Just like everything else with this dealership, I had to jump through so many hoops just to be able to write this review. I can only assume they don’t expect positive reviews, so they make the barrier for entry almost impossible. I purchased a car from Mark Kia and, unfortunately, it broke down just five days after I drove it off the lot. That’s frustrating enough, but the way the dealership handled (or rather, mishandled) the situation has been the real disappointment. After the car was towed back to the dealership, communication from Mark Kia was nonexistent. I had to beg just to get a loaner vehicle while they waited weeks to even diagnose the issue. Any updates I received were only because I called them — and every time I did, I was told “I’ll look into it and call you back” … but the promised call rarely, if ever, came. I was eventually directed to the manager, Lucas, after struggling to get answers from anyone else. His online bio proudly says he’s passionate about helping others, making people smile, and leaving situations better than he found them — yet my experience with him was the complete opposite. He promised he’d get to the bottom of the issue and guaranteed a call back by the end of the day. Instead, it took a full week. I was consistently treated like I was an inconvenience and that the car’s issues were somehow my problem to solve. When I asked about options, Lucas immediately shifted into salesman mode, trying to get me into a brand-new car with “the same payment” — no, thanks. Once they determined the battery needed replacing, they pushed the problem over to Chapman Hyundai, and within minutes I was suddenly being harassed to return the loaner car. After ignoring me for three weeks, Lucas was now calling and texting, demanding the car back the same day — before I’d even been briefed by Hyundai on the next steps. I asked Lucas about the other issues we’d discussed with the vehicle, and after three emails, a text, and multiple voicemails, I still haven’t received a response. I would never work with this dealership again. On top of that, I’m now locked into a service contract that requires me to have certain services done at this exact dealership. I’m dreading it so much that I’m currently trying to cancel the contract altogether, but I haven’t been able to get a response about that either. On a positive note: Chapman Hyundai, where the car was ultimately sent, has been an absolute pleasure to work with. Amanda in their service department was kind, responsive, and within minutes of our first conversation, sent me a link to a portal showing the real-time status of my car — something Mark Kia never offered. Every interaction I’ve had at Chapman has been professional, efficient, and helpful. If you’re shopping for a car, I strongly recommend walking past Mark Kia and heading straight across the street to Chapman Hyundai. They’ve shown me what real customer service looks like.

On Sept.

On Sept. 5th I stopped at Mark Kia to check out the new K4 which had just come in the previous day. DeMarko showed me the new K4 that was on the showroom floor. I was blown away. The car was an EX trim color of morning haze. The exact car I had been looking at. Wasn't planning on buying that day, but I am compulsive. Anyway DeMarko was great throughout the entire sales process. Professional, polite, enformative & overall very helpful. No pressure or misinformation. Darren was also great. Actually all the associates I dealt with at the dealership were exceptional. Thanks DeMarko & I highly recommend Mark Kia.

THE SAME DAY I contacted Nate Mckamie to look into

THE SAME DAY I contacted Nate Mckamie to look into trading in my car is the same day I drove away with a brand new 2024 Kia Forte! He is the man! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience from start to finish. Highly Recommend him. Nate was great to work with and really went above and beyond to secure my desired car and ensure top quality. He also kept me well informed along the way about timing and next steps. It was a pleasure working with him and his team. 5 out of 5 the best experience buying a vehicle than I’ve ever experienced.

Having read some reviews, I DO NOT agree with those “lazy” opinions as they do not reflect any moment of my process. I bought through Auto Trader, trusting the posting, the Car Fax, the pictures, & most importantly the people who served me! Lindsey Perry responded as soon as I hit send on my inquiry. Follow up was amazing. Brad White supported her to get to most incredible Finance Manager I have ever worked with Juan Rodriguez! He texted me on process, worked out minor details. His amazing service after the sale is just phenomenal. Johnny Borboa sales manager was incredibly helpful after delivery for the final details in transition.
