Nemo was very friendly helped me with all my questions and got me into the vehicle. I want it. I definitely would come back and would definitely refer family and friends. This place has been the best dealership I’ve been to.

I visited Hampstead Pre-owned after seeing a vehicle that I liked online. I was taken to a salesman immediately where I was seated. We spoke for a bit then he quickly arranged for me to take the car for a test. I liked it but wanted to drive another model hoping it rode a little smoother. Unfortunately it was equipped with off-road capable tires and was even worse. I decided on the first one with a trade in. It was explained to me that they go through the entire car and repair or replace everything needed during inspection. There was a bit of a surprise when I learned that the cost of all that work was partly my responsibility. I then found out that those terms are posted on their website which eliminates the confusion. Unfortunately, I found it on another website that did not display that information. I’m still very happy with the vehicle, especially knowing all the work that was done. Also, I’ve found a couple of failures which they took care of - no questions. Unusual for a used car dealer.

I asked the same 3-4 questions six times and they just kept replying to my email but none of my questions. Wasn’t willing to send me a final out the door price, they refused

The listed price is a bait which they say they offer the best price in 150 mile radius. But when you go to the dealership they pad on the processing free of $799 and the most ridiculous part is the freight charges of $499. Why? Is the car shipped from California? Across the country? Freight only applies to new cars. We all know they get their cars from the CarMax auctions so charging customers for freight is just a way to pad the sales price. What is more ridiculous is that they charge you sales tax on the processing and freight fee which means that the customer is paying for their income tax. Never going to set foot in that dealership again

I recently purchased a 2018 Honda HR-V from Hampstead Pre-Owned with Roman and unfortunately my experience has been very disappointing. Only 2 weeks after buying the vehicle, the brake system warning light came on, along with the parking brake warning light and stayed illuminated. On top of that, the Neutral gear indicator started flashing both while driving and while the vehicle was in park. This was alarming and raised serious concerns about the condition and safety of the car. I contacted the dealership on Saturday morning, 5/16/26 and was advised by the Customer Service manager, Kiran that the service department does not operate business on weekends. The Service Department manager, Jonathan was contacted and returned my call via text on Monday, 5/18/26 and advised that I should take it to a local mechanic to diagnose the problem. He was busy and couldn’t fit it in his schedule until next week. The dealership doesn’t know if any lights will come in your vehicle after you purchase it and the warranty is only valid for 10 days and it doesn’t cover the braking system. When purchasing a vehicle, especially from a dealership, I expect transparency and confidence that the car is safe and properly inspected before being sold. I understand that used vehicles may eventually need repairs, but major warning indicators appearing within such a short period after purchase is unacceptable. I strongly recommend that anyone considering buying from this dealership get a full independent mechanical inspection before signing paperwork or you will be highly at a disadvantage.

Tanner ,We’re sorry to hear that your experience has changed so significantly since your original 5-star review. We take concerns like this seriously, especially when a customer feels misled or unsupported after the sale. That is never the experience we want anyone to have. We would appreciate the opportunity to review the details of your purchase, the paperwork, and any concerns you have about what was explained during the transaction. My Name is Kiran and I am the customer Service Manager , Please contact me directly at 4436054902. so we can look into this matter and better understand what happened. Our goal is always to be transparent and to make sure every customer feels confident before, during, and after their purchase. We’re disappointed to read your review, but we are willing to discuss your concerns and work toward a resolution where possible.
Kiran is the best! He is so friendly and helpful and makes you feel so important. He is the greatest. Desmond worked with me for 2 weeks before I was able to get in there and buy my vehicle. But then everyone was great, from start to finish. Would definitely recommend!

Debbie, thank you for your kind words and for recommending Kiran and Hampstead Pre-Owned. We are thrilled to hear that you had a great experience from start to finish. We appreciate your feedback and hope to see you again!
We have had our new vehicle for about 10 days. Our Salesperson, Victoria, was fantastic. She walked us through the process. She gave us space to talk, but talked us through. If you’re in the market for a new vehicle, ask for her!

Zach, thank you so much for your positive feedback! We're thrilled to hear that Victoria provided you with such a fantastic experience. We appreciate you recommending her and Hampstead Pre-Owned to others. We strive to make every customer feel valued and taken care of, and your kind words mean a lot to our team.
The salesperson verbally promised to fix the paint scratches to get the sale, but intentionally left it off the 'we owe' form to get out of it. They also padded the contract with a fake $499 'Freight' fee on a used car and hid the cost of a forced warranty in the base price so it couldn't be refunded. I just realized almost a year later after I wanted to contact them ask them if they could assist me but of course not. Update: I have officially filed a formal complaint with the Maryland Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division (Case # MU-537166) regarding the fake freight fee and deceptive paperwork. I am awaiting the dealership's response to the state.
