I found Dixie Imports about 2 years ago and purchased my first vehicle with them and now I own my 3rd vehicle since I made my first purchase. I have loved all of them. This is the BEST car buying experience I've had in all of my car buying history.

Never heard back
Emailed to inquire if a particular vehicle was still available. Someone called me back (sounded as if they were a third party) and said the vehicle was still there. When I asked additional questions about the vehicle she said she would have a salesman call me. I never heard back do I didn't pursue that vehicle or that dealership.

Price is always negotiable
In brief, I found a car, test drove the car, agreed to the price posted on the their website, left a deposit since it was Sunday(Banks Closed) and when I went to pick up the car, they said oops we advertised the wrong price. It will be an additional $4000, because the mileage was wrong. Then they claimed I didn't leave a deposit. An lastly they stated well that cars not for sale. Beware of wolves in sheep's clothing, and definitely beware of this dealerships practices.

At the time this customer came to Dixie Imports, we had two identical vehicles. As a result, the wrong vehicle was presented to this customer, and as a result, it presented an uncomfortable situation for all. Naturally the customer was upset and the discussion became an argument, at which time the owner (who reserves the right) closed the entire negotiation down and opted not to sell either unit to the customer at all. Again this was an unfortunate situation and like any customer who visits Dixie Imports, we appreciate that this consumer chose Dixie to come see a car, and invite this couple to return to possibly find another vehicle of their liking, that CAN be purchased. This consumer is correct in that Dixie Imports was open on a Sunday, however, only because it is tax season and no senior sales managers were available. Sunday is normally the only day that Dixie Imports IS closed. If this customer hasn't purchased a vehicle yet, we would welcome the opportunity to meet again and see if we may find something that suits this couple to their liking. Lastly, and most importantly, Dixie Imports would like to extend its sincere apology for the entire situation having gone the wrong way. Our goal truly is customer satisfaction and we would like the chance to prove that. We remain respectful of whatever choice this customer makes and again, thank them for visiting our lot in Fairfield Ohio.
Do not buy any cars here
I bought a VW CC in 2014 with 72000 mile on it, carfax was clean. But when I drive back to Virginia I found it was leaking oil. I spent 1500 bucks fixing the rear main seal and vacuum pump. After one month, the engine totally DIE. I send it to local VW and they said there is a hole in engine block and it cost 7200 to fix it. I spent 12000 on that car and I was told to spend 7200 to fixed otherwise I would have a junk. Never Never buy any cars here!!!!!

Dixie Imports does not like hearing of this situation whatsoever. That said, it is imperative to remind this consumer that Dixie Imports is a used car dealership, who sells good quality vehicles. Because the vehicles are of a used nature, we highly recommend that the consumer purchase a warranty for their vehicle in such instance, where it is found that there may be major problems with the vehicle. Prior to purchasing any of these units to place for sale on the lot, Dixie Imports purchases a complete inspection of each unit, to ensure it will be receiving a sound product. Again, these are used cars and all of us are at risk, including Dixie Imports, which is again, why it offers a good warranty, to help absorb some or all of the cost of major repairs. We are sincerely sorry that this consumer did not have a good experience and invite the customer to return to possibly trade the unit back in and purchase a different car.
Looking for a used car.
We found a car on cars.com and we called and talked to a salesman about it. We told him that we were coming down to look at it. The drive took us about 1 1/2 hours. After we arrived, we were told that it was taken to another lot. We looked at the car and we found out that there were a few things that needed fixed. The drivers door wouldn't work from the outside handle and a low pressure tire pressure sensor needed replaced or fixed. We weren't told about the issues on the phone. After talking to the salesman for awhile, he left us to talk to the manager or someone. We took our keys from the salesman desk after about 30 minutes of waiting and informed them that we were leaving. We just didn't have a good feeling about what was going on. We later purchased a Cadillac from a different dealership and we love it. We did not have a good experience at this used car lot.

Dixie Imports is very sorry to hear that your experience was less than expected. As one should assume, Dixie Imports sells used vehicles. With that, it should not be anticipated that any one vehicle would be free of ANY defects, as a most new cars are. If asked about issues with a unit, any known are certainly disclosed. We would much prefer a customer to be fully aware of any problems with a used car purchase PRIOR to the sale vs after. the customer does not mention in the complaint whether they inquired about any issues, therefore, this response may fall short of a complete response to this portion. Dixie Imports maintains approximately 350 units between 2 locations and is always happy to run an Auto Check report upon request & prior to a potential purchase. We certainly invite this customer to return to our main location to see the Sales Manager and give Dixie Imports another opportunity. In any case, Dixie Imports apologizes that this consumer did not have a better experience.
excellent '08 Hyundai Elantra in KBB's low range!
after 3 weeks and having added 1400 miles since my purchase, I'm still quite pleased with my purchase. I arrived to this Dixie Imports after being disappointed with a used car up the street, and without having made any appointment. the salesman who helped me, kenny, was approachable, not pushy, not burdensome with "agenda". kenny asked my preferences, then patiently showed me 4 or 5 vehicles within that criteria. kenny also gave me several, simple techniques for assessing each vehicle's maintenance (checking fluids, hoses, etc). these were quick and practical and i used this strategy as I continued to shop for a used vehicle. kenny sat in each vehicle with me and showed me the accessories and made sure he was familiar with/would honestly verify the quality of each vehicle we looked at. the finance woman spoke clearly and was patient with answering any questions. the minor repair my vehicle required (one new rim and tire) was provided for within 12 hours of my purchase. thanks, kenny. thanks, Dixie Imports.

Ford Escape
We stopped in to look at a later model Escape and found a newer model Escape (2013) for a price that was in our budget. The sales person worked hard to gain financing for our new Escape and the staff was very personable.

Best car lot I've ever been too!
We came in on a whim because we saw really nice looking cars on the lot, we where greeted almost as soon as we stepped out of our car by Jeremy. He is a salesman here, he really took his time explaining different vehicles to us and explained all our options. We test drove a couple cars today and found our perfect match! This car lot is nice and friendly and all around personable. If your trying to find a good reliable car to fit your budget this is the place to come.........Not only did we buy a car my mother in law stopped by while we where doing our deal and bought one too!

I highly recommend this dealership to anyone in the market for a used car. I was in the market for a specific car and the sales staff was very helpful in getting me in the car I wanted. WASTE OF TIME AND GAS MONEY TO VISIT
I called about a car listed on their website and asked if it was still available. The salesperson said they still had the car and answered a few of my questions. I told them that we may come out that evening or the next to look at the car and was told to ask for Anita. I called back about 30 minutes later to see if they could hold the car until we got out there and was told we would need to speak to the salesperson. She took my name and number and said he would call me back in a few minutes. After 30 minutes and no return call, my husband left for the 30 mile trip to the dealer and I left to pick up my mom and her husband (the interested buyers) to meet my husband at the dealer. Upon arrival we were told that the vehicle was moved because they were getting ready for lot repairs. Then after about 15 minutes we were told that they no longer had that vehicle. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND GAS MONEY!!!!!!!

As you may well be aware, there are approximately 100 used car dealerships on Dixie Highway in Fairfield, so hearing that you were disappointed is definitely NOT something that makes us smile. That said, in the fall, we did completely repave our entire lot and all of the vehicles had to be moved to our second location down the street. The likely reason that vehicle was sold is because Dixie Imports prices their cars to sell quickly. We invite you to compare NADA prices to the vehicles on our lot and we believe you will find those numbers are exceptionally comparable. Dixie Imports does not inflate its prices. We are in business to get you the car you need, when you need it, at the price you want & without all the hassle and haggle of negotiating a price.
