Recently traded in my 2015 Nissan Rogue. I was looking for a newer used SUV that would help get me closer to what I wanted since I was in the 2015 upside... down due to a divorce and the need to trade in the previous 2 vehicles that were both in my name. Long story short, I was told putting me in a new car would be the only way to get me in another car and within the payment option I could potentially afford. The sales people at Downtown Nashville Nissan are VERY nice when you are in the process of purchasing but it ends there. There is not enough room or time to adequately express my experience after the sale. I will say this, please record all conversations. Clarify everything over and over, when you are told they will provide something for you at no cost be sure you get it at no cost. Take note that once you sign the papers it's a done deal and if you have those warning bells going off take note. I am very unhappy with my 2020 Rogue. I have to drive at night and this vehicle is unsafe. The headlights are the old halogen. You would think in 2020 Nissan would provide the driver with safe, bright LED lights. Nope, and they require you purchase an afterstock system to convert to proper lighting. Thousands of dollars! The only response you get is , "I'm sorry". Yes you are sorry. I am sorry too, sorry I purchased a vehicle from you. Sorry I let myself be taken advantage of by sly talk and flattery. I guess saying that " as long as you can sleep at night" really doesn't apply to today's society, specifically salesmen as I know you do not care one less. If not for me, think of your parent, sibling, or child driving at night and be sure and get them in a vehicle that is as "safe" as it CLAIMS to be.

I was shopping for a '16 Leaf. They advertised an SL for ~$14,900, but when I got in their actual base price had a "CPO fee" of $1600 and a "refurb fee"... of $700, so their actual "starting point" for negotiations was $2300 more than advertised. The seller pulled all the slimy used car salesman tricks- "this offer is only good for tonight (it was ~9PM), what can I do to earn your business right now", held onto my keys while they evaluated my trade to keep me from walking out. Tons of high pressure tricks. Virtually everything he said to me was technically true but crafted to mislead- the CPO warranty on a Leaf isn't worth the paper it's printed on (it may be better for a gas car), but he kept trying to make it sound super great, and didn't mention the original, still-applicable OEM warranty still applied. Eventually he "haggled" down about $2500, after an HOUR, to get to the price listed on the website- what I thought would be the STARTING point of negotiations. He assured me this was their best offer... until I was on the way home and he texted offering another $500 off. At this point I've completely lost trust in them and wouldn't consider even looking at their website. I worked with Jonathan Strickland with a quick visit from an angry Ray Pritchard. Steer clear of these guys.

Our Altima we had in for a transmission replacement was the 4th new Nissan we have bought, the 2nd one bought from Downtown Nashville Nissan. When you... have to replace your transmission at 65000 miles and at a cost of $4300 because your dealer failed to disclose a longterm chronic problem with the Nissan CVT, it tends to put a bitter taste in your mouth that no amount of customer service can remove. I doubt very much that Nissan can do anything to earn my trust of the brand again and will probably take my business elsewhere. Doug and Joan Bowes

After being rear-ended and totaling our 14 year old car we were forced to go car shopping. We visited a few other dealerships but none were as accommodating... and relaxed as Downtown Nashville Nissan. Our salesman, Wes, understood our desires and concerns and was totally chill throughout the process. We actually enjoyed the experience and would certainly recommend him and this dealership to anyone in the market.

Horrible customer service!! I made an appointment for the over Kelly Blue Book but back program for today at 5:15. We get there 20 minutes early and ask... for Billy per our instructions. A guy named Elvis came out and said Billy wasn't there. He asked what car we had to sell and what car we were interested in. Once we told him he goes to talk to a manager, and comes back and says no managers are available that we need to make an appointment for tomorrow between 9-5! How is it that we make an appointment on the dealerships schedule for 5:15 today and they refuse to help us when we arrive. I'll not be buying anything from this dealership, and will be telling my friends, family members and coworkers to not do business this dealership. Horrible customer service!

Spencer Dixon in service dept has NO ppl skills. this has happened on more than 3 times bringing my car for service. Upon first encounter he is very obnoxious,... rude and condescending. At 740am I stead of saying "good morning" or greeting me, the customer, his first words are this wait is 31/2 hours are you going to wait that long? Plus you need tires ASAP! His approach is very condescending and nasty. I am told he is the top sales service man at this location and in the nation but top sales should NEVER trump simple home training of knowing how to talk to ppl and knowing how to provide the basics in customer service. Thankful for Mgr Rick Danton who has saved the day and my return each month to this dealership.

This is the world worst place to even consider buying a car at ! I was in there on 1-25-19 just to see how much my current car would go for( they low balled... it an told me $700.00 ) ( it’s a 2009) and I was offered 2,000 at anythrte dealer ship . Once I told them tht they said okay we will do 2,000 any ways went in with a open mind about possibly getting a new car, an I left knowing about John perry SEX LIFE !!! maybe it’s just me but I did not find it professional at all at a big dealer ship like Nissan. If it would have not been for the other gentleman working with him ( Jeff) I would have definitely not even have this place one star but Jeff was very kinda . Also I was assured several times that if I let them LOOK at my credit they would not pull from it but it would say that they looked at it . A week later I get a email that I had a hard pill on my credit from down town Nissan Nashville.
