OCEAN HONDA CUSTOMERS BEWARE I'am leaving one star just

OCEAN HONDA CUSTOMERS BEWARE I'am leaving one star just to let you all know what kind of a dealership you are dealing with. I took my Odyssey in for service, they said it it was due for a multi point inspection. In May 2022 my car is 2014 with 24,591 miles. this supposed work order turned out to be $656.13. This Oct. 2022 for my registration I had to have a smog check. The smog guy looked into the engine and said your car need wiper fluid, oil, coolant and hoses. Mileage at this time was 26,119 miles. He recommended a very reputable independent mechanic, after I told him of all the work that Ocean Honda supposedly did. I went to this mechanic in La Habra, fantastic, he walked me through the entire car, hardly any oil, hardly any coolant, broken hose to windshield wiper tank, no fluid in washer tank. in cabin air filter solid black, probably the original from when we bought the car. As we had always taken the car to Honda for all its services. The engine motor filter also black like goo all over it with tons of bugs and just grunge, probably the original on that filter as well. This mechanic even too pictures. I went to Honda to see the manager as he was going to be there. Oh shock, he left for out of town. Some woman Crystal said we had to deal with her. She stated they didn't do any of that, even though it is on our receipt. Would not look at paper work or parts. Turned her back on us and told us to leave, very rude. Totally blew us off, said I'am not going to continue to deal with you. Crystal also said they were not responsible or would not return any money. Looks like they take your money and don't do the work, with these newer type cars, being covered in plastic we have no idea if they did the work or not. Let this a warning to everyone who goes to this dealership, the manager was hiding in his office as she said, and they don't do the work they charge you for TOTAL SCAM DON'T TAKE A CHANCE

Don’t purchase or lease from this dealer… lease two cars

Don’t purchase or lease from this dealer… lease two cars from here and when one of the lease was maturing when In to refinance the car to purchase it… was told they would honor tha pay off of the car which was $13,878.. when they came back with the final numbers the 13,878 became $34,000!!! I have excellent credit so this was just them trying to scam me… I will be filing a complaint with there corporate office and with the BBB… please be careful when you come here… they will take advantage of you if you don’t know what to look for..

I have tried to contact a manager 2 times no luck

I made a 7:00am service appointment 2 weeks in advanced and let them know I would be waiting for my car. Well I waited 2 hours. So why do you offer appointments?? .

Terrible customer service specially in the service department...do not take your care to get service here....they almost make you feel unwelcome....

Bait and switch.

Bait and switch. Beware! I made it really easy for the internet sales manager, Valeria Soto. She sounded very friendly over text and over the phone. When I arrived I talked to her for 2 minutes She then passed me on to a different sales rep. They let test drive a non hybrid car abs the salesman kept saying it’s the same exact car witch it isn’t since it has a different engine. When it came time to finance I was willing to overlook all of this so long as they didn’t play the back and forth game where they pretend to be giving you a great deal every time. I told them I wanted a hybrid CRV. When I arrived it turns out it was in a sister location.... I was ok with this I told them that’s fine, I told them give me the lowest APR off the bat no back and forth and your best price. This guy comes back with a sheet that doesn't even have the total cost. The APR he gave me was almost 10% I showed him the promo and he looked confused. I left. You should too. I made it really easy and they bait and switched.

Was provided a firm quote for the sales price and also outlined the dealer added features for the total price. Drove 78 miles to get there to buy the car, and was told the quote was incorrect, and they added over $4,000! I asked how can this possibly be and the reply was oops it was a mistake on their part, sorry. Never any remorse or effort to honor and take responsibility for what they quoted. Print outs, emails and texts were provided and still, "sorry buddy you need to buy the car at this new price!!" To Ivonne Apolinar in Internet Sales and Mario Castillo in Store Sales, and especially Tony the Sales Manager, your actions are unprofessional, indefensible and show poorly of your character. You must make profits by ripping off the lower middle class immigrant population in your neighborhood, people who do not understand your arbitrary market adjustments, hyper inflated dealer addons as well as garbage extended warranties. To anyone considering this dealership, Caveat Emptor! or alternatively "cuidado por parte del comprador!" They are dishonest crooks.

I should have read the reviews before coming here. The 1 star reviews are correct! I received a Truecar quote and spoke to the rep there several times and asked the price to confirm it's the actual price. Well I drove a long way in traffic and rain. Glad even though I was tired I still was in my right mind to know when they want to be what every customer hates....the shady deal! Not only they added literally $2000 more market adjustment price than in the email I had...they wanted to put $4000 in additional add-ons for a car that hasn't landed at the dealership! So moral of the story...even when you get it in writing...do NOT come to this dealership.

Bait and switch - horrible dealership!

Stay away from Ocean Honda in Whittier and especially stay away from Mario Castillo in Internet sales. He tried to pull a bait and switch on us by quoting us one price on the phone and upping the price by thousands of dollars once we arrived. Plus they tried to add a $3000 “dealer fee”. They claim that everyone is adding them because cars are scarce right now. No. They are not. I have purchased two other cars in the last two months with NO dealer fees. Do yourself a favor read the reviews on this place before you go. You’ll see that people have been saying the same thing for years. I read a review a minute ago that sounded very similar to mine, except it was two years old. The owner or manager of the dealership responded and said that they were so sorry and never wanted to do business as described. That can’t be true. It’s two years later and they are still doing underhanded business, so they must be doing it intentionally. Go to Norm Reeves Honda in HB or First Honda in Simi Valley if you want honest service.
