Not willing to schedule recall appointments

I purchased a pre-owned 2012 Toyota Camry from IRA. When I have tried to schedule an appointment for the outstanding recalls (one including an passenger airbag defect) I have gotten the following responses from Kim and others over the past month. "Let me check to see if the parts are available and call you back to schedule" - no return call. Called twice more to schedule over the past 3 weeks and after taking my information they put me on hold indefinitely. I purchased this car from IRA due to their close proximity to our home but find it very frustrating that they are unwilling to take the care in for recalls. Yesterday I received a special bulletin of extended warranty for this model due to excessive oil consumption and the letter referred to prior letters not received requiring the care be determined to have this defect buy Oct 2015. Possibly this is why they don't want to see the car? We continually give IRA the benefit of the doubt and they continually prove us wrong in how they manage sales and service. I'm mystified what IRA's sales and service model is given our experience with them.

Gregg, I understand your frustration with the recall process, but the dealership has nothing to do with whether or not the parts are available for those recalls. Manufacturers typically announce the recalls long before the parts become available to actually perform the repairs and in some cases before the fix for the problem has even been determined. I'm not sure why you would think we don't want to see your vehicle? We service more than 5,000 vehicles per month and we would be happy to service your vehicle. Body shop

Follow up. Car back, body work was superb. Customer service was excellent. Process was frustrating because of delays but it was during Thanksgiving and things happen. They did detail car for free.

Body shop

Made the mistake of agreeing with insurance company to have body work done here. Brought it in on November 6, 2015 and on December first was emailed that it may be ready tomorrow afternoon. Seems they had to wait for a radiator hose coming from California? You would think a Toyota dealership would have a radiator hose in stock. The people seem nice but I feel like I'm getting the runaround. Thanks for letting me vent.

Bait and switch pricing / service manager has bad attiude

I called ahead to get a price and schedule an appointment for a basic oil change for my Toyota Sequoia(08). I provided all of the information regarding my car when talking to the representative. I was given a price of $44.95 to which I said, you know that car takes 7.4 quarts of 0W20 right?? They reassured me that was the price and set up my appointment. When I pulled into the service bay I was eventually greeted by a service rep that checked in the car. He noticed the inspection was due at the end of the month and asked if I wanted them to inspect it which I agreed to. When reviewing the work order, I noticed the inspection was listed with a price of $35 (standard Ma Inspection fee) but there was no price listed for the oil change. When I asked why the price of the oil change was not listed I was told that it varies??? Then I was told it would be $79 for the oil change and told that my car needed 7.4 quarts like I didn’t know that already. I informed him I had got a lower price on the phone and would like them to honor it since I did take the time to drive down. The service rep and I went in to see the service manager who was very rude and just said “sorry they were wrong”. I reminded him that “they” are your dealership but he just gave me a very negative attitude. I had to stand in front of my car to keep it from going back to the service area. I don’t know why they were moving it since I did not sign a work order. On my way home I took the opportunity to call them back and let them know what had happened. They telephone rep. confirmed the 44.95 price! I escalated to a manager and gave them the whole story. They were going to review the recorded call from earlier and get back to me with a resolution. I’m still waiting 3 weeks later……. IRA must service hundreds of Sequoia’s and Tundra’s a week so to not have an accurate price for standard oil change is ridiculous. It’s also very suspicious to not list the price of the oil change on the work order when the cost of the inspection is listed. If you can’t trust them with the price of an oil change would you trust them with any other work??

I had given IRA a few opportunities to make this right and was just met with resistance. I still have not been called back with a resolution from the call center and Its been over a month now.

Quick and Ease - "Great Experience

I never thought about lease a car before....but i have all my questions answered so well and so well explained...... I did close the deal in one visit, and I'm very happy with my new Venza....I do recommended my Salesperson Adriana Porter and Ira Toyota..... The process was very quick and ease..... And Adriana great attitude treating me with much respect. The car ready at the exact time she told me..... and the features explain...

Buyer Beware!

I knew that I wanted a Toyota, which is the reason why I went to this dealership. I really love my car, but I wish I bought it somewhere else. Once the sale was made, the salesman was fairly unresponsive to my requests. He did not respond to my emails or calls asking him to communicate information to my lender and insurance company. The worst part of our service was from the finance department. Jesus Rodriguez was threatening and very nasty to me when he learned that I did not want to finance through IRA and that I was not interested in their warranties. He refused to explain the paperwork that he wanted me to sign, and he also attempted to stare me down and belittle me. Please get a Toyota, just save yourself the stress and don't go to IRA in Danvers. Buying a new car should be fun and exciting, instead they really ruined my experience.

We highly recommend this dealership

We just received our new Toyota car today! We have the best car purchase experience at Ira Toyota of Danvers. After visiting 3 car dealerships over the weekend we came to Ira Toyota of Danvers on Monday. We were greeted at the door with courtesy, and felt been welcomed right away. The salesperson, Adriana Porter, is friendly, honest and very generous with her time. She is very helpful, and answered all our questions. We closed the car deal in this one visit, and are happy with the car purchase. We just hope more people to come to Ira Toyota of Danvers to experience the smooth and pleasant car purchase process.
