Personnel were very accommodating and profession

Personnel were very accommodating and profession especially Jeff Patryn and Danny Colon. If we lived closer to dealership, wouldn't hesitate to utilize.

I want to say up front that I've had nothing but good

I want to say up front that I've had nothing but good experiences with McGrath of Elgin's service department. They've always completed work in a timely manner and have never been pushy about add-ons. Hence the two-star rating. The sales department, however, is another story. We purchased a new Honda from this dealership a few years ago, and that process was not great, mostly due to a lack of pricing transparency. The only reason we ended up buying the vehicle was that when we finally got a price out of them, it ended up being better than any other dealer in the area. Sadly, their sales practices don't seem to have improved in the intervening years. Recently, I was interested in a Certified Pre-Owned Honda that they had. The salesman was pleasant, and the test drive good. However, when we got down to pricing, there was a $2,000 "reconditioning fee" that was not disclosed up front, and they severely low-balled my trade-in. I walked away from the deal and ended up purchasing elsewhere.

The service department worked hard to get our vehicle fixed and back to us as promised. They kept me posted during the whole process. Great job.

My Service Advisor was Gerardo Sharif and he did a Fantastic Job! I want him as my Service Advisor from now on. He was very thorough, and I trusted the advice he gave me about my car. I even know what needs to be done on my next servicing. Appreciated him teaching me how to utilize Remote Start. I really appreciated the time he spent with me.

First trip to your Service Dept.

First trip to your Service Dept. The young service writer was outstanding. (ten stars). Very knowledgeable, very hands on, wasn’t able to handle a technical question so called a mechanic to help us get the answer we were looking for. I call that above and beyond. Thanks for a great day experience.
