Just a few words to say thank you to Bernardo and the other folks at Mercedes of Salem. I started my quest for a second vehicle by looking for a used Cadillac then ventured into even considering a used Mercedes. One of the Cadillac dealers encouraged me to consider leasing a new Cadillac. I mulled that over for a bit, and then decided to look into a Mercedes since I was just considering this possibility. I called Mercedes of Salem and spoke with Bernardo and asked if I could test drive a new E350; he graciously said he would be glad to take me on a test drive. I explained that I was just looking and considering the possibility, but when I found out the price of the E350 I decided it was out of my price range and informed him as such. I thanked him and he offered to answer any further questions and to let him know should I change my mind about their vehicle. So I decided to check the net to see if I could find some other vehicles with fewer amenities for a bit less. I did find a dealership that had one for much less. So I decided I would go with that one even though it was out of state. Since Bernardo was very knowledgeable and gracious (not pushy) in his presentation and test drive I felt that I should let him know of my decision. So I left a message for him since he was not in that day. He called me back to ask more about the car that I found. When I told him about the vehicle, he once again graciously shared information about the vehicle that would make it much for difficult to resale because of some of the features and lack of features. He then asked if I would consider their offer after he spoke with his manager Dave. I said that I would and their offer was for a monthly payment that is less than the other vehicle and the vehicle has more features. So I agreed to go in and the process was started to lease the vehicle that I now have parked in my garage. I must say that I was pleased through the process. Bernardo has been most helpful to the point of even accommodating me on his day off to make me feel comfortable with the new vehicle. He even came out to my place to pick me up so that I could drive my new Mercedes back home! He has been most helpful even when I came back with further questions on the operation of the vehicle. I would gladly recommend this dealership and certainly Bernardo as a salesman to purchase or lease your next vehicle! Rich

I just have to express how extremely disappointed and shocked I am by the absolutely poor service provided by this dealership. This is my first trip to a dealership since I purchase my new C Class and the service department not only seemed apathetic but the entire experience was far, far below what I would expect from a "luxury" car company. I had to return (hour drive) 4 different times for 2 separate jobs because apparently it's not critical to do something right the first time. And then to top it all off - there are noticeable little white chips in the hood of my car that were not there prior, approximately 14 of them. I was told "the rain would wash them away". lol After returning for the 4th time, I was simply told that they could not help any further. They said sorry about the chips in your hood but there's nothing more we can do. I was shocked they let me leave dissapointed like that. I was so deeply saddened by this experience that I created an account to review this "luxury" dealership. I will do my absolute best to avoid this dealership although it's the closest one to me. I called Mercedes and they said each dealership is independently administered and they uphold their own standards. I purchased a Mercedes SPECIFICALLY because I was told the service was the best around. WELL, it's not. It's terrible (at this location anyways) and the experience was so bad that I wish I could get rid of this car. Really, I do. Cmon guys. If you're reading this, you really need to elevate your standards and at least pretend to care.
