I bought an older XC70 from this dealer. It was a model that I had been looking for so I traveled almost three hours from NY to CT to buy it after a friend who lives nearby who had purchased a vehicle from them last year referred me. The whole buying process I would have rated a 5. However, after driving the car home from the dealer and then parking it front of my home and locking the doors, the alarm siren went off randomly. I thought maybe I hit the panic button inadvertently so I didn't think much of it. Same thing happened for the next two days of the weekend. On Monday I contacted the salesperson to let her know what was going on and to see if anything could be done. Knowing that the car is sold as is I understand if things go wrong its on my but I felt that this was something that happened literally the first time I shut the car off and locked the doors. I imagine this was something that was going on prior to me taking possession of the car. After three days I had not heard back and followed up on the 4th day. I was told via text that the car was sold as is and there was nothing that they could do for me because they were unaware of the issue and the car passed all the safety requirements. I found this super disappointing because 1. there was no apology 2. there was not suggestion to at least let their service department look at it even if it was my responsibility for the cost 3. no goodwill in offering to have the service department fix it and they give a discount or cover some of the cost if not the entire amount which I believe would have been appropriate and 4. they were not aware of this issue but I literally turned it off for the first time and informed them Monday after picking up the car on Friday-having the first instance happen at 6pm on Friday, the second instance happening after the dealer was closed on Saturday and again on Sunday when they were closed for the day. If this was something that happened after some time of me owning the car, I get it, its on me since the car was sold as is. This happened within 5 hours of ownership. I have never heard directly from the manager and it seems that I am on my own now to go to a local Volvo dealership to have this taken care of. It is less than a week since I purchased the car and it still has the temporary plate on. We will be looking to lease an XC60 in the near future to replace another car in the household and I had inquired information from the finance department regarding out of state leasing- unfortunately I will not be going back here

Beginning of June I had my car for a regular service and service was great. Yesterday I brought my car for service with a very unusual problem. My sunroof was making gurgling noise during driving at certain speed in a rain. Being in the car business myself I know how difficult can be to fix anything that happens only in certain conditions but they acknowledge my issue and found solution how to fix it. Service advisor Pete and technician Francisco kept me informed through the whole process. Absolutely amazing service.

e very cautious about promises and warranties. The accessories like tow hitches do not perform as promised and the dealership response is delay/ forget/ignore. They then promise to make it right, don’t return phone calls and provide silly solutions that make the hitch worse. You will never have these problems with other cars guaranteed! The service team is below par and they claim to be expert problem solvers. However the workmanship is shoddy and they can’t measure for a hitch sleeve. Never again Volvo.

I started the car buying process at the start of the year and Gengras Volvo was my first stop. I was set up with Adam Whitford to start discussing car options and availability. The initial visit was excellent. Adam was extremely knowledgeable about the product he was selling and really tailored the experience around exactly what I was looking for. He understood I was not making a decision at that point since I planned to test drive several other vehicles. In the end, I ended up coming back to make a deal with Adam at Gengras. 1) I loved the car 2) The dealership environment was clean, professional, and relaxing. 3) The other staff members were extremely friendly and helpful. 4) Adam was a major contributor to me choosing this car at this location. The service he provided was top notch. We kept in touch throughout the entire process, he was very helpful in exploring ALL options, and was never pushy. When it came to making a decision, it was an easy one for my wife and I. This was possibly the best sales experience I've had! Eric G.

I've been a customer for about 8 years and have never been dissatisfied with the service and sales department. The service associate Peter Busher informs me of every aspect of service for our Volvo's. We have Tony Dinino perform all the service and we leave with confidence of peace of mind that it was done correctly. Our sales rep Vecdet was able to find me a great S60 that's been pure joy to drive. These are the reasons that keep me coming back and allow me to give Gengras Volvo a 10 rating.

I inquired about a car listed on their website that was posted at $45,699. The salesperson (Tyler Hackett) responded to let me know the price had gone up to $46,000, more than $1,200 higher. Not sure what kind of scam they have going on there.
