Dealer uses cars.

Dealer uses cars.com as a bait and switch. I specifically asked if the car was “available, accessible and running” before scheduled the appointment and drove 30 min there. When I arrived I’m told that it is not running - it has a blown engine and the other car was not there - both are still listed on the site.

Went to Middletown Nissan for over 10 years, driving

Went to Middletown Nissan for over 10 years, driving over 45 mins vs going to Hoffman or closer Nissan locations and recommended my parents to go there only for them to treated like trash. The dealership has gone downhill substantially with no awareness of how to treat customers let alone using elderly couples. I should have gone with them so that they wouldn’t have been put through the car finance processing, given a cash deposit and changed their insurance only to return the next day, after driving 45 mins, to be told “nope, you can’t have the car”. Somebody clearly messed up and my parents were given false hope. On top of that, did not return my parents $500 CASH deposit until I had to call for my parents after they refused to take my mothers calls. Funny how a cash deposit can take over two weeks to be refunded. The general manager had no clue what was going on and has no tap on her own dealership. Do not go to this dealership. I’ll be going elsewhere moving forward and if Nissan does not demand excellence, I’ll take over 15 years of Nissan business elsewhere too.

I went to trade in my Nissan Rogue and buy a middle size

I went to trade in my Nissan Rogue and buy a middle size SUV. I have bought more than 7 cara with different dealers but this was the most terrible experience I had ever. I had to wait 5hrs even without a water bottle but still finalized half way. The salesman trapped me with my trade in and I had to wait 5hrs after that to get the car. The salesman never mentioned that Nissan Rouge sports is discontinued and he hide it. If he told me about it I would put more money and would get another model. This is not the way to do business. I totally disappointed and I can’t give even a single star.

We recently purchased a 2016 BMW X4 from Middletown

We recently purchased a 2016 BMW X4 from Middletown Nissan and feel compelled to share my experience to help other potential buyers make informed decisions. A couple of issues became apparent immediately after purchase: The dashboard is separated from its mounting under the glove compartment; Only one key fob was provided, a fact mentioned only after the sale had been consummated. We realize a used car is sold "as is," However, we believe these issues were known but deliberately not disclosed during the sales process. We attempted to address these concerns professionally by calling the dealership numerous times in the days following our purchase. We ended up sending a formal letter to the dealership requesting assistance with repairs. Unfortunately, they have chosen to completely ignore all of our communications. What disappoints us most isn't just the issues with the vehicle, but the dealership's complete lack of post-sale customer service and their unwillingness to even acknowledge our concerns. A simple response, even if unable to help, would have demonstrated basic customer respect. While we understand used cars may have issues, honest communication and basic customer service shouldn't be too much to expect from a professional dealership. Our message to anyone considering a purchase at Middletown Nissan is BUYER BEWARE.

I worked with a lot of great sales reps, they are not to

I worked with a lot of great sales reps, they are not to blame!! I originally gave this dealership 5 stars but unfortunately feel the need to change it to a 1 star due to fraud. I had leased a car back in 2021 and bought it out 4 months ahead of schedule (6/2024 instead of 10/2024). I signed the contract and made a check that included the 4 additional lease payments. Long story short, an additional lease payment was taken out of my bank account after the contract had been signed. When I asked them, they told me numerous times that I’d receive a refund check in the mail. Fast forward 4 months, I never received anything, but when I contacted Nissan finance, they claimed my account wasn’t closed until 7/2024 and that everything balances out. The DMV clerk cut me off consistently and hung up the phone. Unfortunately this means the dealership kept my lease payment. I asked several times for a copy of my signed paperwork which I have not received. Anyways, I thankfully ended up getting my money back when I contacted my bank and let them know the situation (shoutout to BOA) but I am frustrated because I really did like them and was planning on buying my Nissan Z in 2026…just won’t be doing that anymore.

This place is amateur hour.

This place is amateur hour. I was a sales rep for 20 years and owned a business for another twenty. This is no way to run a business. They will promise you anything until they have your money and then they don't know your name. It took me three weeks and multiple phone calls to get my truck in the condition I paid for it. I must have visited the dealership 5 or 6 times for a registration, a bed liner and a bed cover a 40-minute drive each time. The work seemed to have been done properly but they seem to be in the habit of telling you something will be ready at a certain time, and you show up at the appointed hour and it is not ready. You should receive your vehicle in the condition it was promised, pay your bill and drive off. A supposed 3 days turning into three weeks of hassle. Sales staff is untrained in basic sales techniques. Staff is screwing around in the showroom on a ping pong table or having coffee hour. If they are not engaged with customers, they should be dialing for dollars. Ditch the ping pong table and establish a dress code for salespeople. Weird combination of anything goes on salespeople. Black pants, black shoes and a Nissan golf shirt would be my recommendation. No exceptions. Time for some sales training: Zig Zigler, Dale Carnegie, Tom Hopkins and my personal favorite Lee Dubois though he is hard to find now a days. I would not buy another vehicle from this dealer and would not recommend them to friends or business associates. The building is pretty but that is about it.
