to Mr. Ortiz and he tells me to call him the next day. I called and he said I will need to pay $70. So he didn’t get it covered. Later I get an email for a survey asking how my service visit went so I explained in the review. Me. Ortiz calls me after seeing the review and questions me on why I posted my review so I told him I posted what happened. He said to me that when people post negative reviews we have a meeting and decide if the customer is worth keeping and doing the repair or losing the customer and said he is not going to cover it. As it turns out, after reading a public forum online with people that own Mazda CX5’s said they had the same issue and it was a programming issue and was fixed. I then called a different dealership and told them the issue I was experiencing and the rep told me it is a programming issue. Avoid being scammed by this service department at this location. Go to a different one as they are independently owned. I suggest the one in Coconut Creek or one closer to you. When a manager basically tells you outright that they prefer losing you as a customer rather than assist you, all because you voiced your opinion in their in survey…..You should realize at that point that they are shady and practice unethical practices. I also brought it up to the service manager Mike Yonak and he pretty much echoed the same thing his assistant did.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP! I was a customer of this dealership for almost five years, leasing three different Mazdas from them and always getting maintenance done at this location. Not anymore! Short story: I brought my brand new 2024 Mazda CX-90 PHEV to Gunther Mazda in Fort Lauderdale for a SERIOUS safety recalls (out of many) which they did complete. However, since then, I’ve experienced additional issues — both related and unrelated to the recall. Despite having a case number with Mazda corporate costumer care and explaining my concerns clearly, the service team at Gunther Mazda consistently dismissed them, insisting the car was perfectly fine and sending me away without resolving anything. Even though the recall was fixed, the problems with my vehicle have worsened since the service visit, and I had to spend another two days at the dealership with no solution. This car isn’t safe to drive! Instead of addressing these ongoing safety concerns and new issues, they’ve ignored me, showing a lack of professionalism and commitment to customer care. How can one trust a company that doesn’t even handle the paperwork correctly? The car is 24’ CX-90 PHEV but the paperwork states that my car model is a Mazda RX-3 (see attached photos). This model was produced from 1971 to 1978! I asked them to fix it, but they claimed it’s auto-populated in their system and that they can’t do anything about it. If you’re looking for a service center that takes your concerns seriously and provides thorough, reliable service, Gunther Mazda is not the place! A waste of time and money! Look elsewhere!

WARNING: Mazda has no authority over it's dealers.

WARNING: Mazda has no authority over it's dealers. These dealerships have 1000s of good reviews on Google from new customers and spammy sales tactics, but take it from someone who's actually owned one for years. $3,000 in repairs in 3 years on a new car. Nothing covered under warranty because it's a terrible car and so are the dealers. DON'T BUY ONE! They have less automotive market share for a reason. This year was the most insane, a $2000 fix, someone noticed a bolt head broke off for the steering component on the bottom. "Wheel could have come off at any moment" killing me at highway speeds. The dealer says "rust" only so they don't have to cover it under warranty just like every other issue I've had. Well, how about the bolt broke off then rusted since there is no rust coating under the bolt head? I heard an odd noise for a long time. Of course the Mazda dealer won't side with you, because Mazda itself has no authority over their own horrible warranties and you are nothing to them after you buy it. The guy had all sorts to say just so evidently and obviously to screw me over, insulting me rather than just telling the truth. He actually said "it happened when you drove it down to Florida" wow! Really? I didn't know your cars weren't supposed to driven? What about the rust story? Or, "you can go complain to the dealer you bought it at." Who I called states away, and said it "would have been covered!" Imagine buying an iPhone in Wisconsin and the Florida store tells you go back to Wisconsin to have the warranty covered. Egregious treatment. Ok, Mazda's side? A fatally important bolt rusts within 3 years on a warranty new, visibly well taken care of, 100% garaged car. Sounds like an excellent car! Mazda's were known for their rust issues. They can make up whatever fairytale, but at the end of the day not covering something this insane shows they have NO confidence in what they sell. After driving a Mazda for years, I noticed how much smoother my rental rode while they fixed this (which Useless Mazda Customer Experience wouldn't even reimburse fully, and practically needed my mother's social security number to offer anything FYI). No banging on road perfections. It's no wonder my Mazda breaks all the time.

I had the pleasure of working with Oliver Andrew when selecting my new leased car. He was professional, personable, and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to make the experience as stress free as possible. Once at the Mazda dealership I realized that the car I was interested in was out of my price range. Oliver then guided me through the process of leasing a Kia from their dealership next door. I would highly recommend him and the dealership to anyone purchasing or leasing a new car.

Gunther Motors

Gunther Mazda Fort Lauderdale, FL To Bobby Fanucci and Miriam Florio at Gunther Mazda. You set the bar across the board for a perfect customer experience. From the moment I reached out with a brief inquiry, Bobby was responsive, extremely knowledgeable, not only about the vehicle itself, but in walking me through the entire process It could not have been more seamless and made the process very pleasant. Their attention to detail and my satisfaction was unparalleled- going above and beyond in every aspect! Thank you “again.” This is why I always return to Gunther Motors Mazda.

This is my second visit with Gunther Mazda, and last time

This is my second visit with Gunther Mazda, and last time was a great experience. But this time I was working with a new (inexperienced?) service advisor. He recommended doing a maintenance on the throttle body, without even verifying if the engine is showing signs of carbon buildup on a 2021 vehicle that only had 15,000 miles and it wasn't showing any signs of issues. Mazda recommends this to be done every 75 to 90,000 miles! Yes, I agreed to have it done but that was conditional on it needing to be done. The service advisor didn't keep me updated on the progress of the vehicle, I had to ask him the status a number of times. There wasn't any video verification or any sort of communication to me that the work actually needed to be done. Obviously I'm not a happy camper for being sold something in my vehicle doesn't need. Gunther Mazda, if you actually read these... please have your customer retention manager or General Manager reach out.
