Highly Recommend
I just purchased my second car from Plaza Motors. The process was easy. The car is reliable and the price was good. Rich, the owner was very helpful. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for an inexpensive and reliable car.

Shimran Alam
Great experience for all parties involved, loved the interactions, comrade, and awesome pricing. This includes employees, clients, and managerial positions. This car dealership is so good that it does not require any improvements.

Used car buyer
I usually prefer private sales. but with the COVID crap going on and poor experiences with a few Craigslist bullies, I began looking at used car dealers. My daughter looked at hundreds of cars online and then began using CARS.COM and within a very short time narrowed her search to just a few vehicles. Starting from what seemed to be the best deal in her price range we decided to check out Plaza Motors in Rensselaer. We went to Rich's place "just to look" at a car. He handed us the keys and said take your time. Well she fell in love with the car and I had a couple small concerns. Rich was extremely easy going and assured me all would be addressed. We bought the car on the spot and he did everything for us from checking my concerns to registering and inspecting. First car we looked at, we bought! Something I would never normally do. I was now off the hook for hours of browsing. Rich made sure our concerns were addressed and the entire process was awesomely pleasing. Thank You. I will absolutely shop here again and recommend to friends and family.

Great Dealer to do business with!
Was looking for a 2nd vehicle for my son, Rich was great to work with, felt very comfortable dealing with him over the vehicle. Honest, great value. Seemless in getting new plates/ registration etc. Son loves truck! Drove home and heard a noise I didnt hear when I drove it. Called Rich he immediatly called me back and told me to bring to his mechanic, I did and fixed no issues since! Very happy with purchase!

Great Price
Recently purchased 2011 Honda Accord from Plaza Motors. Rich was very straight forward with buying process and easy to do business with. Car was $1500 behind book value. Great deal for a Honda. Rich allowed us to take the vehicle to our mechanic for inspection prior to purchase. We will definitely do business again with Plaza Motors. Thank you for a great car.

A- Used Car Dealership
Really nice Guy and in the End was a step up from the rest. When we first arrived at his Lot he was 20 minutes late and seemed rushed . He was apologetic and got to us right away. We already knew what we had wanted from doing our online research And looked at his inventory from his Website. He was a fast talker and had a Bait and switch with his online price @ $4988 for the Car we were interested in and at his lot the price was $5400 and he wasn’t interested in our offer we made to him that was His online price but just shy of the $4988 , we offered $4500 cash and went up to $4800 and he wasn’t gonna deal so we told him Thanks and he was one of 10 places we were going to Nd he was our first stop. Well he then said he would take a $100 off his original price but would go down to $4850 And we took his deal without ever saying a word about his Online price and his in person price. He made sure the car was in good shape , topped off the gas made a few minor adjustments, took care of all the DMV stuff and a couple days later we came to pick up the car and again he was late. However by no means is this a bad review and he’s a straight shooter and a pretty decent Guy and I’d recommend anyone to buy a Car from Him but remember they’re used cars , but he does his best to get you in a good running one..

Repeat buyer-never again
First I’ll start off by saying a few years ago I bought a car from Rich and it’s still going strong at almost 200,000 miles. Purchased the 3 month warranty and never needed it. Fast forward a few years later, and I go back to buy another car because the first one was great and the service was good. Test drove a few and then found an SUV I was interested in. Was told he put a lot of money into it and what not. “Thousands” he said. I purchased the 6 month extended warranty, thank God I did, and was on my way....over 7k later. About two weeks into driving the SUV, the check engine light came on. Car started shaking and it just overall wasn’t running right. Called Rich and was told to bring it to his mechanic. And so I did. Almost TWO weeks later after dropping it off, my car is diagnosed, and it had to have the whole air intake replaced, control arms were completely rusted and the mechanic said thank God I didn’t drive it, as the control arms were about to break and that I brought it in when I did and the power steering lines had to be replaced...they were rusted out and leaking. The warranty place did not want to cover the control arms. I called and yelled about this almost $1,000 extra warranty that was so good....finally they paid for it. I ended up almost $500 out of pocket for the power steering which wasn’t covered because it was all the lines, not the pump. Fast forward to the 5 month mark. Check engine light back on. ABS light on, traction stabilizer light and some other light on. Check engine was for system lean bank 1 (same as the first time) and OEM not going to PCM or something of the sort. Speedometer was saying I was driving 40mph and I was going 5. It wouldn’t go to 0mph when stopped and when it did, it took forever to drop down to 0mph. Call the mechanic, told to drop it off and again, TWO weeks they had the car. This time I’m told all it is is a wheel barring. I mentioned the check engine light and what not. And it was “fixed.” Allegedly. Picked the car up on a Wednesday and by Thursday night, the day after my warranty is up, check engine light is back on for the SAME issue. Never was fixed. Called the mechanic again. He had the audacity to tell me “what do u want me to do about it? These things take time and I’m really busy. These things can take forever to diagnose. I have cars in my lot now for the same thing. The warranty place doesn’t pay xxxx on diagnostics. It runs fine. If it’s a matter of it passing inspection, i can get it to pass. You can drop it off next week and leave it and I’ll fix it.” At this point I’m completely floored. What I thought was good business was not. I trusted Rich, as he was a no nonsense guy and sold me a good car before. I had another mechanic take a look at the SUV today and it’s a computer issue for the one code and the other is a few different things it could be. So now it’s trial and error. Now I’m no longer under warranty, and will need to replace a lot. At this point, a quick sale is better than fixing it. I wont bash the dealer because I should have been smart enough to have a mechanic look at it first but this has put such a bad taste in my mouth that I’ll never buy another vehicle from plaza motors again. Like he told me, no one has a crystal ball to determine what could go wrong with a used vehicle, but the mechanics behavior and lack of wanting to deal with the complexity of the problem, is not ok. I even asked to trade the SUV back as it is in the same condition as I bought it. Only a couple thousand miles more than what I bought it at. He could easily sell it for 6k if he fixed it. He told me bring it back without the engine light on and 3,000 and he will give me a civic. The audacity. He’s a no nonsense guy but beware of what u are getting into. Bring a mechanic. The warranty is not worth it because there are loop holes everywhere so they don’t have to pay. This time I feel swindled. Thought Rich would make it right, but I thought wrong. Very wrong.
