Wonderful experience from start to finish on purchasing...

Wonderful experience from start to finish on purchasing our vehicle. I can not say enough about the professionalism, and experienced team that Gengras offers to its customers. Sales, Finance Department and Service is wonderful

Sol a bill of goods, XC 90 Disaster

#Volvo XC90 an Automobile Manufacturers' Design Engineering Disaster! The Volvo XC90 is a dangerous vehicle. This vehicle is riddled with numerous recalls. The Volvo XC90 as Gengras Volvo Service says is too heavy. Because of the weight the brakes wear out too soon, too early. It is an automobile manufacturer engineering nightmare. The Volvo XC90 with less than 1,000 miles manufactured with garbage, cheap brake pads and rotors. All requiring replacement due to constant vibrations. All spark plus replaced with less than 5000 Miles Cracked! The Volvo XC90 requires complete brake replacements to the tune of approximately $1200.00 every 14,000 miles,call due to the weight of the vehicle and undersized system due to engineering design! The Volvo XC90 is an engineering catastrophe, it was designed, manufactured, assembled with incorrect installation instructions or the lack thereof, leading to water penetrating the vehicle, traveling through the interior roof and escaping into the electronic system, into and through the radar, camera system, Volvo sos system, down the dash into the dash compartment. Numerous times, until they say it was manufactured incorrectly. The Volvo XC90 is a dangerous vehicle. For no reason, the XC90 Infotainment System blacks out shuts down, says seek service. Nothing works once this happens, no navigation, no air, no heat, no controls. When driving the Volvo XC90 down the road, for no reason the vehicle transforms into a seatbelt compression gripping machine xxxxxxx myself and passenger with such force into the seat, one would think they were in a rocket blasting off. Again, for no reason, no people, no animals, no vehicles on coming. Very scary. The Volvo XC90 plays games. When sitting at a light, or driving on a two-lane road, for example, the sensors would go off on different corners, for NO reason! It’s not like we were parking, in or out or backing up. The vehicle behaves on its own. When starting this Volvo XC90, for no GODLY reason, the vehicle revs as if someone is pressing the accelerator to the floor. The Volvo XC90 is a very dangerous vehicle. It is unsafe. We purchased this brand-new from Gengras Volvo in East Hartford. We were sold a bill of goods. We were told that this Volvo XC90 was the safest, technology advanced luxury vehicle on the market. Nothing can be further from the truth! It is a dangerous unsafe design engineering disaster. And to top it off, it's the Inscription Trim.

Time for another trusted Gengras Volvo

We had a sport model S40 that may wife was apprehensive to part with but, it was time. The service department Peter B. and service tech Tony D. accessed that the S 40 was costing too much to keep repairing and advised that it may be time to visit Vecdet again. Well, she did and purchased a certified S 60 and has been very well pleased with the vehicle. Vecdet again took care of all the necessary paperwork. We like purchasing Volvo's from "Vec", he's thorough and professional and makes the whole process very comfortable. My wife asked what will happen to the S 40 and Vec said it would be wholesaled. After all the repairs the S 40 was still in great shape so, she gave the S 40 to the service tech whom performed all the repairs. At least he can repair it at his leisure. Paul H.

requested information on a new Volvo from their website. several days passed and not one person from the dealership even bothered to get in touch with me. terrible customer service. will be shopping at another dealership from now on.

Total Trust and Service

Shopping online from Maine for a 2017 XC60, I was fortunate that Vecdet took my call. His knowledge and calm professionalism assured me that that the car I selected, was the car I wanted and eventually drove off the lot. The trust and confidence he instilled on behalf of the dealership was a necessary component for purchasing a vehicle sight unseen. He provided above and beyond service, returning every call, patiently dealing with a difficult financing institution, and even coming in on his day off when I changed my pickup date because of an impending storm. In addition, each time I called, the staff was cheerful and friendly. In short, I had a wonderful experience with Gengras, and with Vecdet as my salesman.

Gengras is a great place to buy a car

I bought a used XC70 pretty fair price considering the work that was done Jola who's the sales person did an excellent job in making this a smooth deal to buying a nice vehicle . . alan the sales manager was very good to me too in setting the car side for me to look at The mechanic who prepared the car and made sure everything was perfect is Tony and he is a phenomenal mechanic and really takes pride in his work he should be commended for his commitment two doing a excellent job.

Excellent Experience

I recently leased a 2019 XC60 from Gengras Volvo East Hartford and for the first time had an absolutely tremendous experience. Ask for Lance Jewel, hands down one of the most genuine and knowledgeable salesmen I've ever dealt with getting a new vehicle. I bought my first Volvo from him last week, and I will by my next Volvo from him years from now. Gengras made the entire experience as pain free as possible, and Lance has to be one of the coolest guys in the business!
