On Sept 9, we stopped at this dealer to check on a used

On Sept 9, we stopped at this dealer to check on a used dodge cargo van. We met Josh Gregoire who showed us the van. We discussed pricing and told him what would be paying since we did not require financing. To our surprise he rudely responded by saying if we want to pay $26K for the vehicle we should look for a car in that price range. Basically saying in a condescending way don’t waste my time. The Vehicle was listed at over $30K. Based on Kelly Book and Edmunds a fair price should be $25K for this vehicle. We thought offering $26K was very fair. Instead this pompous idiot response, would beg the question as to why anyone would want to shop at this dealer. This is an experience I would not repeat.

BEWARE!

BEWARE!!! I’ve always heard of repair shops like this however I’ve never experienced one. That is until now. I brought my 2016 Ram in for recall work(removal of the factory installed emission defeat device) and to have it taken out of limp mode. The truck was dropped off on the 31st. On the 5th “Nick” calls me and states one of my NOx sensors is bad. That they will need to do an extensive diagnostics for each sensor because, apparently, their scan tool does not tell you which sensor is bad. Just that one of them is. So I asked “what happens if it’s the first sensor you find?” To which he replied “this is just what we charge”. He also tells me my truck will need 144 dollars worth of Diesel Exhaust Fluid. Their own parts department sells this for 40 dollars for 2.5 gallons. So I go down and fill it myself for 25 bucks. Now part of this defeat device recall comes with a 10 year 120,000 year extended warranty. Covering all things emissions and emissions controls. For example, NOx sensors. When I mention this they put me on hold for 30 minutes only to tell me that my claim was initially rejected but they were able to get a partial approval for 1,100. Leaving me a balance of 860. I say “ok let me call FCA customer service and talk to them. The service manager responds with “ok but if you don’t pick your truck up today we will charge you 50 dollars a day storage starting from when we completed the repairs on the 1st. That’s right, the 1st. My first call from when the job was completed was the 14th. This has been the most blatant display of predatory dealership practices I have ever seen and I will be posting this review every possible place I can. Shame on you Roberts Dodge. Shame

There service department sucks.

There service department sucks. If there's no check engine light or there no code to them there's nothing wrong... they won't fix anything covered under warranty. As they'll just say nothing is wrong. They will just clear your code and check engine light. The girl answering the phone should not be working customer service. Swearing at customers over the phone. She's very rude and disrespectful.. ibwill never recommend this place for service. And I will never bring my car back to them.. they said nothing wrong with my car. After having it be there for over 5 days.. brought it somewhere else and they called me withing 45 min telling me what's wrong and how to fix. They fixed it by end of day. So don't know who Robert's got working in their service depth. But their stupid. And don't know what they doing. Only work off codes and check engine light.. screw this place .that's why your business sucks

Excellent Service

I bought a brand new Ram 1500 Warlock from a different dealership 3 weeks ago and the check engine light came on. After being shooed away and essentially given a “not our problem” response, Robert’s welcomed me with open arms. I cannot remember her name, but the service woman was fantastic. She told me they could do a quick diagnostic test even though they didn’t have any service openings. The problem was identified as a simple EVAP leak and She told me that it was a quick 15 minute fix and they’ll take care of it. This is ALL I wanted from my other dealership. Robert’s just gained a new customer in the future for this superb service.

They never should have changed the staff in the service...

They never should have changed the staff in the service department. Complained that there is something wrong with exhaust/emissions last 3 or 4 times I was there. Engine light comes on for the second time in as many months. An emission problem they said. I also needed my emissions test done at the same time. They did the test BEFORE checking why the engine light was on and my car failed the test. There were other problems that I'm sure were there on my previous visits that all of a sudden they found. I took my car to another mechanic and he found more issues than Robert's had told me. This mechanic told me also that I yes indeed do have an exhaust issue even though Robert's service manager told me he checked himself and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. Evidently unless your check engine light comes on and a code comes up on the diagnostic to tell them what to do they can't do a thorough inspection on their own. Take it to a self owned mechanic and he thoroughly checks the car and finds the issues by actually looking for them. The price of fixing all of the actual issues is so high that I will be looking for a new vehicle when I least need to be. I have been a faithful customer for over 12 years but with such disrespect for me and my vehicle I will be looking elsewhere for my new vehicle. Loyalty obviously means nothing here.

Service

They took my $20 emissions testing fee but did not honor there half of the deal. My car did not pass emissions, I got it fixed, they sent me to firestone down the street, and they made me pay again.

Best Dodge Dealer in CT

Came in to Robert’s Chrysler Dodge, after the fiasco of another local dodge dealer. Met with Josh, who made the selection process very easy, and understood my issue with finishing off my old lease, and the issue with the other dealer. When the time came to buy, it was one of the easiest processes I ever had. Josh went out of his way to find all the incentives, and give me the best deal, and finance. I have my new dream car, I am overly ecstatic by the experience. I will never go anywhere else, than Robert’s Chrysler Dodge! They make you feel like family.
