One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had as a customer.

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had as a customer. I’ve never been lied to so much, pushed to the side and treated as if my business for 15 years having an Acura was meaningless. Rachel, the service manager is by far one of the coldest and most careless people that I’ve ever encountered. If she could lie to me as much as she did it’s no wonder the people under her do the same. im disheartened at the lack of care and the money I was made to spend waiting on answers with them having my car for almost 2 months and making a decision to not give me a loaner vehicle after being told one would be available a week after they took my car in and then being told I couldn’t get a loaner when the day came for it to be available. The service I’ve gotten has definitely at this point put me in a position to never want to buy another automobile from Acura again or deal with them or Honda Corporate who participated in the lack of care for me as a customer in addition to the time frame it took for them to even give an answer to me on my request and complaint. I’ve loved Honda and Acura since 2010 and this experience has altered my complete feelings on this company. I could go on for days, but I will be posting more on social media as well as to the BBB, Yelp and various other social media platforms….

Horrible experience.

Horrible experience. Brought in my car for a crankshaft recall and ended up with a broken motor mount. They won't pay to fix it and won't return my calls. Service manager was supposed to call me multiple times and never did.

We promptly inspected your MDX and our technician determined that the noise was due to a faulty strut—not an engine mount. We understand that unexpected vehicle issues can be frustrating, and we were ready to further inspect your vehicle when you scheduled an appointment on Friday. However, it appears that you opted to have repairs done elsewhere and did not attend the scheduled follow-up. The actual order of events were... MDX went in for a crankshaft recall and was returned to me with a squeaking noise. MDX went back in and was misdiagnosed as bad struts ($2400 quote). MDX was brought to a different location where motor mount was replaced and issue fixed.

WARNING*******Purchased certified pre owned vehicle within short time of having car issues occurred. Took to another Acura dealership that stated there were several problems. Trying to get this corrected by Acura of Berlin and Rachel will not call back. I have left 4 messages. The one person that did call back was rude would not listen ,unprofessional kept interrupting me and then hung up on me. I have a video and voicemail from another Northeast Acura dealership stating what needs to be fixed. I was told by Acura of Berlin that sometimes dealerships over exaggerate to get more money wow just blows my mind! Stand behind your products you sell!! Consider this before you purchase any car from Acura of Berlin dealership as they do not stand behind their vehicles they sell!!!

Since you purchased your TLX four months ago, this is the first time we’ve come across any concerns with the vehicle. When our experienced, certified technicians thoroughly inspected your TLX before delivery, it passed with flying colors, meeting all the necessary certification standards. As I mentioned in the voicemail I left for you, I would love the opportunity to personally inspect your TLX and address any concerns you may have. Our General Sales Manager reached out to assist as quickly as possible. During his conversation with you, he reviewed the findings and explained that the tire pressure warning light was triggered due to a screw that penetrated the tire. As with any AWD vehicle, it is typically recommended to replace all four tires if tread depth varies significantly, as replacing just one can affect performance and requires an alignment. While we were more than willing to go over all the details with you, our General Sales Manager was unfortunately met with an aggressive conversation. While we understand that vehicle concerns can be frustrating, our team—who are also human beings—should not have to endure disrespectful interactions. At that point, our General Sales Manager made the decision to end the call. You have all the certification documents, including measurements, confirming that your TLX was well above the required standards at the time of purchase. While Northeast Acura is an affiliated dealership, their technicians, like many others, may point out items that could need attention in the future rather than immediate repairs. That being said, we still want to make this right for you. If you’d be open to it, we’d love to take another look at your TLX and ensure you’re taken care of, as this is what we do as the #1 Certified Pre-Owned Acura dealer in Connecticut—with the highest customer experience reviews.
