Do whatever it takes to avoid this company. They will try to scam you and ruin your credit. They try to badger you into signing large documents without having read them, sign over thousands of dollars in extended warranties and security features, and unneccesarily run your credit after telling them you already have financing through your bank. There's a reason people call them "screwjack".

misleading ad
Buyer Beware. The other reviews seem to ring true with my experience. The ad for a 70k vehicle I was considering was misleading, vehicle was posted as new but was a loaner. Mileage posted was several thousand less than reality. Only after some digging did they volunteer this info. Glad I didn't make the day's drive before I noticed what they were up to.

Expected much better service
The first time I bought a vehicle from Lujacks was in 2012. I searched and researched vehicles and saw they had what I wanted. I contacted them and they agreed to hold it until I could come in and look at it. When I came in to look at it, I could not make up my mind. They let me keep it over the weekend so I could really try it out. The vehicle had air conditioning issues, and they made sure to get it fixed if I paid for the diagnostic. The process went very smooth. The vehicle lasted for 5 years without any major issues. I was bored with it In December of 2017. I had a few vehicles I was interested in. They sold all but one of them. They tried to sell me something out of my price range. They ran my credit without my permission saying they were doing a soft pull not a hard pull. The sales manager was rude and condescending. The sales person was actually great. She treated me very well but her manager treated me like garbage. I was allowed to test drive the first vehicle I bought without being "babysat." I wasn't allowed to do that at all the second time. I have very good credit, but I was treated like my score was much lower. When I decided to buy the one vehicle left they had that i was interested in, they told me I could exchange it within 7 days. I found out one of the vehicles that I wanted hadn't sold after all but they removed it from their website when I asked about the exchange. However, I could see it as I drove by the lot for days after. They told me it had sold so I couldn't do the 7 day exchange. Maybe my expectations were too high based on my first experience.

No communication
Found a car on line made as appointment to see the vehicle and showed up just like I was supposed to only to find out it was sold. No communication between online and sales personnel. Very disappointed after the 3 hour drive there.

worst experience ever
Tried to look at a used car, unfriendly staff. Another sales staff made snarky comment about the ethnicity of another sales staff member. Total turn off. I’ll never ever return

Listing continued even after car was sold, no coordination as one agent saying available and appt was made and it turned out vehicle was already sold. Very disappointed.

Not the greatest experience
Found the vehicle online.. got to the lot and the information on the website did not match the car on the lot. Test drove the vehicle.. gave them an offer they tried showing me papers with incorrect information on it.. left upset.. would never go back to that place again...

Liars
I went in to negotiate a price on Saturday and they were unable to match the value of the car from True Car online. I walked out and immediately received a call saying they can lower the price further. I discussed the value of my trade-in and the purchase price for the vehicle I wanted via text. I confirmed with the salesman (Marvin) the value for my trade and the price of the new car and said I'd be in the next day. I show up ready to sign and MAGICALLY, the price increased $1,500 in one day. No way the manufacturer would increase the price on a 2017 and that it would happen in the middle of the month. I was able to go to Iowa City and they honored the deal Lujack's originally had offered in writing via text. I will never bring my business back to Lujack's.
