Horrible Service! Lied to on the phone. Said great service. Pride themselves on family owned dealer, lied big time. Then got switched to another person. Do yourself a favor and find another dealership. Do NOT believe Larry!!!!

Service department Unethical, no integrity etc.
Where is the Integrity of this dealership? What happened to "treating every customer like they are the ONLY customer because we (you Encinitas Ford) would want to be treated" Or your slogan "We don't sell, we satisfy". My trucks been in the service department for over 30 days, It is clear and evident that Encinitas Ford has a lack of strategic clarity, unjust accountability system, poor organizational governance, and weak cross-functional collaboration. I came in today for clarification on our issue and unfortunately all you did was give me clarity on the fact that Encinitas Ford is only misleading on information and then are quick to "fire the customer" versus be honest and resolve the problem itself. Even the other Ford dealer I moved my truck too is dismayed about the unethical behavior displayed at encinitas ford. This Service department is awful and no resolutions. I pulled my vehicle out and took it a different Ford dealer. Will never give or suggest this dealer for purchase or service. Truly sad they can't even be honest about the mileage. Also cleared codes without fixing anything, had vehicle for over 30 days then came forward and admitted to failing us as customers and admitted to lying about service productivity Luckily I have pictures and documentation. Would give zero stars if able. Beware of their shady shenanigans! Sad since I've been loyal Customer for years.
10 Days for Warranty Work = $900 Rental Car Bill
I could not be more disappointed in their service department, from top to bottom. 10 days to complete work and 3 days to diagnose a check engine light. Horrible follow-through. Check engine light still comes on! $100 deductible turned into a $900 + $100 because of delays in service. Service team provided poor photos to Ford Warranty which meant that Ford had to manually inspect the vehicle. Took 4 extra days and only got approved when I showed up upset in the dealership. I bought the extended warranty and learned to never do that again and to never choose Encinitas Ford again. Had to call to get updates because they wouldn’t call.

Buying a car during the pandemic is certainly a unique experience and Allen Kessler went above and beyond to make it safe and easy. When we arrived Allen showed us the car we were interested in and walked us through the features. Within 10 minutes we were on the road for a solo test drive. We talked numbers and arrived at what we all felt was a fair deal, but left to take some time to think it over. No pressure and no expectations. A few hours later he followed-up with a check-in phone call and we decided to purchase the vehicle. When we arrived back at Encinitas Ford the car was washed, filled with gas and was waiting for us up front. Allen helped set-up financing with Doug in under 45 minutes and we were on the road shortly after with our new Mustang. We were impressed by the precautions and procedures taken by Encinitas Ford to ensure the safety of all guests and we truly appreciated how helpful, friendly and considerate the staff was during our entire car buying experience. Big thank you to Allen and the Encinitas Ford team!
UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES
You would think that during these times of COVID 19 stay at home restrictions, car dealerships would be honor vehicle purchase agreements that are made online. Not the case at Encinitas Ford. I went on to their website, found a vehicle, got approved, had a cashiers check cut for the downpayment and scheduled an appointment to close the deal and pick up the vehicle. How much easier does it get ? They did not even have to pitch it. I did all the work. Feeling as if I finally had found a car dealership I could trust, I was satisfied. Two hours later they had sold the car out from under me. Their shifty GM said he couldnt hold onto it because he would get in trouble with the DMV, and offered to buy my gas when I showed up at the dealership. What a joke! They cost me a day at work , now I have to go the bank and try and return a cashiers check that is made out to Encinitas ford. These guys are xxxx bags.
Shawn I am sorry that happened. We had another customer that also saw the vehicle online and came in and bought it before you arrived. I am sure they would have been equally upset had we not sold it to them. This situation was a wake up call for us. We needed a better process to deal with the new reality of online sales and have since implemented a system to avoid this situation in the future.

I live 2 hrs away from this dealer, and they made it sooo much easier for my family and I to get our 2016 GMC Acadia. Their reps were very helpful in getting us a good deal!
