The financial department is a complete joke. I filed a gap claim months ago and when I call the finance department at this location no one ever ever ever answers or return my calls. it’s been months and I’m still waiting for my check! it’s ridiculous! What is the point pushing customers to get the gap insurance if they are not going to release the check after the claim has been made!!!

If I could put negative stars as a receive, I’ll definitely be adding more that just a few. I am extremely upset with this dealership and it’s Employees. They have the worst staff. I have not only had just one bad a experience, but so far I’ve had two. And for me that’s more than enough! This is my first and last time that I make business with this specific dealership. It is so hard to get a hold of their finance person. I requested a copy of my lease back in October of 2023 and it’s now May 2024 and I still haven’t Received anything. My biggest complaint and what made me very upset was their failure of properly communicating with me on a vehicle purchase that failed to go through because they had sold it at the same time they were selling it to me. My family and I were so excited to have gotten the call saying that our future truck was getting detailed and ready to be picked up by us, just to be notified 30 minutes later that it had been sold. So unprofessional! I wish there was better communication between the dealership and customer. It’s a lesson learned. I will never do business with them after these two experiences! And I highly suggest that you don’t either. AT LEAST NOT WITH THEM!

Harassing Phone Calls
I first want to start off by making it clear that Ishmael is a wonderful salesperson and this negative review is not in regard to Ishmael. Once the process moved above Ishmael is when everything went to xxxx. My husband initially made an offer, Hyundai countered, followed by back and forth negotiating. Eventually unsatisfied, my husband thanked them for the offer and declined, no longer wanting to move forward with the purchase of the vehicle. We made it clear that we were no longer interested and instead of accepting a loss in sales Juan Almanza, the sales consult at Bakersfield Hyundai, decides that we were in fact not done and proceeded to call several times and when I say several I mean more than 5 times. When my husband would not pick up his calls he had someone else call. Even after blatantly telling them we were in the midst of dinner and did not appreciate being interrupted. As if constant harassing phone calls weren’t enough, Juan proceeded to send my husband text messages implying that he did not know what he was doing and needed to learn more about money managing and sales tax. If someone tells you that they’re no longer interest in purchasing a car, there’s absolutely no need for you to send them articles about how to best manage their money and to learn about how sales tax work. If we didn’t ask for your advice it’s because we don’t need it. So if you still want to purchase with Hyundai just want until the end of the month and wait until they’re 7th call. They’ll sell the vehicle at MSRP.

Kassandra Bueno saved the Day!!!
The first sales agent wasn't listening to what I was saying. He seemed very pushy to me. The second sales agent didn't seem pushy but wasn't hearing what I was saying either. At that point we were ready to go somewhere else. If it wasn't for Kassandra Bueno and Joe Gacad, we would have bought a Truck from a different dealership. Kassandra changed a negative experience, into a positive experience for us. She listened to what I was saying and was so helpful and honest. We enjoyed working with her and Joe. Thank you so much for all your help.

Great Purchase Experience
Julian helped us secure the exact model and trim we had been looking for as soon as it became available. Terrible. Go anywhere else.
I traded in a Kia for a new Hyundai. From the beginning it was terrible. They didn't give me the correct spare key nor was the salesperson ever able to work with my schedule to correct it. Nor would anyone else help. Never got anything for the recalls on my car in the mail. Had to wait til my AC was making weird noises to go in and find out there's a recall. A month later I go to see about trading it in. The salesman named "Sultan" was an absolute SNOB. Absolutely rude. Acted as if he was higher than anyone and everyone. As soon as you mention poor credit or a factor that may make you "difficult" to work with. He talks to you like you are lower than him. I ended up going to Mitsubishi and I'm 100% happy with my new Mitsubishi and the people at Mitsubishi were way nicer and friendlier and willing to work with you no matter what negatives you had in your field. And let's not get started with the lady who worked in finance at Hyundai. Betty Avila. When I went to refund gap on the Hyundai I traded in. She had a terrible attitude and poor communication skills. I don't know who Hyundai is hiring. But they lost 3 customers. Get better people. People who aren't complete snobs and know how to be humble.

At Bakersfield Hyundai, I was approached by Miguel Hurtado to inquire how he could help. He never pressured me to purchase a car which is great because I despise hard sales. He never referred me to a “closer.” He is simply showed me exactly the car I wanted. The process was painless! I have been in dealerships where a new car purchase took EIGHT hours. I was out in less than three hours which included the test drive and financing. I purchased a 2021 Ioniq and I loved my experience. I will never purchase from anyone else.
