I just took delivery of my third Mini on lease. As with my 2014 Cooperman and my 2011 Cooper, the entire transaction was smooth, open and efficient. This time I have a 2016 Clubman. Norm discussed options with me and my wife, and even let our dog join us for the test rides. Over the last 6 years, most of my visits to Herb Chambers are for service. Once a year for routine stuff and occasionally for something that comes up. Herb Chambers really has servicing customers figured out. From the time you pull in, they are focused on taking care of you and getting the job done. This attention to detail makes the inconvenience of a trip for service as pleasant as owning a cool Mini Cooper. Less frequently are the visits to the sales floor. Because purchasing or leasing a car is done so infrequently, it is so critical that the sales person walk the customer through the process and be a guide first, and sell down the list. That's how working with Norm is done. He explains the features of the current models, helps discuss the options (buy out at end of lease or new vehicle) and find what is right for me. And Norm and the Herb Chambers team handle the red tape and details of the transaction as smoothly. Instead of a traumatic end of lease vehicle inspection, Mark Landy gets the job done. Sorry about D turning down the dog treats Mark, he just isn't into treats! And lastly Norm sits in your new car and walks you through the new features. I have had my eyes on Mini's for years now and over the past few months really began looking into where I could find one that I wanted, if they were really the right fit for me and if a Mini was really going to be in the right price range for my family. I looked at many different dealerships and had actually stayed away from the Boston location because it was a bit more inconvenient for me to get to from where I lived. But when searching online, Herb Chambers of Boston was where I found the most available car's to go look at, so I made an appointment and headed into town. It was honestly the best experience I've ever had in a dealership and it was more because of my dealings with David Lopez than it was the car itself. Don't get me wrong I LOVE the car I purchased (a 2014 certified, pre-owned Countryman AWD), but it was truly working with David that made the experience so much better. As soon as I met David he made me feel comfortable. He was not pushy at all and he really wanted to listen to me and understand what I was looking for. He gave extra attention to not only helping me find a car that I liked, but also one fit with my families needs and in our price range. David made sure to stay right on top of the details whether it was the insurance, registration or financing... He made sure to get back to me all the way through the process and even contacted me to update me during his off time. Due to some holiday delays at the registry, the pick up date for my new ride was going to be delayed; and to put the icing on the cake, David went out of his way to make sue that did not happen. He got all of the paperwork done in time and even took extra time out of his day and brought me the new car himself at my office. He went over every detail of the car in the parking lot of my workplace and made sure that I was happy and ready to drive home with a smile. Then he had to suffer through the traffic back into Boston, while driving my beat up, old Suburu with 150K miles. I love the car I bought and working with David made the process of buying a car as easy, stress free and clean as possible. Thanks so much David and you and the Mini brand will certainly be a recommended to others.
