Purchased a ram 1500 big horn on 07/11/18 from Lee Auto Group of Ft Myers for $16k. The day after I got it home I discovered the chrome panels on bottom... of door were there to cover up the fact that the bottom of the door was completely rotted out (not surface rust) but so rusted it just crumbles off when I touch it. After getting rear seats to raise up I discovered a water line inside the vehicle and as well can see floor rusting out in rear of passenger compartment where they obviously missed it per not being able to lift the seats. Greg Stephens told me to bring the vehicle in and indeed saw the driver door was rotting away under the aftermarket panel and told me he would call me back later that day. Bottom line is 10 days later and no call. $16k for a vehicle with obvious flood damage. I called the day I wrote this and again Greg Stephens replied he would call me back withing the hour and now another 9 days later and no reply once again. This morning I pulled the seats and carpet and low and behold the padding under the carpet was still wet. My credit union is aware of this but unfortunately not much they can do. They did however add that they would bring this up with the higher ups to see if they can have Lee Auto Group in Ft. Myers black listed as a company to provide loans for their customers. I hesitated writing this review but the customer service once they unload a vehicle on you is simply horrible.
I have contacted them many times - made an offer - once a salesman contacted me and wanted my drivers license - I sent it. Contacted many times again... - never contacted me.
My experience with Lee Auto Group was unforgettable! They treated me like a part of the family and showed me they were ONLY looking out for my best interest,... as oppose to merely trying to make a sale. They are great business folk, and I would recommend anyone to go there for a thorough, fervent, affable, and professional experience. Don’t let the looks fool you!
Fantastic experience from start to finish. In addition to being friendly, the staff was extremely honest, professional and helpful throughout the entire... process. Of all the dealerships I visited, Lee Auto Group was the only one that listened to me in regards to what I was looking for. They didn’t try to pressure me into something else. First time in my car-buying history where everything I was told and promised, absolutely came true. Thank you LAG!! Great experience and highly recommended.
Don’t buy vehicles from these guys they will steal your money by selling you a junk car . Manager Or the owner they are not nice to people. We purchased... a Nissan Pathfinder there at the same day it gave us problems and they were not willing to help.i hate that place I wish the police could shut them down for ever.
These folks will promise you the world, and try to sell you every add-on they can ( gap insurance and a warranty), none of which is worth the paper it's... wrote on, and contrary to what they say, you'll never be able to cancel it without the aid of an attorney. BUYER BEWARE
I used to be an employee of Lee Auto Group. Many times when someone is writing a review, it's more likely to be a negative one.. especially when you're... buying a pre-owned vehicle that may be upwards of 15 years old. But this is what customers fail to understand. I have seen hundreds of vehicles come and go from this dealership. Never once have I seen a salesman, manager or for that matter the owner sell a vehicle knowing full well there was something wrong with it. Never. Please folks, these are used cars. If something goes wrong call them they will make your issue a priority and make what is wrong right and no questions asked. If you think I'm wrong, then I'll send you my resume and you'll see that I worked at several pre-owned dealerships. Their loyalty towards customers is unparalled... BWelsh
no response to my latest email - it is they do not want to talk to me I have contacted them many times - Earlier I did have some correspondence w/ a salesperson... - i sent the required info and then no one contacted me
Shortly after writing my review I was contacted by Dennis at Lee auto group. He explained the warranty company had given me some misleading information... and got right on the case. 72 hours later I had my refund check from the warranty company for the full amount. I’m SOOO happy. I really like the guys at Lee auto group, and do a great job, and sell quality vehicles. I’m a happy camper and highly recommend them
If you bought a car from this dealersip and you live in Florida consider youself lucky. Their comment to me who bought a car off them and I live in Ohio... was, "just bring the car and we'll gladly make the necessary repairs". As soon as I recived my car which was shipped to me, the radiator blew. Within the next ten days the air conditioner clutch burnt out, left rear strut leaked antifreeze profusely, passenger side wheel bearing whining loud, fuel needle broke, both side mirrors glazed and a knock sensor that had my service engine soon light on. This car was real looker externally, but it should not have been sold to me in that condition. I paid 4,650 for it and just to get it running safely I paid over 2,000 dollars in repairs and hadn't owned this car for no more than two weeks. Called this dealership several times and they're response was, "what is it you want me to do". My reponse to them was to have them at least pay for half of my repairs. They told me that they weren't going to do that and once again their repetitive statement to me me was " I'm more than welcome to bring my car in for service". To my knowledge from Cleveland, Ohio to Ft. Myers, Florida is about 1100-1200 miles in distance. Who in their sane mind would make such a statement about just bring it in and we'll service it. The repairs were paid by me and I received no financial reimbursement from them. I would never buy a car from this dealership nor recommend them to this place. Instead of them using me as an additional marketing tool because I know lots of us northerners love southern cars with little or no rust and we all know how word of mouth can help or hinder business, they chose the latter.
