He offered a sincere apology for how we were treated and truly exceeded expectations in his efforts to regain our trust and compensate for the inconvenience. A Deeply Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience at

A Deeply Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience at Toyota of Tustin I typically don’t write reviews, but after weeks of frustration and zero follow-through, I feel compelled to share my experience with Toyota of Tustin—particularly for anyone considering this location for service work, especially warranty-related repairs. My 2023 Camry required a moonroof repair that was confirmed to be covered under warranty. From there, everything went downhill. Phase 1: Poor Preparation and Excuses After the repair was approved, I brought my car in. The part had supposedly arrived—yet once I dropped off the vehicle, I was told the part was broken. When I asked why it hadn’t been inspected beforehand, the response I got was, “It was too big of a part to inspect.” That explanation makes little sense and reflects a lack of basic operational checks. Phase 2: Disorganization On my second visit, I arrived promptly at 7:00 AM for my appointment. I waited in my car for 30 minutes with staff walking past me without a single word. It wasn’t until I approached someone that I found the representative, Johnny Min, sitting on a bench. His response? “No one told me you were here.” The level of disorganization was jarring and caused me to be late for work. Phase 3: Incomplete Work After two days, I was told the car was ready and everything had been “carefully checked.” But when I got home, I discovered the entire wind deflector on the moonroof was missing. So much for careful inspection. Phase 4: Dismissive Conduct and No Accountability When I returned, the only respectful interaction I had was with a lot attendant. The manager—who I couldn’t identify by name but had a visible “Be Kind” tattoo—refused to look me in the eye, removed my phone from the vehicle dock without asking, and walked off with my car without explanation. When he and Johnny finally returned, they said a mistake had been made and I’d have to leave the car again. No apology. No accountability. Final Straw: Broken Again, and Still No Follow-Up The next day I was told yet another part had broken during installation. When I eventually picked up the vehicle, I spoke with Edgar (foreman) and Rudy (customer care rep). Both assured me they’d escalate the issue and follow up. It’s now been weeks. Not one person has reached out since. Everyone named here has gone completely radio silent. To top it off, I later found oil sludge beneath the car—further evidence of careless technician work. It makes me wonder what else went unchecked. This wasn’t just a single misstep—it was a pattern of poor communication, disorganization, and lack of basic care. What should’ve been a straightforward warranty repair turned into multiple missed appointments, broken promises, and hours of wasted time. Toyota of Tustin, do better. Warranty customers deserve the same respect and diligence as anyone else. Until leadership takes real ownership of these failures, I cannot recommend this dealership to anyone.

Gustavo, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We genuinely regret that your recent visit did not meet your expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. While we understand the importance of quality control, some issues only reveal themselves at the stage of installation or after installation, and we apologize for the added inconvenience this caused. On June 11, you returned with concerns about a missing piece on the sunroof. During that visit, you also informed us that the drip moldings were coming loose while driving. These moldings are secured with clips that had been removed during the initial sunroof replacement and were not held as securely afterward. To avoid any further issues for you, our Shop Foreman, Rudy, offered to replace the clips entirely rather than attempting another reinstallation of the current parts. We understand how disappointing this entire experience has been. Edgar, our Customer Care Representative, escalated your concerns directly to service management. The individual you identified as a manager is actually a service advisor, and we have spoken with him personally to address your feedback and ensure that your concerns are being taken seriously. We are sorry that, despite our efforts, we were not able to meet your expectations.
