Great Experience at South Shore Hyundai!
I had a wonderful experience at South Shore Hyundai recently. Rob helped my father and I as I looked for a new Hyundai Elantra. I have always driven that model car and have never been let down. I needed to get a new car due to a recent car accident. Rob was extremely helpful and knowledgable with updating us on the amazing progress Hyundai has made with their Elantra. He immedately showed me their new model and let me test drive the car. That exact car became the one that I decided to lease and it was definitely a great decision. Rob was very accomodating in finding a lease program that was suitable for my financial situation, especially since I have never leased a new car before. I urge anyone to go to South Shore Hyundai because it was definitely a great and easy experince for me! And don't forget to ask for Rob!

What a fraud….stay away
I went there to buy an new Tuscon on Labor Day weekend. After along negotiation, we settled on a price. It took two more hours to see Ivan, their finance guy. Another negotiation to get a reasonable interest rate. I was so tired by that time, I signed all the papers he put in front of me. The next day I noticed the bill of sale had thousands of dollars on it for extended warrantees that I didn't ask for and no one explained them to me. They were put there without my knowledge or consent. After my phone calls and emails were ignored I went back and spoke to Ivan, who promised to refund me the money. He said he needed 90 days to do it. I was in touch with several times, and he assured it was in the works. After 90 days, I went back and guess what, no more Ivan. The new finance guy tells me he knows nothing about it. He eventually tells me he will get refund for me and even signs a paper to that effect. After a month, I call to speak to him, and they tell me he is not there anymore. I send an e-mail to Fred Luhn, who claims to represent the dealership. He refers me to Leo Singleton at the dealership. I spoke to Leo in person, and he swears he will help me. That was a month ago, and no refund yet, just more of the same…no returning my phone calls or key emails. Save your time and money, don't go there. I am ready to go to small claims court over this.

High Level of Professionalism, Integrity & Customer Centric!
Now I know why Hyundai has increased their market share in very recent years vs. Toyota & Honda! Thank you Fred - you made me into a former SUV car owner. As a FIRST time sedan car buyer in over a decade, Fred Heller made the entire process so easy, no nonsense & actually, fun. Fred is very attentive, personable and a great listener! Wasted time and then no return calls
Came in on a snowy Sunday to look at a used car we saw on their website. Test drove it, went over numbers all looked good. Was ready to purchase and take delivery that day but was having an issue with financing. Waited almost 2 hours to see the finance guy who then said he had to call some banks the next day (monday) to secure a rate and make sure it worked with our budget. Never got a call back from him or our sales person Fred.

So I received a response from Leo Singleton the customer service manager that he was going to call me to discuss what happened and he never called either.
These Are My Kind Of People! Truly, A class act!
So I wanted to take a look at the 2015 Hyundai Sonata since it was just re-designed. South Shore Hyundai was the closest dealer to me, so I went there "first", figuring I would have to spend days going from dealer to dealer, and wasting a lot of time which I do not have to start with. Once I entered the front door, I was greeted by Fred Heller, who was so warm and friendly, and I got a good genuine vibe from him from the getgo. He pointed me to the showroom, and we chatted while I took the escalator (and he took the stairs). We took an in depth look at the Sonata and next thing I knew I was behind the wheel driving down Sunrise Hwy in one. This car really drives nice! Once back at the showroom, I enjoyed a WARM hot chocolate, and we figured out the colours and options that were important to me. I was driving an older Nissan at the time, which I was going to give to a relative, which Fred told me his "pre-enjoyed" (used) manager would love to evaluate for me. How could I say no?......... As it turned out, they had the exact car/colour/option pkg I wanted in stock! They then worked up a price that was much better than I thought I could get with my less than stellar credit. To put the icing on the cake, they even took my old car in, and gave me more than I thought it was worth. I was impressed, but skeptical, as everyone told me that car dealers don't treat anyone well...........Go see Fred! While still sipping the hot chocolate, I met with Fabian, who took care of all my paperwork, and set me up with several great products that I felt she created just for my personal needs in a car. By now, I was thinking to myself.............could anyone here be more helpful? After we wrapped up the paperwork, Fred introduced to to the whole management team of John Lasalla (GM), Roberto, Rob Betts, and he introduced me to the whole service staff as well as Ed (I forgot his last name) who runs service. I felt like I was the ONLY CUSTOMER THERE! Fred tells me this is how they treat everyone, but I can't imagine there is enough hours in the day to treat everyone like this. All I can say is that I felt like I was on a magic carpet ride from start to finish! A #1 treatment. I couldn't be happier, and I was even given the General Manager's cell phone (by him) if I wasn't 110% satisfied. Read my lips "this is the defacto as to how it's done". "A class act all the way".

After shopping around at a few other Hyundai dealers I was a little discouraged, but as soon as I walked into this dealership I was immediately at ease, buying a car isn't always a fun experience. Stephon Corbett was an amazing salesman, kind, courteous and accommodating.. He worked endlessly to get me the deal I wanted and I'm very happy with my new car, thanks Stephon!!! 2015 Hyundai Elantra
I recently purchased a 2015 Elantra from South Shore. Sales consultant Stephen Mansah was knowledgeable as well as personable. He along with GM John LaSala was instrumental in me coming away with my new car. John, Stephen along with the rest of the sales staff were eager to share information and were entertaining in the long process of leasing a new car.I would certainly recommend South Shore Hyundai to anyone interested in buying or leasing a new car. There is no high sales pitch there just friendly, well-informed professional people. Furthermore the cars sell themselves.
