I use Downey, my sister uses Downey, my parents use Downey, and no other shop has ever matched up. I moved out of the area for a time and was forced to venture to other garages. Suffice it to say I am releived to be back and able to rely on Downey Auto whenever my vehicle needs service.

Bought a Tacoma from Joe, the previous owner had replaced the a/c blower motor. I was having issues with it not blowing strong enough Joe checked it out and found that it had been wired backwards. He gives everyone a warranty and I’m so glad he repaired it right away. I highly recommend Joe Downey for all your automotive needs. 5 Stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Joe Downey looked at our Subaru after another dealer had given up on it. Soon, it was back on the road with flying colors! Impressive!!

Joe took care of my Dad’s car and now he takes care of mine. He takes my routine appointments and fixes any immediate safety issues like a burnt out blinker bulb in a pinch. He is a good neighborhood mechanic!

I don't know why I didn't bring my baby (Honda CRV) to Joe before now but lesson learned. He squeezed me in for an emergency repair and will be doing some other much needed work. He's honest, hard-working and cares about his customers. Thank you for helping to get me back on the road.

I bought a 2007 Honda Odyssey from Joe Downey in 2017 with 155,000 miles on it. It was a gamble because I was leaving the same day to drive down to Virginia with my kids. Four years later, I just drove the same car with 277,000 miles on it down and back to Florida. The car has never had any major issues. When I told Joe I was driving to FL, he told me to take his number with me in case anything happened to the car. (Yes, he is that loyal to his customers.) On the way back in South Carolina, the check engine light started flashing and the car started bucking back and forth. I called AAA who steered me towards a AAA Customer Care center that wanted to charge me $880 to fix my car. I called Joe, who told me that was ridiculous. He called around and found me another shop in SC to take my car. The new shop had my car fixed in two hours for $236!!! I cannot say enough good things about Downey Auto. Joe is honest, reliable, and truly cares about his customers. I would never go anywhere else!

I PURCHASED A SUBURU OUTBACK FROM JOE. I NOTICED IT WAS HAVING A PROBLEM WHEN SLOWLY ACCELERATING FROM A STOP (BUCKING). AFTER SOME TROUBLESHOOTING, JOE DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM BEING THE TRANSMISSION. JOE REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION. BEING UNDER WARRANTY, THERE WAS NO CHARGE AT ALL. FANTASTIC JOB BY JOE. THE VEHICLE RUNS GREAT NOW. GO SEE JOE. DO BUSINESS WITH THE MAN. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

I am a happy man sitting in the truck I bought from Joe. He worked with me making arrangements to pick up the truck on New Year's day after 6 pm.

I’ve been looking for a car for Grandson for months and under $5000 looked at least 20 car , one junk after another , Bondo wagons , smashed fenders Then by accident I found Joe at Downey Auto , Thank God , knew what I needed stepped up , accommodated me , help me and my Grandson is As Happy as can be .
