Service department no good

Took my 2016 4Runner for oil change service. Inspection sheet shows brakes all around are good but they did recommended a list of services totaling a total of $1900 (not including brakes). I declined the service and took it directly to another shop where they tell me and show me my rear brake pads are down to metal xxx! How trustworthy is this dealer ???? They’ve also stripped bolts in the past for the cover that needs to be removed to get to the oil filter. How good is their inspection ??? Bad job Puente Hills Toyota.

Far from honest with poor customer service.

I purchased a 2021 Tacoma at the time of sale I noticed a decent sized ding on the cab the salesman James Peter (JP) assured me it would be a simple paint-less dent repair completed in a few hours. Contract was signed a repair order was provided in writing for the repair and I was on my way. The day of the repair I am advised the repair is not possible without having to remove the glass and go into paint and body work. This is unacceptable I just purchased a spanking new vehicle and now they want to tear it apart, add body filler (Bondo) and prep and paint the cab, it will never be pre-accident at this point. The sales manager Danny Anbar gets involved and I ask to make it right. He leaves me with two options 1. Let them perform paint and body work or option 2 Take $500 and call it even. We leave unsatisfied and decide to get 2nd opinions before making a decision, everyone quotes me over $1k for the repair. Our original sales man JP would not return calls only until I called from a different number and played the part of a person interested in buying a new car only then was I able to get a hold of JP. I decide I no longer want to deal with them and take up Danny on his offer of the $500. Surprise surprise Danny cant recant his words and denies ever saying such thing. Myself, my father in law and the repair shop employee where all witnesses to him having said such thing. Now I’m offered a $500 voucher to their parts department. Why in the world would I want a voucher to return to a place that I want nothing to do anything with. I am one customer but a very unsatisfied one who was lied to and will steer clear of any future purchases from them and discourage anyone wanting to do business with them. I will be expressing my unsatisfactory experience with Toyota corporate and the Toyota survey will reflect this. JAMES PETER will say things and give recommendations on procedures he is not well versed in. And there will be 0 follow up post sale and will use every imaginable excuse. DANNY ANBAR - is simply there to look at for the dealers interest.

Buyer beware

Puente Hills Toyota offered to buy me out of a lease 2 years ago. I thought everything was fine until September 16, 2019 when I found out there was a repossession on my credit that never happened. I wanted to avoid attorney's so I wrote reviews after Toyota Financial blamed me and got no response. I filed a BBB complaint against the dealership and again, got no response. I was able to sit and talk to someone who told me this dealership violated the Trust in Financing Act and that I should contact the Attorney General. I made copies of everything and sent them off to all Toyota agencies, the dealership and the Attorney General. It was only then that Nicholas Cardin contacted me saying he wanted to make it right. I went in today to have a meeting with Nicholas and he admitted they messed up but, he wanted me to sign a release form before he made it right. I told him he needed to make it right under the law because, this has messed me up for 2 years. He basically told me to do what I had to do and to take his offer and sign the release form. I'm not asking for much, just that he fix this whole fraudulent deal. Please go somewhere where you can trust the people because Puente Hills Toyota is not it. The just want to make the sale and forget about you.

Bait and switch

They have several Rav4 xle models listed as adventures, far to many to simply be a clerical error, obvious bait and switch attempt. At leas the sales guy wasn't pushy after we discovered their deception. Still wasted a lot of time though

Don't bother

They call but don't even leave message to you. They don't respond to your first email and following ones. Pricing is very high. They play games with prices. Not to mention that so called invoice price is total bogus. That number is a game starter. The cost of the car is way less than "invoice" number. Don't bother.
