Terrible Experience with Vinh Nguyen at Autonation Honda

Terrible Experience with Vinh Nguyen at Autonation Honda Fremont I had an extremely disappointing experience at Autonation Honda Fremont on December 3, 2024. As expecting parents, my husband and I took time out of our busy schedules to shop for a bigger car for our baby, who is due this month. We were interested in the CR-V Hybrid Sport-L (FWD) and had an appointment with Edward. However, we were transferred to Vinh Nguyen (Senior Sales Associate). We had already test-driven the car before and were there just to see the color in person and discuss pricing. After Vinh spoke with his manager, he quoted us an OTD price of around $40,700. We politely asked if there was room for negotiation and mentioned $38,000 as our ideal price. His reaction shocked us. He became aggressive, rude, and unprofessional, yelling and telling us to “go shop around 50 states, and you’ll never get the price at $40,700.” This behavior was completely uncalled for. Negotiation is a normal part of the car-buying process, and if our offer wasn’t reasonable, he could have calmly explained the best price they could offer. Instead, his reaction was intimidating and made me, as a pregnant woman, feel scared and deeply uncomfortable. Thankfully, we decided to leave and went to Stevens Creek Honda, where the team treated us with respect and professionalism. We ended up purchasing the car there at a fair price and with excellent customer service. I strongly do NOT recommend working with Vinh Nguyen. His behavior does not reflect how customers should be treated, especially at such a major dealership.

The car cleaning service was not satisfactory.

The car cleaning service was not satisfactory. After washing the car, they sprayed tire polish on the tires, and some of the polish got stuck on the car paint. They did not wipe it off, and now there are many black spots on my car paint that I cannot remove.

We had an amazing experience at Honda Fremont!

We had an amazing experience at Honda Fremont! The staff were incredibly nice and went above and beyond to make sure we left completely satisfied and happy with our purchase. Special shoutout to Sam and Kent – they were awesome throughout the whole process. If we ever need to buy another car, we will definitely be coming back to Honda Fremont. Highly recommend!
