My experience with Bart started after I had got burned in Summit County by the Ford and Subaru dealerships. He stayed on the phone with me hearing about my God-awful experiences with those two dealerships (the pressure/rudeness/etc.) for 2 hours! And this is at like 7-9 pm. He was so understanding, and made sure to tell me that he would not be pressuring me to buy a car. No matter the effort, he was going to make sure I felt comfortable that I was buying the right car for me. He helped me breakdown what things were important to me and was very knowledgeable about depreciation, and value. He came in on his day off to accommodate our schedules, and wouldn't leave till he knew everything was worked out with financing and service. The price was fair, but even if I could have gotten it for cheaper at any other dealership, it was worth it for me to go through him. He put my mind at ease, and is a genuine and honest person. It didn't stop there, after months had passed since I bought the car, I reached out to him for a lil' issue I was have with servicing, and he responded immediately on a Friday afternoon. I got 2 calls within 30 mins of my email (to him) from servicing to resolve the issue I was having. HIGHLY RECOMMEND **BART**

Poor experience and poor customer service
Unfortunately, I purchased a vehicle that was in an auto accident in 2015. This was not disclosed to me at the time of sale, and I was provided a report indicating that the car had no accidents. I figured this out on my own by visual inspection, and by pulling a CarFax report. CarMax did not try to find a replacement, and was unwilling to do anything to reconcile the situation other than me choosing another vehicle (not same car I'd been looking to buy) at their "no haggle price". Because I wrote a check for the vehicle, they can not provide me a refund for 3 days (check is coming from New Jersey). So, I am without a car and the $$ until I receive my check. I sold my old car same day I bought this one. CarMax was not apologetic or helpful. There was no way I'm willing to buy another car and trust their 125 point inspection and reports. Buyer beware!

What a Wonderful Way to Buy a New (Used) Car!
This was the best car buying experience that I've ever had! No pressure, no stress and a super convenient way to try out many different cars from pretty much any brand/model.....all at one place. The best part: you can find a beautiful, late-model used car for a fraction of the price of a new car.....and it will look and drive just as well. Our sales consultant (Ann B) was terrific! Would highly recommend going to CarMax! The only slightly negative thing I can think of is that the whole car-buying process still takes way too long (especially the "check-out" process). They need to come up with a quicker and better way to get you "out the door".

as advertised and thankfull
Although Saturday's are busy, I enjoyed not being bothered while looking and had to wait 2 hours to speak with someone. That was great because I needed the time, my salesman was professional and informative as were some of the other staff I ran into. Will continue to use CarMax for sure

Car Seller
I was going to trade cars at the local Mercedes dealer but they were giving me a low trade in on my car. I called and told M. Benz I was going to get another offer before coming in. I had read an article online that said CarMax needed SUV's. I decided to get an appraisal. The salesman I met was named Bart. He was the best. He was a semi-retired guy doing this for fun and a few extra bucks. He actually liked and has owned great cars, himself. He got me what he thought was the best appraiser. To make a long story short I got a top price based on my online research. It took very little time and I had a check in hand. I decided I would consider CarMax for future car purchases as well as sale/trade-in.

Great Buying Experience and Service
After seeing a car I was interested in on line, I visited the Littleton, CO CarMax store. Upon walking through the front door, I was immediately greeted by Harry, a very attentive salesman. I asked to see the car I was interested in, and he took me outside to see it and then we took it for a test drive. I originally was not going to purchase the car yet but I was so impressed by how the car drove and how yummy it smelled. Awesome detail job! After thinking it over, I called that night and asked for a hold be placed on the car. I was treated like a celebrity throughout the whole buying process. I had been preapproved for financing so it was a breeze. I was escorted to the big sofa area while my paperwork was being processed where I could view pictures of my new car on a large screen. Only after a few minutes, I was introduced to Melanie, who was very professional and friendly. She walked me through the paperwork fully explaining everything. Then when everything was done, I was handed the keys and my car had been fully detailed again and had a beautiful giant yellow bow on the hood, where Harry used my phone and took a picture of me next to my new baby! What an awesome experience! Best I have ever had buying a new, used car! They even gave me a full gas tank to boot! I had noticed that the ac unit was not working very well, so the manager said they would fix it. I took the car to the service dept. the next day where I was greeted by Curt, a CS consultant who took a personal interest in getting my car repaired. He even called me everyday to give me a status on the repair which took a little longer due to ordering parts in. The ac unit needed replacement along with some of its parts and CarMax took care of everything, no charge. I will definitely be back for my next car and will recommend this dealership to all my friends and family. A HUGE THANK YOU TO THE WONDERFUL PEOPLE AT LITTLETON CARMAX!

Not recommended
The Littleton Store's management inflexibility really soured my overall buying experience. Let me outline the scenario: I am purchasing a vehicle without leather seats. I wanted to install charcoal leather, but the dealer insists on installing light gray, because the darker leather would "diminish the resale value". So...I would think that having LEATHER installed over cloth would increase the value regardless of the color AND, Charcoal is GRAY and will compliment the interior anyway. PLUS, I am planning to drive the car until the wheels fall off...but, this argument did not sway CarMax Management. There's no additional expense for the difference and the charcoal is readily available...so, I have to assume that it is sheer pig-headedness by the management. VERY disappointed that I have to get this install done ON MY OWN and at a greater cost. Thanks, CarMax for costing me time and money to resolve an issue that could have been EASILY resolved at the dealership.

Does anybody sell cars here?
We went on to this car lot with the type of car we wanted to purchase already decided and when asking a salesperson where the dodge pickups were he pointed to where they resided. We apent probably 15 mins looking at the different models they had and no help what so ever. So we decided to check some internet reviews on what we wanted and to compare what they had there....about 25 mins later still bo help. So we went inside to use the restroom.....as I sat for another 5-10 mins waiting for the rest of my party to finish up un the middle of their lobby and again no help and was litterly looked at by almost everyone in there and not a single one even spoke to me. So we walked to the truck again to see the price, year and milage one last time to nake sure so could compare to others we were going to look at elsewhere. And on way out finally someone decided to acknowledge us.......it was the secretary thanking us for our visit and goodbye.

Great service
Due to a work transfer we were faced with selling our 2009 Nissan Frontier. We went to CarMax on south Broadway for a purchase quote to avoid trying to sell on our own. We were greeted by Cary Carter who was very professional and explained the process; I must admit I was very skeptical. The vehicle was visually inspected and test driven while we waited, probably 30 minutes. We were called back to Cary's desk for the quote. He had noted some dings which we were aware of but overall the truck was in excellent condition with only about 36,000 miles. He began punching buttons on his computer; I began to get nervous. I am happy to say his quote was only about $400.00 less than we owed on it. We accepted the deal which was finalized by another employee named Adam who also was very courteous and professional. We were then given a ride back to our home by a very nice young man named Cody who had only been with the dealership a short time and had only praise for his employer. I can only say what a pleasure it was to do business with CarMax and their staff...Great Job!!!

Review for appraisal process only - very smooth
I went in just to get an appraisal on our car and was very impressed with the process. We went in about 3:00 pm on a Fri so it wasn't real busy. The reception person immediately showed us to a large TV screen to sign in, offered us some bottled water and told us to have a seat in the waiting area. As soon as you sign in your name appears on a large display screen and indicates what step of the process you are in. Within 10 minutes of signing in Gary came out, explained the process to us and went off to inspect the vehicle. After about 20 minutes Gary was back and we sat down at a computer where he brought up the information on our car, then indicated what they would pay for the car. The facility, including the rest rooms, was extremely clean and comfortable. The 2 individuals we interacted with were very cordial and the entire process was very well organized. I have no experience with purchasing a vehicle here, but I was very favorably impressed with the facility, people and efficiency of the appraisal process.
