I had several questions about the Volvo XC60-T8.

I had several questions about the Volvo XC60-T8. They could not or would not answer them. For example - why did a car with less than 6K miles need one new tire? This all was on-line. My last question was never answered.

We just bought a CPO XC40 from Smothers European Volvo,...

We just bought a CPO XC40 from Smothers European Volvo, and the experience was very pleasant. Brandon was really responsive with all my questions, and Mauricio was trying to make our visit as comfortable as possible. Just like others have mentioned, we didn't feel any pressure to make a purchase. We saw some additions items that needs to be addressed before delivery, and Pedro didn't push back on any of them. The Finance person also didn't try to push us in buying any of the extended warranty/ package either. We probably went thru 4 car purchases in the last 8 years, and this experience was the best. Even after the purchase, they are still very eager to help when I have some small issue we want to address, and reached out to make sure we are 100% happy with the purchase.

We just bought a CPO XC40 from Smothers European Volvo, and the experience was very pleasant. Couldn't be happier

John White and the crew at Smothers Volvo took such good care of me and my family! This really was such a hassle free and easy car buying experience. I live about 3.5 hours away from Santa Rosa so everything we did was over the phone and via text. Honestly I was a little nervous about buying a car in the middle of a pandemic, and also since we don't live nearby; that we might get taken advantage of. That was not the case! I told John exactly what I wanted and he got it for me, in under our budget! I couldn't be happier with every aspect of our purchase. They took care of everything, and all I had to do was show up and get the keys! They even offered to deliver the car to my driveway, but I really wanted to drive it home myself! If you are in the market for a new or used Volvo, Smothers is the place to go!!! Thanks again John!!! Oh and btw I friggin love this car!! (2020 XC 60)

Smother's Volvo is Amazing!!!!

They made it simple, and Ron seems like a car salesman who can actually be trusted! I appreciated their attentiveness, timeliness, honesty, and overall care. I made a little bit of drive because I was not getting the same level of care from my local volvo dealership, and I will make the drive again as a repeat customer at Smother's! A week after I leased the vehicle, I even noticed that a small sensor cap and tow hook cap were both missing from the front of my vehicle. I contacted Ron and within minutes, he ordered me new covers, will have them painted, and is shipping them to me! That is incredible service. Thank you!!!!!!

Never more disappointed.

I am currently in discussions with the Vice President of Operations of Smothers European regarding the previous service with their Service Department. I purchased the car at Niello Volvo in Sacramento with approximately 16,000 miles. The last service done by Niello was at approx. 14,000. I brought the car in to Smothers (the closest dealer) with 22,000, less than the 10,000 between services. I was informed by the service advisor it was late in bringing the car in, which I pointed out was approx. 8,000, less than the 10,000 intervals. I was called by the service advisor, informed the standard services was complete, a rear shock was leaking and would be replaced once the part was ordered, and that the rear brakes were at minimal tolerance and needed to be replaced. When I questioned rear brakes wearing out with only 22K, I was told it was plausible based upon driving habits. I took the car to a personal mechanic who I’ve used for 18 years to have the brakes replaced and he informed me the rear brakes were fine and I would realistically get another 2 plus years before it needed to be done. When my wife read the service advisor commentary, she was terrified the car was unsafe and the warranty, a major factor in purchasing the car, had been voided. The front brakes were listed at 11mm, rear as “minimal” (no specific measurement listed), the tire treads were listed at 6/32 and 7/32 respectively. This gave her the impression the car needed significant work done and the value of the warranty was now worthless. After conversations with the mechanic and looking up specifications for the brakes and tires (12mm new brake, and 10/32 tread new tires) I was able to show her the parts in question were at 90%, 60% and 70% respectively. This was realistically the worst service experience I have ever had with any service department and it is a complete shock that a car brand with a significant reputation would have anything remotely like this happen. Unfortunately, there is no other dealership or authorized service provider within an hour drive so future service may require me to schedule a full day to get to and from another dealer significantly out of the area.

Fastest, most hassle free car purchase of my Life!

Amazing buying experience at Smothers Volvo for a new Volvo S60 T5 AWD. I purchased my previous Volvo XC60 from this dealer 5 years ago ( love that car, still going strong) and I had not been back to the dealer since ( they are quite a distance from my home) and didn’t recognize dealership- it’s been renovated and very modern - really impressive. I had spoken to the salesperson Ron Cope extensively about the car I was interested in and about my trade and we’d agree on the selling price of new car and a tenative price for my trade. When I arrived, Ron was waiting for me and my new car was waiting all prepped. He handed me the keys and let me test drive and inspect the car as he go the used car manager to examine my old car. When I returned from test driving he informed me of the old cars value (exactly what was originally promised) and he immediately started the paperwork for the sale of the car. I am not exaggerating when I say from that point to driving away in my new car was one hour!! The finance manager quickly had all my paperwork completed and I signed off all the documents in 10 minutes and after a comprehensive review of my car’s features by the specialist I was driving home smiling playing my tunes on the car’s outstanding stereo system. Just a really impressive and relaxing car buying experience - best I’ve ever had!
