TL;DR: They are incompetent when it comes to brake service, release unsafe vehicles, and call customers crazy for standing up to their poor service abilities.... I purchased my Ford there used, so naturally I took it there to complete a service when my brakes went out, as it was covered under my extended warranty from purchase. They replaced the first part, which did not resolve the issue, so they replaced a second part. At this point, they released my vehicle to the Ford dealership (who was AMAZING throughout this process) and told them that all they wanted to do was turn the light off. The technician drove my vehicle to and from the Ford dealership knowing that my brakes were still not engaging, the reason that it was taken in the first place, and were given an invoice from Ford that stated they noticed the problem was still happening but were not instructed by Sheppard to do anything. Once it returns to Sheppard, they call and say my car is ready, but please know, it has been 6 AND A HALF WEEKS at this point (44 days, two separate holidays, you get it). I go to pick my vehicle up that was "ready", and still don't have brakes. Ilia in service, Brian the service manager, and Ian the general manager argued with me for over a day regarding whether or not the issue was resolved. They told me that I was wrong and that my car had always been this way and that their technicians have looked it over and nothing was wrong with it, aside from Brian who went on at one point to tell me how awful my car was, which was neat. I called the Ford dealership, who confirmed that they did NOT say there wasn't a problem, but in fact said that there was, and asked them to forward me the invoice as documentation. Eventually, they realized that the only way to shut me up was to take it in to the Ford dealership for a second look, as I was not going to believe them. They finally did that, and wouldn't you know it, the Ford dealership was able to resolve my issue in JUST 30 MINUTES. It turns out, that when Sheppard does their brake services the service technicians there don't know that they're supposed to bleed to brake lines afterwards. I, not a trained mechanic or technician, know that in every single vehicle you bleed the lines after touching the brakes, but I was the idiot here if you ask Sheppard.
I had not purchased a new car in 15 years, so I was not sure what to expect and was not looking forward to the experience. I made contact with Tony Johnson... a few days before the purchase and he did a great job of understanding my needs and expectations. He was ready to show me only the models that fit my needs, he applied no pressure, and treated me and my family like long time customers. The car was for my 22 year old daughter, and Tony was patient and respectful of her interests. We were presented two extended warranty options but no pressure was applied and nobody tried to convince me to buy one. All of the other staff with which we spoke were also friendly and accommodating.
Great service beginning to end. Free refreshments in the lobby, and TV to watch the game!! Thanks
Adam and Heather were fantastic to work with. We purchased a pre-owned vehicle from them. They were very reasonable and even allowed us to take the vehicle... to be checked out by Small World before buying. I would recommend this dealership.
Very nice experience. Tom was excellent, no pressure. Great experience
Came in looking for an affordabl car not knowing really anything (my car died that day unexpectedly). Asked about monthly payments on a vehicle and about... leases - explained $200 was what I wanted to pay per month. Took a test drive and was told about a couple hundred per month is what the car would run to lease. Also talked about how I drive a lot for work. I wanted to know the exact number for how much the lease would be. They wouldn't tell me without a credit check (which seemed weird) but I thought hey ill maybe walk out with the lease. They come back with a number double what they told me and a lease that's 3000 miles less per year than I had explained I drive for work alone. Very offended. Mad as xxxx I let them ping my credit for something completely out of my price range. Felt lied too and tricked.
Super great experience. Luby went above and beyond everything I had expected!! They treated me like family!!! If you are looking for a new car and don’t... know where to go, go to Sheppard they are truly the best in town.
Bought a new Hyundai in 2015...good experience all the way. Very happy, so when I needed a truck for occasional farm use I contacted them via e-mail.... They replied they would be glad to help me. I e-mailed back what I wanted, and evidently they are not interested in selling older trucks in the $6000 price range. I never heard from them again and it has been two months. Because of this, probably will shop elsewhere for my next new vehicle.
Very nice staff, professional, got a good deal on car and out of dealership in a record time.
Excellent customer service. Good prices great sales person. No stress during sale negotiation process. They walked us through car features other patience... and great information. All 5's for them!
