All Salesman not the same

I'm not sure where to start. Well, yes, I must say that the salesman, Michael Timmons, is outstanding! He's not pushy at all. Actually, I've never encountered a car salesman like him. For a minute, I thought that I wanted to change to another more aggressive salesman but then discovered after continued dealing with him, that I actually liked his personality and preferred his approach compared to salesman that I've dealt with in the past and I was glad that I was making the purchase from him. I'm very happy with my purchase of the 2015 Nissan Rogue Select! Now for my complaint. They supposedly got the car cleaned and ready for me to drive off the lot. However, when I drove the car home that same night, suddenly the Tire Pressure Warning light came on. This should have been checked when preparing the car for me to takeover. I texted the sale manager, Jeff Wells, and told him about it. I told him that I bought this car because I'll need to drive a long distance trip for the next 5 days to work a job. Therefore, I'm concerned about this warning light. He said that the tire pressure light was due to the change in the weather temperature and it should go out by morning. It didn't go out the next morning! So I called Michael Timmons that morning and asked him about the tire pressure warning light. He explained that one of the tires pressure is low so I needed to get it checked at a service station before I take my trip. Because he gave me the correct information about the tire pressure warning light, I was able to pull right into a nearby Costco and get all the tire pressures checked and corrected and the light went out immediately! My question is, why didn't the sales manager, Jeff Wells, tell me this. He said he's been in business for 40 years so I know he knows about cars. The answer that he gave me about the tire pressure didn't make any sense. What's good about this dealership is Mr. Michael Timmons and I recommend anyone purchasing a car to deal with him!

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!!

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!! SCAM!! I was searching online for a new tahoe and came upon a dealership in MD called Ourisman Chevrolet of Rockville, and it had a Tahoe that I was interested in for $64,330.00 after the $500 rebate. I hit the button for it to text/email them that I am interested. I got a call from Tomas Carlo, saying that they can secure me the car if I fill out the credit app (I have first dibs) and he also said that they don’t sell cars from under people because this person offers more, etc. So I filled out the credit app and text him that it was done and does that now mean that I have first dibs on the car? Tomas replied with well we have to agree on a price and paperwork is signed.. ok?? So I said ok and he called me up and nonchalantly mentioned the price being $69,330.00 and I stopped him and told him no the jprice online on their website stated $64,330.00 and he then flipped a switch and became very immature. I told him it was false advertisement and that he can’t just mark it up on a whim. He already pulled my credit and took a hit to my credit score on false advertisement. He then stated he would have to speak with his manager and see about the price but he “may not be able to eat for a few days”. When he called me back he confirmed he did in fact pull the credit but since I’m not willing to pay the $69,330.00 someone else will. So I asked to speak to someone above him who then called me and his name was Bryce. Bryce said that online they post the car at MSRP and when it arrives they mark it up $5,000.00 I then said ok well then I will buy it at MSRP while it is in transit and somehow I wasn’t able to do that either???? Oh and he hung up in my face- which I just made this all the more fun. Basically, I’m over here screaming SCAM and FALSE ADVERTISEMENT at the top of my lungs if you wanted $69,330.00 for the tahoe put the price that to start with and don’t waste people’s time and DEFINITELY don’t run their credit “because it secures the car”. Thank you for coming to my TED talk and have a great day :) oh PS, I hope Tomas doesn’t go hungry.

The sales manager drops the ball .. I have bought 3 cars from Ourisman dealership since 2018 when I bought my truck I was told by the salesman that I would have basic ONSTAR service for as long as I owned the truck. I have been battling with ONSTAR for a couple of months now because they keep turning it off. I finally reached my patients and went into the showroom to talk to the sales manager about it and he told me that he would call me back. I waited a week and still no callback, so, I went back in, but he was out of the office. I left my name and number again and still no callback...my guess it's easier to get new customers than keep the ones you have ....for now probably true! I will not be back to buy any more vehicles from Ouisman.. we all are busy but at the end of the day the customer votes with their wallet.

Dealer response

I understand your frustration entirely. However, Ourisman Chevrolet of Rockville is not at fault here. When you purchased your vehicle in 2018, GM did offer lifetime access to the remote features. Since then, GM has changed that program, it is not an Ourisman program. When you and I met, I asked you how much longer you planned on keeping the vehicle, you told me 6 months. You told me to think of a solution and get back to you. I left you a message the next day and didn't hear back until you reached my General Sales Manager, Cammeron. At that point my offer to cover the 6 months of service was offered to you and you declined that offer. Again, I understand your frustration. I think my offer was more than fair given the fact that Ourisman had nothing to do with this inconvenience. Sincerely, Michael Click General Manager

P16AB check engine code

When this code was found with OBD2 scan at home, I made an appointment to check into it. Brought it to the service department the night before and the service advisor scan it and found the same code. Next morning, the service mechanic did not see the check engine light on and the code was now in the history. No work done because code was not "active", cost 175 dollars for no work to be done. Very hard to wrap my head around no repair whether in the history or active. I am now waiting for the check engine light to be "active" and then bring it in to show mechanic. Big inconvenience!!! My service advisor was great, convenience of appointments also great.
