Joe and his mechanics are great! They did a great job on the timing chains on my Nissan truck. They are honest and they don't pull your leg! My brother takes his cars to them for years and I'm comfortable to do the same. He told me it would take a full day or so and that's what he promised. In the end the truck runs like it's new. I bought a 100K mile Dodge Dakota from Joe last year. He was great to work and honest, and he offered a 12month/12K mile parts warranty. Of course some issues came up on a truck of that age, but Joe fixed them no hassle. Truck still runs great and I still bring it back to Joe, even though I'm past the warranty. Definitely recommend his business.

My grandson bought his first car, 2006 Chevy Cobalt, from Joe Downey over 4 years ago and it is still running strong. Price was fair and he has certainly got his money's worth. All repairs as needed are done by Downey's, costs as reasonable, friendly service and quality work. Would not go anywhere else. My car broke down the day before I was due to take my kids on vacation. I found a car a Downey Auto Repair for a reasonable price. Joe and his mechanics worked on a couple of minor issues with the car in the morning and had it ready for me to leave by early afternoon. Knowing that I was short for time, Joe even drove the car to my house! While I was gone, Joe registered the car for me. It was the easiest car purchase I have ever made. The car runs very well and is backed up by a six-month or 6,000 warranty. I will definitely go back to Downey Auto Repair for my next car! Highly recommended.

I purchased a '95 Toyota Tercel at Downey Auto three years ago. Aside from repairs from normal wear and tear this little car is still running well! I couldn't be happier with my purchase and the excellent service that's provided by Downey Auto whenever I bring the car there. I'm planning a trip to Florida and my mind is at ease knowing that this car is going to get me there.

My husband and I recently purchased a used car from Downey Auto repair. Their prices were reasonable and their customer service was excellent. Joe was very friendly and helpful. He was willing to make needed minor repairs on the vehicle before we took it home and even gave us a couple of weeks to make the full payment since we didn't have the money when we first came to look at it. What really sealed the deal for me besides buying this great truck from Joe.was his salesmen ship when I ask to take the truck for a ride he put the plates on and told me the best place to try it out and went back to work.....I think I was away for over a half hr or so...he didn't come off Like a cheese salesman...I remember telling him that I got a nice vibe from him . And that means allot....Pawling ny is where I brought the truck which is a small area but he has that vibe as the only little shop in town which everybody grew to love and trust......I guess Joe will be seeing that 2005 ford ranger for annual check ups...
