We had a great test drive with Joel, and Tyler provided answers to all of our questions, and he gave us print-outs of the features for several vehicles we are most interested in-including some we were pleasantly surprised to discover with their help.

Wonderful experience!
We have purchased two new vehicles from Thompson’s in the last three months and the process was smooth and stress free both times. Miguel is fantastic to work with and made both deals extremely easy. He knows the vehicles well, let us ask questions and make our own decisions without being pushy at all. Highly recommend!

Love Thompson car dealership in Placerville Everyone there is very friendly and helpful. Clean restrooms and great waiting room Joel is the person who helped me buy the car I have wanted for a long time. Joel does not pressure you, but listens to what you want and makes it work. Need more individuals like Joel in customer service sales. I rate him above excellent! Thank you Joel.

This place swears were like family, I've even purchased there twice. I go on looking for a limited Rav 4 and get treated like an idiot. No I don't want your Corolla Cross! No I don't want your Rav 4 XLE, and no it's not a limited. Oh and thanks for the pre installed etching and crap I don't want your forcing on people. On top of your market adjustment. I went down the street and got a new car for 1k below invoice with exacted what and only what I wanted on it. Yes, just like family, a dysfunctional family on crack that steals the money right out of your wallet.

Terrible service
Hello , first off i am a local business owner of two businesses and i dont recommend this dealer and the good reviews must be fake. When you drive into this dealership its all used cars, there is no new inventory. Its kind of weird it looks like a used car dealership. If you want a new car from thomson toyota they will outsource the car and be the middle man and take it from another dealer who actually has inventory and mark it up $5000. I went to Thomson Toyota to reserve a toyota sienna. The reason I chose them from other dealers is because the salesman David Somberg said that if I give them a $500 travilers check and fill out a credit app that I will be the first in line for the next toyota sienna that comes in. So I said sure that sounds great being that other dealers have long waiting lists for the specific vehicle. About 3-4 weeks later he sends me a message saying we have a toyota sienna coming in. Do you want it? I responded back 2 hours later about 1030am and left multiple messages. He called back at about 230pm and we talked about holding the vehicle and then during this conversation he says wait a minute i think the car was sold to someone else??? We get off the phone so he can double check. He calls me back a few minutes later and says sorry my manager sold the car to some women who bought a electric car and it broke so the manager sold the car to her? I then ask what about my $500 deposit ? That car should for me to buy? What is the point of the deposit if when the manager gets in a pinch with a customer you will be put out of line for the available car??? David somberg says sorry i will send your deposit back and I go oook and he says oook and hangs up! So weird! Could not believe the disrespect of david somberg. I want to mention also i was very professional during this call so i dont know what his problem was? So my point is that it doesn't matter how many people are on the waiting list for a car and or putting down a deposit at thomson toyota because they will sell the car to whoever is at there liking at the time comes available. What also is not ok is that the manager at the dealer should be very aware of who is on the waiting lists before selling the vehicles. How did the manager not know? Your better off going somewhere where there is a 80 person waiting list. If you have any comments or complaints they don't care because they have someone else next waiting in line. This dealer is very shady, untrustworthy, careless, and no integrity. What a waste of my time. I am going on multiple social media sites also with the reviews thanks for reading

When it was time to reserve the car, he stopped being responsive and 2 days later he told me the car was no longer able to be reserved. He lacked honesty and transparency and he misled me into thinking I'd be able to get the car I was looking for. In the end he tried to sell me a different used car that I had no interest in.

We were searching for a Toyota 4Runner for a few months....
We were searching for a Toyota 4Runner for a few months. So I called Thompson Toyota and was fortunate enough to get Mr. Bill on the phone. I told him our criteria and he was able to find the car of my wife’s dreams. We were able to get the financing to meet our budget. Mr. Bill was very patient with us and he was a straight shooter, which is very rare to see in the car sales business. He let us test drive the car and even took us on a 4wheeling adventure. Very nice guy, I would highly recommend asking for him. Our finance manager was Craig Amolsch and he was very personable as well. Overall the dealership is very welcoming and if you live in the Folsom area, like we do, don’t hesitate to make the trip up the hill. Trust me the drive is worth the service. We also met the crew at the service department. I’ll be taking her car in for service there as well. Great lounge area with complementary refreshments and snacks. We’re so happy we came to this dealership. Thank you Mr. Thompson!

I bought a 2012 Toyota Camry XLE Hybrid this past Friday 4/9/2021. I want to say how Professional the salesperson was Mr. Tim Juravle and the Finance Manager, This is the 29th vehicle I have bought in my life time (I'm 75 yrs. young), and they made it very easy to buy and they answered any of my questions, etc. Truly a Very Professional and their employees are well trained, too.
