I just bought my first car from them and couldn't have had a better experience. They worked with me on the price, and never made me feel pressured to buy a car from them if I wasn't happy. Very pleased.

These folks have a unique auto sales business model with an inventory selection designed to appeal to both "car people", and car buyers alike. I am a long-term customer and any time one of my friends or family members need a car. I tell them to come here because of the nice people, the insanely chill and laid-back atmosphere and no pressure sales. They sell good cars, not junk. Heck, many cars they simply won't sell because they know what's good and what's not. They also always seem to have something really cool along with your usual mainstream cars.. Excellent choice of European cars as well. Do your homework and due diligence and you will be quite satisfied with Auto By Design.

Pleasant and easy to deal with - since it was Covid-19 time they let us do the test drive by ourselves. Wound up with a 2006 4Runner in excellent shape, and crawling underneath it looked like they did a fair amount of work before they put it on their lot. When I drove it home there was an overheating problem (failed radiator cap) and James said bring it back so they couldd take care of it. Their on-site mechanic replaced the cap plus the thermostat, because he said they wanted to make sure I wouldn't have any problems, plus filled up the tank before it gave it back to me. If we need another car we'll go to them first.

First of all who’s writing these fake 4-5 star reviews. These people sell cars as is, but claim they have warranties. I told them no deal unless they fix parking sensor, they gave me a we owe form, took car back and they kept me there as if they were repairing, first they said they lost part, another lie. Parking sensors still aren’t sorted, one of the worst dealerships in Va.

Auto By Design is awful. During the virtual tour, the salesman blatantly overlooked and steered clear of problems with the vehicle--it raises real doubt that any detailed inspection or repairs of this vehicle were done prior to its being offered for sale. The car was delivered 08/22/20--problems range from the front left running light not properly mounted in its frame, dried glue from a old navigation or phone mount on top of the dashboard--no amount of Goo Gone will remove the damage, a 10 inch crack across the burl wood dashboard, broken cup holders, a 12x14 inch section of the internal headliner hanging loose/unattached, and finally, my favorite. finding the ash tray with ashes, 56 cents in change and the remains of a smoked, rolled marijuana joint! Lol--these guys are ridiculous. Auto By Design is nothing more than a dressed-up, low-end dirt lot used car dealership making false claims, misleading its customers and offering poor product. Do not trust this dealership.

I had been emailing with a sales rep about buying a Porsche and when I said I was ready to buy, he did not reply for two days. So I called and spoke to someone else who confirmed the price and we agreed on the sale. They delivered the car three days ago and it has two warning lights on, a terrible squeak in the drivers door, burning oil smell, wet carpet behind the passenger seat, peeling leather shifter, vibration above 70 mph and it’s missing the second key. I have emailed and called them and they are now ignoring me. I am having a Post (?) Purchase Inspection done now to determine what else is wrong that they failed to disclose. Shame on me for trusting them. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

Worst dealership ever don’t stand behind their cars owner told me it’s wasn’t his problem after purchase the car 20 days from him stay away from this dealership now my car car is at local dealership with overheating problems save your money and go somewhere else the owner was very unprofessional to my wife and I treated us like a piece of trash and cursed at us and said he didn’t have to deal with it and Threaten to hang up on us STAY AWAY from this place

Everyone there is so helpful and kind. Whenever I have a problem, they are quick to get me in and fixed correctly. I trust them with my vehicle. I also bought my car from them and it was an easy and non-stressful process! They are efficient and very reliable.
