Bait and switch? Allegedly vehicle listed on car gurus sold, however, of course, they had a similar vehicle for $2500 more. Except, that it was the same... vehicle listed on car gurus at the lower price. Very easy to check the price history on car gurus, and sure enough, the lower priced quoted was there on the car gurus website. That same vehicle is now $2500 more and is the same color, and exact mileage as the lower priced quoted earlier.
Bought a C-HR for our daughter at Norwalk Toyota. Troy Hardy in the internet division made this the easiest car purchase we've ever had. They even had... the color we wanted. The whole transaction wasn't much over 2 hours . Personally, I liked that Norwalk Toyota is a family owned business rather than one of the chains of dealers. (They have some cool vintage Toyotas in the show room)
I tried to purchase my new 2020 Toyota rav4 but we couldn’t come to trade in agreement. So I want some where and the funny part is that dealer transfer... my from. Or walk Toyota. I purchased the car on 12/29/19, on New Years a heard a rattling noise and I decided to take it to Norwalk Toyota service on 1/2/2020. Service consultant call me same day that his technician found noise coming from left front strut and mount. On 1/3/2020 he called me and told me the noise was still there and he wanted me to pick up the car. Because his technician misdiagnosed the car. He wanted me to bring it back when their field engineer was to inspect the car. I told him to I needed a loaner or a rental car. He passed me to his manager, the manager told me that his dealer does not offer any transportation. Even thought his technician misdiagnosed my car. So called Toyota USA and open a repair complaint, they told me that will glade offer a rental but first I needed to talk to Mr. Zedala. I called him on Saturday 1/4/2020. At first he was friendly, he told me he was going to call me back because he needed for information on my car. He called me back 20 min later. This time he called back with an attitude, he asked if I had purchased extended service contract. I told him my car only has 207 miles and my insurance would cover any repairs. Because the car is brand new and still cover under 3 years, 36,000 miles basic warranty. He basic blame me and he he wasn’t going to cover nothing. He told me he is the middle and Toyota should take care of the rental. I told him that’s his technician misdiagnosed my car but he was still going to charge Toyota for the error his technician did. I guess Mr. zelada forgot he does works for a family owned dealer and he should treat people with respect. It’s 1/6/2020 11:16pm and I still don’t have my car back or a transportation to get to work. Please go another dealer for service or to purchase Toyota. Please read all their reviews
Thank you for taking the time bringing this matter to our attention. We understand your frustration with your newly purchased Toyota from CABE Toyota.... Unfortunately we are not able to provide you a complementary loaner car here at our dealership. Since you purchased at another dealership we are under no obligation to provide you a loaner car for service issues. You had spoken to our service manager and he told you the same thing. Mr. Zelada is simply one of the sales managers who is listening to your concern and trying to offer you some assistance which is not his area. We are sorry if it did not work out the way you wanted.
Purchased my car 12/30 and I had to it my Toyota RAV4 with 207 miles to Norwalk Toyota on 1/2/2020 for rattling noise, service consultant called me and... stated that the technician found front left strut and mount. On 1/3/2020 service consultant call me and stated that the is still there and they needed a service engender to inspect my car. I asked for a loaner or a rental, he told me talk to the service manager. The manager told me that they don’t give loaners or put you into a rental, I told him that the technician Misdiagnosed my car and he told me to call Toyota. So I called Toyota the same day and you told me that they would put me into a rental. But first I needed to talk to Mr. zelada. I called the dealer on 1/4/2020 and asked for mr. zelada. they told me he was coming In at 1pm. So I called back and talk to Mr Zelada and told me to give 20 minutes and he was call me back. He did but this time he came back with an attitude, asked if I had purchases extended warranty. I told him my car on has 207 miles and it still cover under Toyota basic warranty. He told he could help me and to find my own transportation. I told him it wasn’t my fault that his technician misdiagnosed my car. He basically told me to f$xx off and he wasn’t going to help. Now it’s 1/6/2020 and the dealer have not contact to give me statues on my car. I’m waiting for a Toyota district manager To call me. I hope Toyota does not pay the dealer for the struts they replace and did not fixed the problem
Offered car, but could not find car? Pulled same scam 5 years ago....dont waste your time. Internet manager should be fired . Bait and switch scam
I am Sorry Raymond for the delay in getting back to you. I tried looking you up the on Cars.com requests i received for the whole month but could not ...find any request for Inventory from anyone named Raymond. I wanted to apologize just the same because of all of the wonders of modern technology ...there are 4 online portals that my inventory details from Toyota has to travel to and through when I either receive a new car, sell a car, or trade a car with another dealer and at times there can be errors due to processing of said information. It is why we and every other car dealership in business have to have this disclaimer on the bottom of every inventory page on our websites that states. "Neither the Dealer nor Fox Dealer Interactive is responsible for any inaccuracies contained herein and by using this application you the customer acknowledge the foregoing and accept such terms." We do the best we can to have it perfect but it is impossible to be perfect . Again our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you
Never ever come near Norwalk Toyota unless you want the worst service that can be experienced from a dealer!!!! Had to miss two days of work to bring... in my new Tacoma after 28,000 miles because of a bad belt tensioner..... really??? Missed work Wednesday and brought it in and three hours later they tell me they don’t have the part... xxx!!! So they ask me to bring it in on Saturday first thing in the morning... another missed day of work!!! I get here as soon as they open..... wait three hours... I go ask how much longer it will be and they say a few more hours... xxx!!! How long does it take to remove a belt and replace a belt tensioner!!! I could of replaced in in two hours tops and I not even a mechanic but I am pretty handy. This place is a joke, these people should be walking around in clown costumes and handing out balloons!!! I regret ever buying and servicing my truck here!!! People if you can help it NEVER come near Norwalk Toyota EVER!!!
Horrible experience with salesmen George. I would have expected to be cussed at and told to get the f#@k out of the dealership and salesmans face. I went... with my wife to buy her a commuter car, not a huge money maker for the dealer I'm sure but that's what she needs. We met with George and as he was pulling out the car we came to see he hit against another car. Then asked us not to say he did it when we went inside. During the test drive it was obvious to me he didn't really know about cars. I'm a service advisor for Porsche so to be honest I didn't really expect a salesman to know more about cars then i did. But it was obvious that when he didn't know an answer to a question my wife asked he was just making up an answer. Anybody that knows how a car works would know that the answers he was giving didn't make sense. Now to be fair, since I also work at a dealer I know the pricing my wife asks for is usually unrealistic. I go through this everytime we bye a car. I pulled the salesman aside and let him know to knock off a few hundred bucks so she feels like she got a deal. I was trying to make the deal work for him. Back to the car. When we sat down and looked at the carfax it I was able to see that the car was a rental for a rental agency and not a dealer loaner like he told us. He didnt seem to know how to read the carfax or he was playing dumb. Anyways we didnt come to deal, he took the paperwork from and said "thanks for wasting my time". Still ok, that didn't really bother me. But as we where walking to our car he was talking to other salesman saying "why do these stupid people come in here and waste my xxxxx time. Just cussing up a storm about my wife and me. It was very unprofessional. I went up to him and asked for his name again and informed i was planning to call the GM tomorrow to let him know about my experience. He told me his name was George, now get out of my face and get out of his f#@king dealership. Im pretty sure he doesnt own it. I asked to speak with sales manager. I was meet by Raul, which he very nice. But I'm not sure if he was really the sales manager our another salesman trying squash the situation. I let me him I understand the job and thats its strictly commission but when a customer doesn't buy a repair i recommend i dont tell to f@#k off and get out of the dealer. If I was the owner this is not an individual i would want representing my business or brand. It was very unprofessional and unacceptable. If it was just me, as a man in the industry I would of let it go. But when talk that way about someone's wife it becomes very personal, lucky our kids were not with us. If i could give a zero star rating I would. This review is being written at Cerritos Nissan in finance as we finish the paperwork on a newer, lower mileage, lower priced certified Nissan. Don't go to this dealer. The worst thing you can do as a dealer is lie to your customers. While at least i thought that untill tonight.
The customer service is horrible. The “GM” is never available. Their slogan is whatever it takes. It should be “whatever we can take” my van was trashed... and my personal belongings were taken. I filed a police report hopefully they can find the thieves. Thank you to The Norwalk Sheriff department and the detective that’s handling this case. I still haven’t heard from the GM. Run away from this dealer!!!!!!
I bought a brand new 2016 Corolla 2 years ago and noticed some paint flaking/chipping. I took it in yesterday to get it looked at and the service manager... said it was "damage that occurred while buffing or polishing". I thought that was odd because the only people who have washed my car (other than myself) was Norwalk Toyota. I explained to him that I have never buffed or polished my car but the service manager stopped listening to me, gave me a $12 touch-up paint kit and told me to go. Upset, I decided to take my car to an automotive body/paint shop. The independent body/paint shop told me that the chipping was either due to a defect in the paint or poor prep work and not due to buffing or polishing. I took my car back to Norwalk Toyota and I waited 2 hours for them to tell me that the chipping "was from an outside influence" and that they would not cover it. Again, I took my car to a different and independent automotive body/paint shop and they confirmed that the chipping was due to poor prep work. Norwalk Toyota's slogan is "whatever it takes". Little did I know that their slogan meant that they will do whatever it takes to get out of covering your warranty. I am currently taking this issue up with corporate HQ.
