Unfortunate experience and needlessly unpleasant..
January 31 - extensive service to my Sorento, including Transmission Fluid Exchange. Over following two weeks unusual noise coming from transmission. February 17 - tailgate latch failure, arranged replacement and had service rep test drive. said noise was normal. March 1 - noise continued so arranged service appointment to have checked again. service rep was very rude. I terminated the discussion and turned to leave. he said "have a good day'..! March 10 - noise getting worse. arranged to take my vehicle to Ken Garff Kia. they did a test drive, immediately identified the noise as transmission related and, upon investigation, found the transmission fluid level dangerously low. Added 2.5 quarts to top it up. I had them check for leaks, just to cover all the bases and they found none.

An honest review
I bought a 2016 Hyundai Tuscan from Mark Kia today and I'm I do like the car (or at least I will when I get it!). I can't say enough about my Salesman, Nathan Jarvis. He was extremely accommodating through the process. Manny in Finance was also pleasant and helpful. They are the reason for 2 stars rather than 1. My complaints: What started as a purchase price of $15,671 ended up costing me $21,020. Now that did include license and title fees and an extremely expensive extended warranty as well as $668! for document fees. I will get only one key with no remote fob. In order to get a second key, I would have had to pay $699. I had to pay the entire amount even though the inspetion will take upward of a week (I'm sure hoping they do a thorough job and take care of any problems. I gave them a $19,000 cashier's check and hoped to give them a personal check for the balance to hold until possession...But that's only possible on new cars, not for us second class used car buyers. So I had to charge the balance and the charge service fee was $70. Never heard of such a thing. They don't do the inspection until after the car is sold, hence the wait for possession and title while they have all my money.

Ask for an estimate on a 2015 Kia for front doors wouldn’t open from putt and windows weren’t working from the driver seat., they told $300 per door and about 350 for the windows. With $180 diagnostic charge that would get back with work being done by them . They flat out lied about everything ! After dropping the car off for repairs they sent a texted stating prices of more than double plus shop charges and other items! I had them repair the driver door only and they added the $180 on top of the other ! Totally a ripoff from the start !

Dealer valued my trade based on photos and vin check.
Dealer valued my trade based on photos and vin check. I drove across town to see the vehicle. The vehicle has significant rust. I chose a second vehicle and my trade was soon devalued by 8500. Explanations given for the devaluation were obscure and a surprise to friends in the industry. After I posted a google review, I was offered a tank of gas to remove it. Unethical.

Great buying experience.
We were looking to purchase a first car for our Son. I looked at 100's of cars before finding a couple preowned gems offered by Mark Kia. A quick call to the dealership got me in touch with Kayla Van Hise. That turned out to be very fortunate for us. I explained my interest in one car over the phone with her the evening before. I added two more picks to the list via text messages with Kayla on the way to the dealership the next morning. Turned out that the first car I arranged to see was still having service work done and was not available for a test drive yet. Not to worry. Kayla saw to it that the other cars I was interested in were clean and ready before we arrived. I can't say enough about what a pleasure it was working with Kayla. One of the cars needed to be moved over from the Mark Mazda dealership up the street in order for us to be able see and drive it on a Sunday. Kayla kept up with my texts and really went out the way to retrieve that car in time for our appointment. I noticed the effort it took and really appreciate her going the extra mile in a short time frame. It turned out to be the car our son gravitated to and the one I felt good about purchasing. It is the perfect car for our needs and we would not have had a chance to see it that morning without Kayla's diligence. She took time to understand and identify with our Son's big day. Our purchase experience with Kayla is what customer service is supposed to be like. She was cheerful and upbeat without fail. She worked to remove options I did not want without any pressure. I want to also mention Manny who helped us finalize the deal with ease. Thanks again Mark Kia, Kayla and Manny for a great preowned Mazda 3 and a great buying experience.

Derrick Gradijan is an atrocious sales manager
I had the worse sales experience today. On a $14,950 vehicle the sales manager came back with payment options of $415 for 72 months with $2k down, this number equates to $29,000+ on a $14,900 vehicle. That's ridiculous! A $15k markup? When I asked the sales manager to provide the actual numbers in printout form he refused to give me the information. I can understand a little mark-up.. but this was ridiculous. I feel bad for all the young people in the store buying a car and getting taken by the dealership. Buyer beware!
