I have been in the car business for 21 years, the past 4 years were with Colonial Ford of Plymouth! Interacting with new and previous customers are my favorite part of the job. I am from Barrington, RI and currently reside in Braintree, MA with my wife and two daughters. On my time off, I enjoy spending time outside by the fire pit with friends and family. Please feel free to contact me directly, and I would be happy to assist you.

I initially thought it was.

I initially thought it was. a great dealership. They were able to help me purchase a Bronco which took I thought way too long, but when it finally arrived at Colonial I was so excited to have the car come totally ready which is was not, the window gaskets were dripping some sort of adhesive, there was a loose rubber tube hanging from the ceiling, the amount of explanation about using the vehicle was very lacking, the communication was even more lacking. I tried to get clear communication from the Sales and General Manager. I was promised a written breakdown of the cost which by the way was not what I was expecting. When I originally ordered the vehicle, I was contacted by the Sales Mgr. who informed me that I was going to get an $8000 increase in my price even after we had agreed on a price (which by the way was the full retail price) and it would be against the law to try to increase the price after a contact was signed by both parties. I am left not being sure who to contact at Colonial about problems, questions , ordering accessories and what was available. Mike Smith told me to reach out to him but I have not received any answers to my questions. The General Mgr, promised me the financial full disclosure on the price I finally paid but I have not received such a document. It took about a week for me to get any Registration paper work as Colonial Never reached my insurance company until I complained and complained although Colonial promised me that he had reached out to my Insurance agent in Plymouth, MA. I sent the sales person, Mike Smith many questions thinking he would be the person to answer my questions but I have not had any replies from him since I left the dealership with my new Bronco. So the answer is that I was very disappointed and hope I made the rifght decision to buy my Bronco at Colonial, not the closest Ford Dealership to my house in Marion. The trade in value I received was terrible, much lower than many offers I had received from craigslist or Facebook or even Carvanna. The General Manager had promised me a great better deal on my buying the new Bronco and that he would make sure I got a great trade in offer which was exceptionally low. I am answering these questions carefully and honestly . This was not my first Ford purchase and probably my last as this was not and still has not been a smooth deal nor do I feel appreciated.

Dealer response

Michael- Again we will offer publicly a full refund on the purchase, as well as an apology for any shortcomings . We have reached out numerous times to give you a world class experience that all our customers deserve and that to which we strive for at every opportunity . Now first and foremost this was purchased at EMPLOYEE PRICING which was disclosed on all the documents you signed at 3 touch points and paperwork given to you by the Business Manager and subsequently emailed 3x ...speaking of an increase in price is absolutely not true - the only increase Joe the manager explained was if you added different options and changed configurations to your order with Ford it would change pricing based on that and that alone . Next if you recall upon your arrival July 2 at 3pm and departure later that afternoon you were informed the transfer plate law in Ma. is a 7 day window and the bill of sale is your proof of registration / purchase when you asked both the salesman and business manager ,along that line if you recall there was a major holiday approaching and insurance agencies were not responsive heck most closed early on July 3rd - closed on the 4th with Saturday and Sunday Closed as well . The registration was completed and sent to you no later than Tuesday well in line with expectations , some would say an excellent time frame with the purchase date and holiday happening . The Trade value was more than fair and if there was a issue it could have been resolved at numerous times on July 2 when at the dealership ,during appraisal, and presentation to you to which you agreed on the figure as fair . Being an honorable man I never questioned your descriptions of your 2017 Ram with just over 100k then a week later upon our safety check the mechanic advised the pre owned manager your truck was not retail sellable as the Air Suspension was inoperative and or missing and would be several thousand to replace . Michael I truly hope we can resolve this to your satisfaction my door is always open . Respectfully , Ron Almeida General Manager

I recently had the pleasure of purchasing a 2025 Ford

I recently had the pleasure of purchasing a 2025 Ford Maverick from this dealership, and I can honestly say it was the best car-buying experience I've ever had! From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by Michael Smith, who made me feel right at home. His friendly demeanor and extensive knowledge of the vehicles truly set the tone for a fantastic experience. Michael took the time to understand my needs and preferences without any pressure. He guided me through the options available and answered all my questions with patience and professionalism. It felt more like a conversation with a friend than a sales pitch! Once we found the perfect Maverick, I had the opportunity to work with Brenden Smith, the finance manager. Brenden was incredibly helpful and transparent throughout the financing process. He laid out all my options clearly, ensuring I understood everything before making any decisions. There was no rush, and I felt completely supported in making the best choice for my budget. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better team to help me with my purchase. If you're in the market for a new vehicle, I highly recommend visiting Michael and Brenden. They truly care about their customers and make the car-buying experience enjoyable and stress-free. Thank you both for making this an unforgettable experience!

Dealer response

Jarred- ALL Pre Owned Vehicles go through a MULTI POINT INSPECTION and brake thickness front and rear are measured to the mm by a trained service tech along with tire depth and numerous other items . We take pride in all our vehicle sales and strive for Customer Satisfaction - obviously the call with the Sales Manager did not satisfy you so please call me directly at 774-773-3536 I would appreciate if you to email or text the inspection report from Subaru with brake measurements-we can then meet and put your car up on the lift and if there was any error on our part take 100% responsibility and replace your brakes -and if in fact Subaru was trying to "SELL YOU ON SOMETHING NOT NEEDED" then light will be shed on that- and either way we continue the great relationship we had from the start .
